food choper

I love this chopper. I just put a half an onion on it, push the lid down and DONE! It works great for celery, radishes, carrots. I also love this for chopping apples or more solid fruits. The pieces are all uniform size and just perfect for salads or adding to other dishes you are cooking. This is the second one I have had. I used the first one for years and finally the base that holds the vegetables when chopped, cracked and the lid would not stay on. I love this product and would definitely recommend it.

Great little chopper

This is my third chopper. The first two were another brand. I decided to try something different. I'm glad I did. This one looks similar but appears to be sturdier. Although it didn't come with a larger dicer, the one from my old chopper fits perfectly. I love the plastic guard that makes clean up a breeze. I'm really happy with this chopper and hope it lasts longer than my prior ones.

I absolutely love this chopper. I have used it for onions, peppers, potatoes. Man I will never ever hand chop another onion.

wish it could be sold part by part

Great little thingie. It made my life so much easier, I can do pies, lasagnas, ragouts etc. etc. in minutes which enriched greatly our menu. My favorite is "baked veggies with whatever"; I chop everything I have in the fridge, put it on a baking sheet in layers, add spices and salt and some oil, and bake in the oven until ready. Smells and tastes great! I bought already 3 of these. The problem is, the transparent bottom is made out of plastic that is much more breakable than the green top or the cutters. So it was the first to break in the two previous ones. Wish I could buy the transparent bottom separately instead of ending up with 3 green tops and 3 sets of cutters. The newest thingie had a plastic mesh that goes between the pushing pegs in the upper green part. Great idea, made it so much easier to clean the upper part, I didn't even have to use the white scratching fork on this new one. Also, don't buy the set with blades that are supposed to make long thin slices. It never works, you will have to push the slices diwon with the back of a knife, and the blades might damage the green pushing pegs. But the two sets of blades to make square pieces, one for smaller, one for larger, work great. Would give it 5 stars if it were not for durability. Also, last time it broke, I had to throw the whole batch of chopped potatoes away because the transparent bottom broke similarly to glass, in a couple of large pieces, and a bunch of smaller needle-like splinters that I was not sure I could take out of the potatoes. With all these caveats, and possible improvements, I love this thingie, it is so helpful and made my life so much easier.

Great replacement

I have broken four or five Vidalia Onion choppers over the years. This one is less expensive, my old blades fit (nice to have extras when you’re doing a lot of chopping) and I think this base May actually be sturdier!

Pretty good chopper

I’ve had mine for several years now, and it’s going strong, except for one of the rubber pads that pops off sometimes. I’ve learned a few things: make sure to load the food well inside the grid, none hanging off even a little bit, or it won’t work. Also don’t over load it when chopping things like carrots. Overall I like it. It’s a timesaver when making soups and salsas, or processing peppers and onions to freeze. Another thing I recently realized: kinda duh, but the little cleaning tool that comes with it works way better if you hold it like a scoop instead of like a rake, and scoop the residue out of the lid.

If you want this product, and have never owned a chopper like this before, buy the Vidalia Chop Wizard first. It has two blades, chop and dice. More than likely, it's molded hinge pin will break. Then you order this product. It only has the dice blade, but the Vidalia Chop Wizard's blades will fit, and this product costs less. Now you have three blades. However, this chopper will probably break on one of the front feet. The molded hinge pin a little thicker, but the breakage just moves to a different location. I am now on my third Progressive International Chopper. If anyone ever comes out with a metal version of this chopper, they might go out of business because the replacement due to product durability failure will be so respectable that you won't have to replace it every 1-2 years.

Malisimo, no corta, mentira la foto

No nos gustó, es una mentirota que corta media cebolla como aparece la imagen, a duras penas y con muchisima fuerza corta una rebanada de 1cm máximo de la cebolla, terrible, es para cortar papas cocidas o cosas suaves, para eso mejor con el cuchillo, no lo recomiendo para nada.

Exelente solo deben poner pedasos pequeños para que al cortar no sobresalgan del marco, en mi negocio me a durado un sño y sigue funciinando solo debes tener cuidado de no poner pedasos demaciado geandes o la tela de la cebolla superior muy seca ,sale la cebolla enterita no se hace jugo muy recomendable

Funcional

Fácil de usar, pude picar muy bien el tomate, calabacita y cebolla. Un poco laborioso para lavar, corta las verduras en cuadritos pequeños, muy práctico y fácil de usar.

NO ES PRÁCTICO

Los orificios son muy pequeños, se pegan y atoran fibras o trozitos de todo lo que cortés, el ángulo de presión empuja las verduras sobre las cuchillas dificultando el corte, mentira que corte ni siquiera un cuarto de cebolla, terminas cortando rebanadas muy delgadas para no doblar las cuchillas...

Producto usado ????

El empaque estaba en buen estado, el producto también, pero el producto estaba sucio ya que estaba usado. Lastima de verdad lo necesitaba y tuve que hacer la devolución.
