Made my 10 year old's hockey experience epic!

I purchased these to replace a pair that my older son used for 10 years, they lasted 10 years! My youngest son started hockey this year and used a 10 year old hand my down pair that finally lost a wheel. Purchased the exact same pair and they are perfect! These are great to chase your friends around before practice and between games when you don't want to retie your skates. Great product, no cons!

Best purchase ever

It saves the hockey blades from getting damaged from the ice to the locker room. They are super durable when my daughter bangs them on the ground to take them off (which I tell her not to do but she does it anyway). They fit both the size she is currently in and the next size as well. Well worth the money.

Broke a year later

One of the guards completely snapped. They were used only to come and go from rink and it’s not even daily use, so I’m extremely disappointed that they only lasted a year. And out of the year we only used it maybe 9 months, about 2-3x a week from the parking lot to the locker room, for the price of these they need to be more durable.

Really great roller guard for hockey skates!

I was on the fence about buying this Rollergard Ice Skate Guard but having seen it on another kid after hockey practice I thought, why not? It's a little expensive at $59.99 but it's still cheaper and better than buying a dedicated roller skate that my son will outgrow within a year or less. So this was a nice alternative option. Because it has 4 wheels, it is more stable and less like skating than a normal roller blade but the fact that you can just throw this into your hockey back and put it on immediately after practice is perfect. I'm glad we got it and will be using it for years. Update. It's been a while but I finally got photos of him using it. He was a little nervous at first because it glides really quickly and he's not too sure how to stop. There is a runner ball on the back of the right skate that he's learning to use. He also has little feet so the roller skate is a bit too long but he's getting it!

Fun for the kids, but not so practical.

Little kids love these and they're well made. We don't cut them down as they're very expensive relative to more traditional skate guards. Also, not very good for going from the car to the rink, but the kids still love them.

Your gonna scratch up your blades

Sucks!Comes off right when my daughter steps,it even breaks off in a couple steps(2-3 steps maximum)!Not balancing for me,I suggest to buy some kind of good in-line roller skates instead,it’s just like on the ice with Roller Skates anyways,the point of this review is the pop off so easily,I did everything,my daughter was very disappointed about this product and so was I.So I returned it.Then I bought cool in-line skates,gonna try them in a couple minutes.Those in-line skates even come with a bag!I think I’ll have more satisfactory with these in-lines skates. It was not very stable to my daughter and when I looked at it didn’t look as stable as I thought as well.Really,DON’T buy this product.Your also gonna scratch your blades and ruin your skates and get new skates,SO DON’T BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great product but can mark floors

Really like these. Especially with covid need to have kids dressed in hockey gear before entering arena. No parents no locker rooms. 4 stars only because we get him dressed at home. Small wheels mark wood floors when he skates out of house. Slightly larger and softer wheels would be an improvement. Very happy regardless.
