NOT ripstop
What can I say? It's a BDU pattern shirt. However, I thought it was going to be ripstop like the ones issued way back when, and I was wrong. Absolutely NOT ripstop, and it makes me question how it will hold up with extended use. The woodland pattern also seems a bit dark, and makes me question if it's actually Propper. Moreover, I ordered a medium regular (the size of the GENUINE BDU shirt that I own) and it was a tad bit too small in the sleeves. I got their BDU pants a while ago, which WERE ripstop, so I have no idea what happened. I am a little disappointed, but its still a BDU shirt, I guess.

Great Overshirt or Light Jacket. Form, Function and Price.
A fantastic and reasonably priced piece of kit. Though some will languish at the sight of loose threads, I do not see any structural issues. A quick trip around the jacket with a lighter, and it is ready to go. In poly ripstop the OD green is sharp and vibrant, but not so much so that it appears off palette for olive drab. I purchased mine in Medium Long, and at 6'2" and 210lbs (46r suit jacket), I find this to be tailored enough that I'm not swimming, but functional enough to lay over a long sleeve shirt, and to move around. I usually roll my cuffs up onto my foraems, and also have long arms, so the length was not an issue. For the T-rex dinosaurs out there, this may be an issue. All in all, I'll be grabbing a couple more.

A pretty good/economical mainstream brand
I've always preferred Propper over Rothco & other typical brands. While not Crye quality or actual issue, the price also reflects that (a pair of pants or shirt by Crye will run anywhere from $200-$400 apiece new, for example - bit of a spicy tamale there). Unfortunately they seem to be harder & harder to find, let alone at a decent price, particularly in a BDU cut (as was retired in 2014-16ish for those accursed ACU cuts [not the camo print but the cut] with their insipid velcro everything [I HATE velcro..."Lemme just sneak up & ... *SCHRRRRRRRRKT*" - nvm good luck fixing that in the bush compared to a button w a simple/oft tiny sewing kit, hope you brought a pocket Singer & a buttload of new strips etc] & Mandarin collars which, combined with my beard usually results in them getting caught up in it like a bad recreation of a scene from Aliens/as if I'm constantly fighting off a face-hugger attack). The downside on these brands (Rothco/Propper etc) is the stitching is usually a bit sloppy, but they are otherwise good & in that you get what you pay for (versus Crye etc). As far as their usual grade/standard goes these BDUs (as I got both shirt & pants in OD) were in great shape, no visible defects (few thread trails, w as mentioned is not unusual/usually just the ends off finished stitches) & came quite quickly too. Gotta admit I held off reviewing hoping to pick more up but seems vendor isn't restocking anytime soon in my size so here my review is. Some of these are selling for well over $50 tho (a few are over $100 etc)...that mustbe in regards to supply/demand, but the going rate is $50-$60 CDN. If you are looking at $100+ I would honestly recommend something like Crye (actual field operatives will use that brand/worth it but PRICY), but if going for the standard aforementioned rates these are good BDUs & will serve most people just fine. I just wish they had a bigger selection/availability is all, but that's simply how it goes sometimes~ (As a side note I am 5'10"/165ish Lbs w a 6' armspan. kinda built like a daddy longlegs w a small 18" trunk. Large Reg fits well but Large Long will do in a pinch. I need at least a 44 chest tho so Med Reg is too short & bit tight/Med Long is pushing it & XL Reg is bit loose/usually best for coats or raingear outer shell in my case)
