Affordable solution to a dilemma

My husband had built an 11x14 foot viewing platform towards the bottom of our property. The county, however, objected to the location of the platform since was too close to the edge of the bluff (we live in a nature preserve). How do you move a heavy, wooden platform 200-feet, up a slight slope to the top of your yard? The answer was these wheels. We elevated each end of the platform, bolted on the wheels, and easily pulled the platform--on lumpy, damp, grass--with a truck. The wheels performed flawlessly. The metal didn't bend. The wheels continued to turn (even though they were caked with mud). They're definitely heavy-duty, easy to bolt on, and the rubber of the wheels is high-quality. And you can't beat the price!

These are solid tires no air needed love them easy to install and very tough

First shipment was lost in delivery but Amazon quickly had another set delivered very happy with the product and quality.

Great Wheels!....but they Stink!

The GOOD: So when you get these casters, the first thing you'll notice is that they are really heavy. Awesome solid tires! Incredibly beefy and heavy duty! The BAD: The second thing you'll notice is that they have a horrible rubber/chemical stench to them! There are just some specific rubber products that have this smell. If these are kept outside, I'm sure they will be fine, BUT if they are kept in an enclosed space like a garage, you'll most likely smell them every time you open the door. I'm hoping the smell wears off in a few months...Although I'm afraid it may take much longer. If this concerns you, polyurethane is a safer option, but obviously you'll miss out on the rugged tread. Knocking off 1 star because I nearly passed out when I opened the box and inhaled all those fumes. Otherwise, great casters! "POWERTEC 17051V Swivel Heavy Duty Industrial Caster, 8-Inch."
