The striking surface is not leather its synthetic and the foot elastic is a bit loose. Seems to work fine just striking will see when grappling later. I'm 5'7" about 145 and they fit perfect height wise. Go to right before the toes on my size 10.5 feet. Would rate 5 stars but the description should not say leather.

I've been a big fan of windy for a long time. The quality is outstanding. I would warn anyone wanting a pair to size their calves. I got a large and their are to small. It wasn't uncomfortable, but it was more an issue putting them on and off. Other than that I have zero complaints about them, and will be buying another(larger) pair.

Quality Product.

Very durable and heavy. Definitely a quality product. I pride myself in hard accurate kicking and these provide the protection against the best of them. Muai Thai for 2 yrs, Tae Kwon Do (KMA) for 10yrs

These are fraudulent Windy Pads

These are fraudulent Windy pads, do not buy. I have been doing Martial arts for three years. I have bought plenty of gear and have been to Thailand and seen some of the first stores to sell Mauy Thai gear. I was skeptical when I first took them out of the box, they felt weird and the leather seemed fake. I took them to my gym and compared them to my other Windy products (I have a couple set of gloves that I bought in Thailand, and my other friend has Windy Pads) both so discrepancies. The differences; They have no registered trademark symbol which all Windy's have (the little r on top). They say "pro fight gear" instead of "quality fight gear" and they appear to be made of cheap fake leather. Not worth the price. I will be reporting them soon and I have started the return process.

I love Smaller Size which makes them much easier to maneuver. Also the buckles are more dependable than Velcro.

Not Leather

Not leather. I've used the Windy Thai pads in the gym for years. They are top notch and they are 100% leather construction. When I ordered these I received 100% vinyl, skintex, pleather or whatever you want to call them pads. There are plenty of vinyl pads out there in the $60 range that will do just fine. If you're dropping 100 plus they should be leather.
