Best tool for chopping garlic and parsley ever!
I have quite the collection of gadgets for garlic chopping, including an expensive garlic press and a vintage tool that basically grates the garlic. Likewise for parsley, from the rolling chopping tool to a a new-fangled sort of rotary mill made by Microplane which works well, but only if the parsley is totally dry. I also have several mezzaluna knives from Italy. This is the best ever-it's so sharp, and it moves so easily, that it makes quick work of chopping herbs and garlic. It works well for chopping nuts too. I don't find the rocking handles a problem, as it helps the action. Love how it stores too. My only regret is that I can't seem to find a wooden bowl to use it with that's the right size, but I use it on a cutting board and it's fine. Totally recommend!

Quirky, Fun, and Functional Herb Chopper
This mezzaluna (half-moon) herb chopper is quite handy. I appreciate a lot of Joseph Joseph's products and this is one of them. I used to use a knife when chopping up herbs, but there's always the risk of accidentally cutting yourself. With both hands on the chopper handles, your hands are nowhere near the blade's path. It does take some getting used to because you are used to holding things a certain way and have to relearn how to cut herbs differently. When you start chopping, you will be surprised at how sharp and how well this cuts. I cut parsley a lot and this cuts easily and brilliantly. I felt like a kid learning something new for the first time. When you're done with it, you can rinse it off—and be careful when washing this because it swings back and forth. I suggest holding it by the blade. Once dry, fold it in to cover itself and protect the blade. This design takes up very little room in your kitchen drawer. This is well-made and sturdy and comes in multiple colors. I chose the green model as it helps to visually tell people it should be used for chopping green things. Recommended.

A Small Klingon Battle Weapon Masquerading as a Kitchen Tool
I really like this mezzaluna and I like the ability to fold the handles over the blade for both storage and safety. Just a note: be VERY careful folding it as it's intent for safety could quickly become your digit's demise. Had a near miss with a finger tip while closing it (⊙＿⊙')! Love: easy to store, doesn't take up tons of drawer space, easy to use, very sharp! Don't love: easy to catch your finger when folding, challenging to sharpen

My favorite herb chopping tool
The rocker blade with a handle on each side makes it very easy to chop fresh herbs. I have severe nerve compression in hands and arms and tendonitis in wrists and find this much easier to use than a Knife. I purchased this particular one elsewhere for 5 years, and it is still sharp and has no suffered no damage. I wash it by hand; it is easy to clean. I purchased this one as a gift knowing it was a good buy at the sale price offered this past December, and bought a 2nd one to keep for my future self. I highly recommend this product and find it very ergonomic with a quality blade.

A cool little tool
I really like Joseph Joseph products, they look cool, and are unusually functional and this Mezzaluna is no different, you can use it with 2 hands... well, if you have really big hands it is a bit uncomfortable, but you can also use it with one hand (if you have said bigger hands) and it makes chopping up herbs much easier (not to mention safer) than a knife, and if you throw in a clove of garlic at the same time it cuts down your prep time even more. It is easy to clean, but because it folds you have to make sure the crevices are herb free, and when it's dry the handles fold up safely over the blade so no trips to the ER to have the tip of a digit sewn back on (I won't say how I know this, but I do). Overall I am happy with the product, except for the tiny handles, but it isn't a show stopper by any means.

A clever little space saver
The folding handles on this are one of those "why the hell didn't anyone think of that before" touches that are the mark of all great design. It winds up finding a nice sweet spot between the old-school two-handed mezzalunas with fixed knobby handles, which work great but are a pain to store, and the smaller one handed mincing blades, which store easily but which I find pretty awkward to use for more than the tiniest amounts of herbs. (I have this one-handed mincer but not the special chopping block, and I really don't care for it.) I don't think it works quite as well as the larger, traditional ones, but the storage benefits are well worth the tradeoff. I do admit that since the handles/covers rotate at the hinge as you rock back and forth, it feels different to use than other mezzalunas, but once you do get used to it, it does a great job.

cuts with ease
This product cuts with ease. However, it is a bit difficult to clean because the handles are very loose so that you can close it. But overall, it is a wonderful tool for cutting pizzas or onions.

Great Investment
This is ok, for me its difficult to use. I have another I ordered on Amazon, you just use one hand. Works so much better. I kept this however, I have only used it the one time to try.

Fab tool for making life easy.
I am always wary of sharp objects, but as my arthritis gets worse, it is almost impossible to chop awkward things like herbs and garlic. This little gadget works so well with little effort getting great results. You can definitely chop garlic without getting the smell on your hands and your herbs nice and fine. And what is brilliant is that the handled fold back onto the blade acting like a guard for you to safely put it away in your kitchen drawer. I would definitely recommend.

Not curvy enough to chop effectively
I like the way the handles fold to protect the blade, but its just not curvy enough, you can't get that rocking motion you need to chop things effectively.

Un instrument de cuisine fort utile !
Ce hachoir se plie, et donc se range en prenant très peu de place dans le tiroir de cuisine. Les deux poignées, en se repliant, protègent par le fait même, le tranchant de l'outil. Celui-ci est bien dessiné, et pratique à utiliser.
