Smooth
Did my homework before purchasing these rollers, called Pella to make sure that I ordered the correct part. They worked perfect. They fit snug like they are suppose to. The original Rollers have tabs so the fit flush at the bottom of the door and the replacements do not so I was concerned that they would go to far into the door and not adjust correctly but they work as described so make sure you tap them in so they seat properly. Not only does the door roll smother but the door closes and latches nicer. I did also clean the roller track with steelwool to clean and smooth it out. The down side is the dam door is heavy.

Good, but check
First off, these rollers fixed my issue 100%. So, to solve a real headache for a modest cost was well worth it. I'd give them 5 stars, except one of the rollers had a defect on the end of the screw which didn't allow it to fully contract. Forced me to use the "better" one of the preexisting rollers. Here's a little more information, in case it helps: My sliding door is a glass Pella, probably from the '90's. The thing is heavy but not overly so (70-80lbs ?). The bottom of my door had mild rot; since I had the door off, I stabilized the wood with a wood repair kit. I didn't have to take anything off the door to remove it from the frame--- just lift as high as possible and pull out. May have worked since my rollers (preexisting) were not expanded much. Needle-nose pliers and a screwdriver that could fit behind the roller, in the assembly, were key in getting the old rollers out. Screwdriver got things started while the pliers did the rest (the other side slid out smoothly, though that could have been rot-related). Overall, it was a terrific upgrade to a door that seemed on its last legs. I'd highly recommend these rollers, though I'd look at the screw in the housing to confirm that the thread is intact all the way to avoid having to repeat the repair another day.

Door rolls sooooo smooth now
Been putting this repair off for some time now, but finally ordered the parts and held my breath they fit. I was worried the old ones would be difficult to remove, but after spraying a little silicone spray around them first they came out with little effort using visegrips. Measured the distance the pulley protruded from the edge of the door first, then set the new one to that measurement. Be sure to “seat” the pulley assembly fully into the door. Leveling it was simple with the adjusting screws. The hardest part really was lifting the door off and back on the tracks it is so HEAVY.

Not quite OEM
Fits Pella but doesn’t have the flaps to stop depth. Worked well once I modified the door to prevent the cartridge from sinking into the door. OEM cartridge has flaps that prevent the roller from going into the door too deep and this part does not. Be ready to rig your door

Close, but different assembly than original Pella Rollers means less roller retraction
Installation and dimensions are the same, but there is one key difference that makes putting the door back on the track problematic. Both versions have the adjustment screw to raise and lower the rollers. The rollers need to be raised to get the clearance to both install and remove the door, and then lowered when installed to raise the door above the track for operation. The adjustment screw moves a square nut inside the assembly, which changes the angle of the roller bracket and raises/lowers the rollers. In the Pella version, the nut is in front of the assembly, and in this version it is behind. Being behind, you cant retract the rollers as much due to the width of the square nut being behind the assembly. If your door has the clearance to be reinstalled you should be fine, but in my case the tolerance is too tight and I cant get the door back on since the rollers won't fully retract. Identical parts to Pella but the arrangement is different. Unfortunately there is some kind of glue at the end of the adjustment screw threads which I assume was to keep someone from removing it by unscrewing too much. It will take some time, buy I am going to try and remove the glue, disassemble and then reassemble in the order of the Pella version. In the Pella setup, no glue is necessary since the square nut could not be overloosened as it would be sandwiched between the assembly.

Good value
Had to modify to fit

Bearing axis pin is easy to slip out from the hole
To mount this roller, make sure it insert into place very tight. Otherwise, the weight of the door may cause the bearing axis may slip out from its frame.

Pella Sliding Door Roller Assembly
Perfect replacement for the existing 25+ yrs old rollers that were clearly on their way out. Door rolls very smoothly. Can literally open/close using 1 finger. Thanks!!!!

Pry out the old roller assembly press in the new!
I used vice grips to grasp the roller & pried against the vice grip jaws to retract the roller assembly part way then tapped against the pry bar to complete the removal of the assembly. When installing the new assembly make sure the adjusting screw is not protruding when you try to insert it in the door bottom or it will catch on the cavity in the door bottom. You can adjust the roller height AFTER it has been fully inserted into the door cavity.

Very happy with the item
Very happy with the item, i would give 5 star however I was a bit disappointed with the shipping options. It offered me next day to 2 day maximum shipping at an additional cost which I chose to do as our door wouldn't shut and it was cold. The item did not come for 8 days which was the standard shipping. So I was a little disappointed with that cause I was charged the extra shipping. Otherwise the item is great and the door shuts again.
