simple + straightforward coffee
i did my research before buying this moka pot. i got it in red with the six cup variation. i've been using this moka pot for a little over a month now. this is not the type of coffee pot to serve a group of family/friends. i love the simplicity of this pot. going into this moka pot, i read the do's and donts to prevent any harm to this product, considering it sitting on a stove to brew coffee. i've always put the heat level for this moka pot at medium and it holds up really well. i only do a rinse when i wash the pot. it is easy to clean. so far, i used peet's and illy's ground coffee. my favorite is the illy's bold expresso ground. i will try lavazza's expresso ground when i get the chance. the flavor is nice and bold and the coffee gets really hot. i read that it is best to throw in already hot water into the pot to prevent a bitter taste from boiling from cold. this also helps you to stay more alert when the coffee is done and gives you short time to wait and turn down the heat to prevent any damage. i was told to be careful with the handle of the pot. as i hold onto the handle as i pour the coffee into my cup, i could feel a bit of a instabilty. my pot hasn't gotten damage yet and i know it has been a month, but i'm still impressed that the paint looks nice. overall, i would recommend this moka pot for those who want something simple, clean with no sacrifice in flavor. if anything, i've had the best tasting coffee out of this moka pot than any home coffee machines. 5/5

Makes a great cup of coffee
I consider myself a coffee connoisseur. I roast my own coffee beans with a Behmor home roaster, I have more coffee gadgets than my wife has shoes. I have experimented with French press, pour overs, espresso machines, and high quality drip coffee makers. I am totally sold on the Moka Pot. I bought the 9 cup Moka Pot just to try it out and it works great. I use a 2.5” paper filter (wet it and stick it underneath the top kettle). I can get about two 8oz cups of coffee from the 9 cup Moka Pot. Quality (fresh) coffee is the key and ground to medium fine grind. On my burr grinder I use #9 for espresso and #18 for drip so I set my grinder to around #13 for the Moka Pot. I truly love this coffee maker and I plan on upgrading in the near future. Good luck!

Terrific Coffee. DO NOT PUT IN DISHWASHER
Very happy with this. As mentioned do NOT put through dish washer unless you want to rapidly age its appearance. Goes from shiny to a dull grey. I actually prefer the ‘aged’ look as I use this camping as well as at home and it just ‘fits’ more with my complete lack of style. Works great, simple but ingenious. Use a tea towel or pot holder to remove and pour unless you are very careful or have small hands. Pot gets quite hot and boiling on the lower portion and … it is all metal except for the thin handle. Lastly, pour s-l-o-w-l-y like a snobby barista putting foam in your coffee. I have the smaller pot and I do not use this for espresso routinely. I fill the coffee part only a bit more than half way and the usual water. Stuff could peel paint (dark roast w chicory from Cafe DuMonde is my go to because I am classy like that). Makes using the white liquid of your choice almost a necessity but man do I look forward to it. Closest thing to over paying at some drive thru conglomerate you will find - except not burnt. Want to dissolve concrete? Pack the coffee part. Probably would yield three tiny sipping cups of a super dank espresso. Totally worth every penny.

Works very well, 6-Cup only does 9-10 oz., coffee holder hard to pull out
Overall, this is a very good value. Flavor is very good and strong. The cycle takes about 5 minutes on a gas stove at low setting. The black handle does a good job of not burning your hand (unlike some other espresso makers). BIG WARNING: I got the "6 Cup" model. This fills ONE standard coffee mug (about 9.5 ounces). Also, you need to WATCH the TIME -- if allowed to heat after filling the upper chamber, the coffee WILL bubble and overflow. The biggest negative is that on my unit it is quite difficult to remove the coffee grounds holder -- you need to slip a fingernail in there, it's hard to pry out. Good things -- this Espresso Maker works fast, flavor is very good and consistent. Just be aware that the "6-cup" model will serve two people MAX. For me it fills just one mug.

6 Cup model holds 8 oz of water.
Bought this to make 2 cups of Coffee in the morning while motorcycle or car camping. It only hold 8oz of water just below the relief valve as recommended. Washed it first and then it brewed a very good cup of coffee in 5 mins. It is small and will work out perfectly for my needs despite have to make 2 separate cups of coffee. I would recommend this product.

Works perfectly, good product, good value
This Primula Classic Stovetop Espresso and Coffee Maker is wonderful! Works perfectly and makes great coffee. I got the largest available model which makes 12 espresso shots which is 12 ounces of coffee at a time. Glad I did. Overall finish and quality is excellent. As other reviewers have stated, don't use the handle to tighten or unscrew the top part. It is plastic and might break. Also, make sure the burner flame does not extend beyond the bottom edges of the machine, or it might burn the handle. Will not work with induction electric stoves because it is made of aluminum. There are special steel ones for that. It's also just a very attractive gadget to have in the kitchen. Definitely recommended.

Lightweight and Good quality
This works very well and has been making very tasty espresso just about every day since receiving it. The frother wand is a nice little extra but doesn't seem very substantial so I bet it doesn't last long. The coffee maker on the other hand seems to have pretty good construction and works pretty well.

A good coffee maker!…Works great!
Better than I thought! Material is decent (better than I was expecting) and so far is working great. Handle is sturdy and I loved the size, big as I wanted. For the price, is a pretty good Italian coffee maker :)

Good Coffee Maker
Good sturdy quality aluminium and works well. Sent from the US and arrived much quicker than expected. Only slight niggle: none of the product pictures showed the Primula logo (which was one of the reasons for purchase as I didn't want a logo) but it is very discrete so no big issue.

Cheap looking and feel
Arrived in unsealed box. Had feel of aluminium and looked cheap. Scraping sound when unwinding bottom from top. Didn't seem good value for money.
