Simple handle, Kwikset-style cylinder/key

This is a simple handle--you can see that from the picture. I chose this because the handles delivered with our door do not allow the door to open fully--the handle bumps the stationary glass frame, so the opening ends up being 2-3 inches narrower than it could be. This thin handle allows the door to open fully. The 8-32 threaded countersunk machine screws from the existing door handle were too short to catch on this handle, so I needed to get longer screws. It's a common screw that's easily found at the hardware store; length for you may vary based on the thickness of your door. My handle came with a Kwikset-style cylinder and key, though the product description doesn't specify. Prime-Line makes handles with both Kwikset/Weiser and Schlage cylinders, so if you want your door keyed like other locks in your home, be sure to get the same style. Replacement cylinders are also sold, so you can change if you get the wrong one.

Quality not great, but it worked

This handle was very hard to find - not in any stores. The folks at PrimeLine went over and above to help me identify the right handle for my door. However, it was challenging to install, the screws didn't seem to be the right length and the keys are a bit sticky. We had to do several adjustments and workarounds, but it's working.

Good handle lock does not work

I ordered the correct model but it seems that there is an extra part needed to actually operate inside lock of my door. I might be able to make it work but it would have been nice to know this in advance. The ley is extremely hard to turn.

3 15/16 screw holes aren’t centered

The UNIVERSAL replacement handle has several screw hole spacing for different handles. But inexplicably, the screw holes for the most common spacing (3 15/16”) are offset about 1/8” right of center. Every other set of holes is centered except the 3 15/16”. Since they aren’t aligned with the key cylinder this UNIVERSAL handle replacement will not align with 3 15/16” interior handles and mortise locks that have screw holes centered with lock; and as far as I can tell that is every one sold, including by this manufacturer.

On a du le mettre a deux - vis fournis inutile ...

Premièrement la mise en place est assez complexe, nous avons du etre deux et y reprendre a plusieur fois. Autre point les vis fournis ne sont pas assez longue !! alors que la barrette ajustable a été couper au minimum donc je ne voie pas a quoi elle peuvent bien servire ... Une fois installé sinon tout fonctionne très bien rien a redire

Good product

This product will accommodate multiple door patterns fairly easily. I had tried four other types of locks for my door and this was the only one that fit and worked.

Screw holes not aligned to existing handle

Will not recommend..the screw location does not align to the patio handle that I had and mine is pretty universal slide glass patio door handle that is installed in most of our houses.
