These are perfect to use while cutting the lawn
I bought these to wear when I am on my lawn tractor cutting my lawn. FM radio reception is great. Blocks out all the engine noise and they are protecting my hearing at the same time. Highly recommend.

Have both versions and bought a celebrity a set.
Excellent product and fits big heads great! Very comfy and you almost forget you have them on. The padded inside earcups is a plus ,but if you fall asleep with them on you may get an ear ache because the insert pads over the speakers are a little too thin. So here's my rec. Get you a Wrap-a-nap. And if your not using it from your eyes and ears, use it for your head. That is lay your earmuffed noggin in the middle of the wrap-a-nap and it provides a cushion around the muffed Ear.( That is if your a nut like me and wear them to bed) if you lie on your side. Also for added extra comfort, get some camel back HY80A gel Sealing Rings. They provide extra comfort and block a little more noise than the standard cushions. The wireless version is pretty neat in that it has Bluetooth, and a micro USB port along with 3.5 Jack outlet . If you go with the Jack you have to cut the Bluetooth off and unlike the wired headset you have to power up the wireless to use the 3.5 outlet being there is a function for it on the AM/FM button. The wired you can just plug your phone or mp3 and turn it up by the device volume. Update 4/12/16 Also, the stereo sound is way better than the communications headsets in some cases. Update 4/30/16 Keep in mind the newest Wired work tunes are not digital and the Tekk logo is no longer under the 3M logo. They are better than they ever were . Update 5/1/16 Purchased both Wired and Wireless sets for McKenzie Westmore-Tatopoulos. She seems pretty ecstatic to get them. Update, 12/26/16 back in October gave away several older models and finally bought a pair of the first set they ever came out with. Just recently bought a set for a lady under me at work and she loves hers . Haven't yet to see the celebrity with hers on yet, although she said she loves them and wore them. Update 9/3/17 Bought these yet again...( I must be crazy) and a Bluetooth set at an outstanding price on eBay and gave some away. Always falling back on these when I have the money and I see someone who can't afford them needs a set for outside chores , work , home, pleasure etc. One way to give God the glory...I literally lost count how many sets I've had. Update 11/17/18 Not able to get as many as I have...I'm more of a WorkTunes Connect guy now. Also waiting on the upgrade of the 90542, the wireless bluetooth, (Black and Gray earmuffs) which will put them on par with the Worktunes Connect, having Hi Fi speakers and receiving calls. a combination of all the WorkTunes in one. Can hardly wait til black friday. 6/19/22. 3M has done better... But the padded headband that Zohan and Prohear have is a copy of the 3M WorkTunes that old on the Regular , non Bluetooth version. They need to put it back on the connect versions even if an option like they do with the gels... which is a great improvement by 3M. Also to get rid of ear pain , and I've seen a lot of reviews on this...it's really easy to go to your auto parts store and get a Sheepskin seatbelt cover, find the softest one you think your like and cut it to fit in the ear cup ( pop it out, it's easy with a butter knife) and put the Sheepskin in. The ear pain won't be there and your ears will be pretty comfy, and no sound changes ...that I can tell anyway. Actually feels very nice. If you work outside in the heat, well they may get warm on you, so just depends...but you can always have them on standby. The gels allow more room for your ears and that added with sheet "fleece" makes a very comfortable headphone earmuff. I used Sherpa fleece but I find Sheepskin with it's healing properties is far better. A thin soft medical Sheepskin would likely be better for your inserts if any cuts or Knicks on your ears or soreness. Does great for me, but we are all picky about one thing or another.

product quality
It took the seller 9 days to fill the order. The headphones were in a light box, from the manufacturer and were shipped in a PLASTIC bag. The headphone box was VERY badly crushed, but thanks to the quality of the 3M headphones they work fine.

Awesome at shielding external sound
Here's all you need to know; I will buy this product again! I mainly bought this for use during yard work when I typically listen to AM radio and iPod. Previously I tried noise-cancelling and noise-isolation headphones. They are ok to reduces the external sounds but I could still hear sound from the yard equipment and had to turn the sound up more than I wanted to. This 3M unit is awesome at reducing almost all of the sound from the yard equipement. All I hear is a faint noise that did not ruin the pleasure of whatever I am listening to. If I had this few years ago, my hearing now would have been much better than what it is now. Other than the wonderful job it does with sheilding from loud external noises, the best part of this product is the input jack. In fact, I would not have bought this if it did not have it. I listen a lot to podacasts in my iPod; so, it is a must for me. I also found that the reception from the built-in radio is not as good it could be. I found the stations to drift. So, I basically turn the built-in radio off and use at as a headphone to listen to my pocket AM radio and iPod. Another plus point is that this products limits to the sound to 87DB. I tend to raise volume almost to max on my iPod when I listen to hard-rock. So, this feature saves me from myself. In regards to fit and comfort. Initially, the earcups pinched my ears. I reread the instructions and followed them on how to adjust the earcups and headband. After these adjustments these are now reasonably comfortable. After 20 minutes or so use, they do pinch. When they do, I lift them off the ears for a few seconds and let them back on. This also helps to let fresh air into the cups. Now, for some negatives about this product. User Guide: There is no mention in the literature that I have to turn the radio off when I use the input jack. This may be common sense but it took me a few minutes to figure it out. Lastly, problem with my regular eye-glasses and protective eye-glasses I wear during yard work. The earcups and headband get in the way. I had to struggle to adjust my prescription eye-glasses to see properly. Why I want to buy this product again with all the issues I listed? I can't find a better product to sheild the sound as completely as this one does while listening to radio or iPod.

I would replace them with the same ????.
This is the third pair I have owned, and use them all day every day. Fantastic value for money. I have a dairy farm and would not be without them. ????

Good
Reduces noice really well when music/radio is playing. Reception +/- !!! There are few channels that are consistently clear. Moving a couple of feet or sometimes even moving your head causes static... *When plugged in to your smartphone eg for playing music, they simply work as headphones, meaning they don't use battery power. That's good. Downside: volume control is then located on your device...

OVER PRICED
As these Radio Headphones were 3M and expensive I was expecting quality. Sadly not impressed, just shows expensive is not always best. Sound Quality - Average Comfort - Poor Usability - Crap, would have been better with a digital readout. So you could see the stations you were trying to find. Feelings Overhaul - Feeling Ripped off.

Use them evey time I mow!
they fit a little tight the first few times I wore it and I have a small head. I was worried about how it would fit my hubs as I kinda got it for him... And me ;) but he said it fit him well. The last time I wore it, it felt much better.... Love love love that I can listen to music while riding our mower. I have AA batteries and haven't had to changed them since I bought them. So yes it lasts a while. I just plug my phone to it and bam! Listen to my Spotify list and ready! I would totally recommend this for a father's Day gift if you're looking for something.

Great value!
Better than expected! Excellent buy for the price! I was looking for something for bus and (especially) airplane rides. I find my ears numbed by noisy engines - particularly on the small planes - and figure I'm better safe than sorry. I have a more expensive pair of noise blocking headphones and wish I'd found these first. These cushions fit better over my ears (I have trouble finding a good fit) which makes the noise blocking is more effective. I didn't want blutooth or any fancy features - I use the other pair every day and they get beat up in transit - so was looking for a price point where I could afford to buy a new pair. First impressions are that they are sturdy, comfortable, and do a good job blocking outside noise. They greatly reduce engine noise when you are sitting over the wing, and listening to the news during bus rides is handy. For practicality, these get full points. I can't speak to power consumption but a fully charged set of AAs have lasted over 24 hours and, honestly, that will probably depend on the type and age of the batteries. What I do like is that they use AA batteries that can be replaced easily and you can carry spares to swap out if you run out of power on the road. Unlike devices with built-in batteries, these might still be usable 3 years from now. Not really fair comparing these to ipods, but these have some serious advantages. Furthermore, they have detachable cables to reduce clutter (I replaced the one that came with it for a retractable pair), and well mounted radio controls that can be reached without having to take them off. Some folks have complained about the tuner. I thought it was good - you turn the knob and a voice reads out the current frequency. If you are far off the station that you want, give it a few full turns; if you are close to the station that you want, just give it a few clicks. One unexpected bonus - they are pretty warm while standing at the bus stop on 5C mornings. That may backfire in the summer but since we are moving towards winter, I'm looking forward to using them as earmuffs! Two complaints: 1) if you plug anything into the headphone jack, the radio switches over - even if you turn off the player. It would be better if the "MODE" button let you toggle between sources. Having to disconnect and store the headphone cable somewhere is a nuisance. 2) The yellow colour works great if you are in construction, but is a bit too visible for casual day wear. Some styling other colour options (even plain black or grey) would open these up to a wider market. Overall, these fit my needs and price point really well. Unless they turn out to break easily or stop working for no reason, I'll give these 5 stars!
