Faulty intake valve makes this unusable

I bought this bulb to replace the stiff, cracked bulb on my manual BP cuff. The new bulb arrived in a timely manner and the rubber appeared new and flexible. It fit the tubing of my old cuff perfectly. I was delighted to have resuscitated my BP cuff for only $4.50. However, upon using it for the first time I found that there was a leak in my cuff and the device lost pressure too fast to get any kind of accurate reading. Since this was a new bulb, I assumed that the leak was from the old bladder. However, listening to the bulb with the cuff inflated revealed a slight hiss coming from the ball valve at the end of the bulb. Placing a finger over the valve with the cuff inflated eliminated the hiss and revealed the leak to be the bulb's valve. This was quite a disappointment and this device is being returned to Amazon. 8/7/2020 Update. I notified Amazon of the defective bulb and they promptly shipped me a replacement which does not leak and works as it should. Review score updated to 4/5 stars (one star knocked off for the original defective bulb).

Fit my air shim set up as a replacement bulb.

As a replacement bulb to my original air shim unit, I can say it hasn't failed yet. Being new, it installed perfectly and I tested it immediately with no issues...

Amazing!

This is without a doubt the best medical inflation bulb I have ever purchased. I take it with me everywhere; even in the shower. When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is give it a good squeeze for luck. I have come to form a telepathic bond with this bulb, and we converse throughout the day; mostly about politics. Sometimes the conversations get pretty heated, because I voted for Trump and my bulb voted for Biden...twice...atleast. I feel as though the other 40+ bulbs in my collection are jealous, but as I do not have a telepathic bond with them, I can't be certain. I would have easily paid $500 for this bulb, so I feel like I got a super deal; even more so now that I have gotten to be best friends (basically family) with it.

MUCH less expensive than buying an entire "whatever" that needs this... for me, it was for an air-jack for opening vehicle doors when people lock their keys inside.

I was able to resurrect a non working old blood pressure machine. Works well and the old one is much easier on batteries as they are not used for the inflation of the cuff.
