Ok for cheap pruner
I know I gave 4 stars, but this pruner has taken doesn’t one inch limbs..I had it for the Summer..still works well. I only gave it 4 stars because I’d like a high end pruner. This rocks on a budget though..

They seem like they will be a good set.
Update: 3-22-13. I used these all last summer and a little so far this year. I like them a lot. I don't see why I would need to buy a new pair any time soon, but would if the need arose. A great pair of shears! I bought these here on Amazon in December. Being winter in the northern hemisphere, I have all of my roses cut back and have not had occasion to use them much yet. I ordered them based on reviews here and elsewhere by "North Coast Gardening" and the commentary generated by the reviews. I have a rose garden of about 40 bushes and thought it worth the cost to have a pair of pruners that I enjoy using. Previously, I was using the Fiskars that the PO left in the garage. They were okay, but I wanted to upgrade b/c of the heavy use they will see and for my personal enjoyment. I bought some "Corona" pruners at Home Depot, but returned them after handling them and seeking info from online reviews. I think that they make some good tools, and kept the hedge shears. I may buy a pair of Corona loppers one day. But, as far as hand pruners go, I wanted something better than what they were offering (I did see some later at Fred Meyer that weren't in stock previously that I might consider as back ups, or for my wife. BP 3640) I like the angled cutting head. The head is angled both down and inward. This is supposed to be easier on your wrists and I think it will be. I like that everything is replaceable and I like the weight. I haven't used Felco's but, have handled them. I like the lighter weight of the Bahco's, and the angled head. Also, I wonder if the type of spring used on the Felco's would get gummed up with sap from heavy use. But, I haven't used them. I'll update this review in the spring after I have put them through their paces. FWIW, I am 6'2" and have medium sized hands for my height, though still on the larger side. I think that the medium sized PX-M2 should work fine for me considering the way that you hold this type of tool.

These pruning shears are tough, sharp, and easy to use.
I love these pruners as they are sharp, great quality, a very good weight. So happy also with quick delivery. Thank you

Still prefer my Felco pruners
I've used my Felco F2 since I got tired of cheap Coronas going bad after 20-30 hours of use. Used it for two years now and was debating whether to replace parts when I saw a review on the Bahco PX-M2. It sounded great and wasn't any more expensive. I was prepared to fall in love with them, but it just hasn't happened. The Bahco pruner is definitely extremely sharp which does help it cut with less resistance and the handle has a nice smooth motion. I haven't been able to detect any advantage from the different angle of the jaws, though. I still feel about the same strain on my wrist and impact when the cut is finished as I did with my Felco. Yesterday I decided to put them head-to-head. I worked with each for about 30 minutes at a time, trying to settle into a comfortable use for each. After three hours, my feeling was that my Felcos would be better than Bahcos if I replaced the spring, sharpened the blade, adjusted the gap, and cleaned them again. Even worn as they were, the Felcos were better at going through branches over about 1/4" diameter and more comfortable for my hands. The lock release is also a LOT easier to use one-handed. Its possible that I would have liked the Bahcos better if I had purchased them before the Felcos, but right now I'm planning to give them away to some poor sap who is still using the cheap stuff you can buy at Fred Meyer or Lowe's.

Good, but not quite what I imagined
The pruners are fine as far as they go...They cut well, and the ergonimic shape is fine. That said, I was rather disappointed that the blade and the anvil started to oxidize (darken) immediately after their first use. It's a kind of dark stain that seems to embed itself in the steel and is hard (impossible?) to remove. By way of comparison, I've had Sears anvil pruners that were made in China that did not behave like this. Maybe over time, yes, but not right away. Also, I found the hard plastic handles a tad on the cheap side compared to other mid-upper level pruners with more cushioning. So overall, after lots of on-line research comparing reviews of Bahcos, Felcos, Coronas, ARS HP-VS8Z etc., I was a little let down by the overall quality of this product. Update September 4, 2016 It's been more than a year since I bought these pruners. Yes, they are comfortable in the hand, and I appreciate that the high-carbon steel blade and anvil provide advantages in terms of sharpness. What I find annoying and disappointing is that plant juice quickly starts to stick to this type of steel as you prune, and the pruner starts to stick -- that is, you have to give it a push to open the blade for the next cut. And as you work, you can feel the blade passing over the accumulated plant gum. I easily see the need to clean up and oil these pruners after a session. But having to do that during a pruning session is, in my opinion, asking too much. I just want to prune, without having to baby the pruners as I work. I'd easily trade a little less carbon in the steel (if that's the solution) for more ease of use. As-is, definitely would not buy again.

Highly recommended but make sure you buy the right size
Just bought a second set for my father. Best Secateurs I've ever used -better than the Felco's I've borrowed. Fully customisable in terms of size but these (PX-M2) seem best for normal sized male hands in a garden. Smaller hands might get on better with the smaller handles. You can get a catalogue from the Bahco website that includes a size guide. I use a Felco stone to keep them sharp and oil them when I remember (less than once a month) and they work fine. The leather holster Bahco make works well with these and can clip onto a belt or thread through. Overall my best gardening purchase after breaking a cheap pair every six months to a year.

Best secateurs in the world
I'm a professional gardener and I always buy these, they are the best you will get ever. They cut beautifully and come very sharp, I continually sharpen them to keep them extremely sharp and one pair lasts about 2 and a ½ years and then the blades won't meet as I've filed it all away. Forget Felco, they aren't professional, these are and you will love them, I've just bought another 2 pairs, you won't be disappointed. They also come in small medium and large. Hope that's helpful

Good secateurs, but poorly attached spring
These were bought to replace a 15 year old pair of the same model whose spring flew off - never found. After 2 sessions of use, the spring flew off of the new ones! Luckily quickly found and replaced. This seems to be a weak point in this model, so do be careful using them. Replacement springs are available from Amazon, but should not be necessary. Otherwise, these secateurs cut well and fit my hand.

Tough and reliable secateurs.
Professional gardener so I use secateurs every working day. Delighted with these so far. Comfortable, reliable and very good cutting blade. Have used Felco in the past, but so far these have not let me down. Recommended.

Best secateurs you can get
These are excellent secateurs, all parts are removable and replaceable. The angled blades makes the work far less tiring for the tendons. I wouldn't buy any other type now
