Worked well
Fit our standard aluminum storm door, and it’s not coming out of the hinge slots anymore. I’m very satisfied! I listened to some of the other reviewers and was careful not to pry on these to much, they are made of plastic.

Quality Product
This review is for the hinge pins for a storm door; I found these hinge pins to be of high quality. If you have a Larson brand storm door that has a broken hinge pin, this repair kit is ideal. You will need to remove the screws that mount the door to the frame. The diameter of the pins is a tad bigger than the opening at each end of the hinge. I used a 13/64" drill bit to make the hinge openings a little bigger. You also need to use a large flat screwdriver to open the little tangs to remove the old hinge pin. To repair the hinge, you will need two items from the package. The instructions on the back of the package are useless for the Larson doors. You will need two identical parts from the package that have the pin attached. Place the pins into each end of the hinge and slide the hinge through the access hole. Use the large flat screwdriver to bend the tangs back into place. Mash the tangs flat with a large Channel lock pliers. Reinstall the screws for the door mounting.

They worked out for Me!
I used these on an 20 year old Larson storm door that the wind had ripped off the hinges (broke the plastic hinge pins). These were not an exact fit so I had to turn down the diameters by chucking them into my cordless drill and running them against a block of sandpaper. But in the end it all worked out great. Door is back on, works great, and I saved a bunch of money by not having to buy a new door.

Need to buy two for most storm doors
Needs at least 10 pieces for most storm doors, therefore you need to buy 2

Easy to replace saved me $$$$$$$
This week the hinges broke on my 35 year old storm door. It is a custom size for a 1920 Bungalow rear door 32"x 76". Larson wanted nearly $300 for a replacement and I was able to repair it for under $10 including some new weather striping. I unscrewed the hinge side of the frame from the house and placed door on the kitchen table. When I folded the frame all the way open there was the little tangs that hold the pins in the frame. I bent them up with a screwdriver and then unscrewed and removed the hinges from the door. The part with the pin fits in the hinge (I used a small deep well socket over the pin to drive it in) and then the part with the hole slips on to it. The assembled hinge then goes back in the frame and I used a punch to knock the tangs back down to lock it together. I spent about an hour on the repair.

storm door hinge pin
Easy to install if you remove together the door and vertical frame to which the hinge is attached. Remove the hinge with the broken plastic pins. Tap out the pins from the hinge with a small screwdriver or punch. Push or gently hammer the assembled pins into the hinge. On the back side of the frame, use a needle nose pliers pry the channel open just enough into which the hinge pins would sit. Once hinge is set, use the pliers or a punch to crimp the channel back to hold the pins in place. Position the door (with frame attached) in the doorway. Using the old holes, screw in the front frame first. Consider using a wider/longer screw for a better hold. Then open the door and screw in the side of the frame into the doorway. Great price and saved a neighbor from buying a whole new storm door.

Once I figured out that you just press them into the groove it was easy ( I used a small c-clamp)
These were just what I needed but the package only contains 4 pins. The description says "pack of 6" which is exactly what my door needed (3 hinges 2 pins per hinge). Amazon did send another pack but be aware. Also the directions are not very helpful. ( "Remove old pins and replace with new" ). Once I figured out that you just press them into the groove it was easy ( I used a small c-clamp). It is a good product and saved my storm door.

Only got 5
Worked like a charm. Fixed the screen door at the house i just bought. Thankfully 1 hinge was still good because I only revived enough for 2 hinges because the package only had 5
