Edit 05-10-2022: I managed to get pretty good coffee out of this after watching a recent James Hoffman video on the moka pot. The key is low, even heat, which my induction hob is not good at (so James uses an adapter plate). I'm sure people pursued many interests while staying away from a contagious pandemic. My interests were games and coffee. I have an Aeropress which serves great coffee consistently, but I wanted to see if I could make authentic lattes at home. I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on an espresso machine that would take up way too much counter space or force me to pay Nestlé for overpriced pods. I was told that the next best thing is a moka pot, so I looked for something that I could heat up on an induction hotplate. Enter this product. Now, YouTube videos by champion baristas would have you know that the process is simple: add water to the lower chamber, add ground coffee to the basket, assemble, heat up until delicious coffee comes gushing out. Well, I got everything but the delicious part, so I think it's harder than the thin little instruction booklet and the few YouTube videos I watched let on. I don't think it's a flaw in the pot's design or construction, I think this method is more sensitive to the freshness of the beans, the grind size, and the cleanliness of the pot than I initially realized. I'll definitely need more practice until I nail down something that isn't either a bitter soup or a coffee that makes stale Folger's seem sweet. The pot itself is solidly constructed, but the handle is feeling a tiny bit jiggly. I learned just the other day that you're not supposed to hold the handle as you tighten the halves together. Oops. You're not supposed to use detergents when you clean this, and cleaning the gasket every time is a really good idea. The aforementioned barista suggested espresso machine cleaner, which sounds like a good idea (or was that for cloth filters?). I'll try it anyway. Other than that, the pot appears to do what it's supposed to, so I'm sure I'll be able to get delicious coffee out of it one of these days.

Great for what it is
Ok, so I e been using stovetop espresso makers since I was in college. I have churned through 2-3 of them. The last one I bought was a bust because it made terrible espresso. This one however is excellent! It was quite a process to choose the right one this time as I’ve decided not to purchase another aluminum one (which is the traditional kind). But the last stainless steel one made horrible espresso. So I was thrilled when the coffee turned out perfectly. Now the bottom half is looking a bit burnt/tarnished, but it doesn’t bother me. I actually kind of like the look this one, especially paired with the copper Orange upper half. It is a 5-star for me!

Nice percolator
Compared to another moka maker, the quality on this is not as great. The lid and steel edges have not been rounded, so it feels sharp to the touch. The steam would come out from the bottom screw area unless it's very tightly screwed on. I have to crank the temperature to 185 degrees for this percolator to work whereas the other requires 140. This may be due to the size difference.

Works well
Well manufactured espresso pot. My only regret is not getting the next size up. It looks great and works well.

Really good pot but it's 4 cups not 3
I specifically wanted a 3 cup pot. The first time I made a cup (after the first toss away pots full) I noticed the coffee came up much farther in the cup than my other 3 cup pot. I filled the base again and poured the water into my 4 cup pot and it came exactly to the safety valve. Then I did some research on sizes and amounts. Some sources vary, but generally a "cup" in this type of pot is considered to be 2 ounces, so a 3 cup is 6 oz or 3/4 cup. The literature says the pot holds 240 ml, which is a cup, or 8 oz, so in fact a 4 cup. The coffee is great and it's easy to use so no complaints there and it's nice having two 4 cup ones as that's the size I use the most (also have 2 6 cup ones). But I had looked a long time for a steel 3 cup to replace an aluminum I don't love using. I realized a while back the smaller the pot the better the coffee. Also sometimes I just want a small amount, so I really wanted the 3 cup. I also found out accidentally by slowing down a pot while I did something else that the slower you brew, the better the coffee. That said, sometimes you need to make it fast. This pot has a larger circumference, so I can turn the gas burner up higher without having to worry about melting the handle. I turned it up to max to make the 2 throw-away initial pots and was stunned at how fast it made a pot -- about a minute and a half. My other, smaller around but taller 4 cup takes 3-1/2-4 at the highest I can have the burner. Both take about 13 if I turn the burner low.

Low cost, easy, and tasty esspesso! EASY WIN
UPDATE: 1 month in service. Working great. I love how easy and fast this is to use and clean. I use it on my induction stove and it is VERY fast to get very strong, high quality espresso. I love how simple it is to use and clean. No moving parts, no electronics to break, nothing fancy and NO extra filters or items to buy. Some folks noticed a metallic taste - But I have not at all. I did run two test runs without coffee to clear out any manufacturing solvents. Seriously easy to use and makes good coffee.

Hmmm, The taste, durability and descoloration is lacking !!!
1 Month of use, this is a supposedly a stainless steel coffee maker, it does not suppose to look like this after 1 month of use, you can see the burn/descoloration to start going up from the sides. I do have a beatiful kitchen and I love that everything I show on it need to be beatiful, this was the reason of buying this coffee maker, because it is beatiful but now I have to take it away and maybe replace it for something "more durable" and heat resistant. I did noticed when new, some scratches out of the ordinary in the bottom, so maybe this was a flux on manufactured, I dont know, but i have other stainless steel products that i heat and does not discolored like this. My stove is a regular electric flat stove, nothing special or different than others. The taste also is different now, same coffee brand, same milk, also noticed descoloration inside. NOTE: I only clean the coffee maker with water and a handy wipe.

Beats all other coffee makers
Superb coffee maker. Partners the mobile small halogen hob perfectly for quick and easy fast hot beverages. Less expensive to run than other means of drink making, so simple to use and effortless to clean. My coffee machine now stands idle as this ???? product makes good, strong coffee every time.
