Work great.
I got these to replace the plastic ones that deteriorated in the sun. They are easy to put on (once you figure it out) and will last forever.

a must for high altitude!
I live in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Rarified air and all that stuff. That means that UV does a number on anything it reaches. Outdoor furniture degrades quicker than you would ever imagine. So, window screens, being on the outside of our UV-filtering windows, get hammered. So far (5 years) the screen itself hasn't degraded, but every black pull tab on our screens has turned hard and then cracked when you try to use it. I tried the hack of using duck tape, but that only resulted in UV damaged duck tape sticking to the screen frames (that took about one season, I think). I was resigning myself to having to change out the tabs every other year, and then found these. They are about twice as wide as the black pull tabs my screens came with. Not a big deal, as they are also metallic, so don't show as much as the black. Putting them in and out was tricky, but not because of the product. On one screen, the spline had disintegrated under the UV, and so tore every time I tried to pull it out. On almost all of them, the screen material was adhering to the frame. You have to lift the screen material fully out of the track to place the tab under it, so that was a little dicey, trying to avoid tearing the screen. But those are UV problems, not this product's problems. They come in a pack of 25. Why? Dunno. All my windows use 2 pulls each... However, 25 wasn't enough to do all my windows, so I'll be buying another pack to finish the rest. That'll give me an even number, lol! I can't imagine that UV will be able to damage this metal. My only quasi-concern is that they might get hot in the direct sun, so I'll have to be careful if I try to take them out on a sunny day. That's probably not going to be an issue, though. UV can s u c k it. Tools needed: small slotted screwdriver for prying out the spline and the old tabs, a screen mouse (or similar) for replacing the spline once you have the new tab in place, scissors to cut the spline, as even if you reuse the old spline, it will stretch when you replace it, and replacement spline (on hand just in case the old breaks. If you don't know the size of spline you need, cut a sample off one of your windows before you go to the store; the size differences are very subtle, and you can't tell just by looking. You have to compare to what you have.).

Information is Lacking and Quality Control Is Dismal!
These clips work when they aren't damaged -- but several of the ones I received were damaged, even though they were delivered in a nice container! First, there is some confusion expressed in the various reviews about how these clips are to be used. I had trouble figuring it out, too. The fact is that they can function fine as screen lift clips -- it is just that the finger edge of the clip has to be accessed from the opposite side of the screen from where the clip is mounted. In other words, the "tail" of the clip is inserted into the spline channel BEFORE the screen and the spline go in. Thus, the finger edge of the clip ends up on the opposite side of the screen frame from the spline channel. The spline channel then faces toward the outside of the window if you want the clip to be on the inside. See the photo of one of my screen assembled with these clips, taken from the inside. Maybe another way of explanation will make it clearer. These clips are basically rectangular "C" shapes, with a tail extension existing on one short side of the "C". That short side of the C goes up against one side of the spline channel, with the "tail" sitting on the bottom of the spline channel. The contact between the side of the C and the side of the spline channel allows pulling force to be applied to the frame of the screen. The "tail" acts to hold the clip into the channel, when the spline is inserted over it. Thus, it is the dimension of the "tail" on the clip that is critical to whether the clip will fit a given screen, and that dimension is not provided in the drawing of the clip included with the listing. It turns out that that dimension on these clips is about 1/8 inch; slightly larger than my screen could accommodate. My screens have a "serrated" spline channel, so it is difficult to define the width of the channel. What I can say is that a 1/8 inch drill bit will NOT go into the channel, but a 7/64 drill bit WILL go into the channel. Thus I had to file the tail width a little bit to get these clips to work. Not exactly pleased with that, but I am pleased that I could find an alternative to plastic lifting clips for my screens. But as I said, and as you can see in one of the photos, the quality control of these parts is dismal. Five of the clips turned out to be damaged beyond usability, in my opinion. Normally, I would remove more than 2 stars for such poor quality, but given that these parts are so superior to the more common plastic clips, I was very glad to find them, and give 3 stars.

Easy to install and durable
I was replacing all of the screens in our house because they are about 18 years old. On half of the screens the little plastic tabs were broken off. When I looked for more tabs online I found these. They make removing the screens much easier because they don't flex or break like the plastic ones.

SO much better than plastic tabs...
Over the years, almost all of the pull tabs on my 14 window screens became brittle and broke when I tried to pull the screen back into the track after removing it for window washing. If you've ever tried to reinstall a window screen without pull tabs, you know how difficult that can be. When I saw these aluminum tabs on Amazon, I immediately ordered them. I'm in the process of installing them on all my window screens after watching a couple helpful tutorials on the internet. Once you understand how the tab is inserted in the channel under the spline and screen, it's an easy job. These tabs are substantial and should last forever. They won't be degraded by sunlight or freezing weather, nor will they rust. The price for 25 of them is very reasonable. Do yourself a favor and buy window screen pull tabs made of aluminum rather than plastic.

Great product, varying quality
The ones that came proper shape work great but definitely some quality control issues here. They sent 26 (24 in my photo) and 6 were completely f*****. Great replacements, good thing theres lots in the box, bank on an extra box if you have lots of windows to do.

1/3 are crooked and not usable
There were 26 of them….8 were crooked and not usable. Thumb down for the quality control.
