Just what I was looking for, but do your homework...
This rack met all of my requirements for a rack I wanted for an old steel framed Schwinn road bike I've been working on, but it won't fit all bikes. The rack is advertised as not being compatible with all 700c sized bikes and that's probably true as depending on your frame design, the mounting positions may not work for you. My frame was designed for old 27" inch sized wheels but I am running 700 x 32mm tires in the rear and the rack fit perfectly but with the need for a little bending and manipulation of the tab and brake bolt mounting plate. Be warned that no installation instructions are included, but installation is pretty simple and self explanatory and the necessary hardware is included. This rack mounts to the brake bolt at the brake bridge for caliper brakes. If you have cantilever brakes you will need to get yourself a nut and bolt to go through the brake bridge to secure the mounting plate. But with traditional nutted (not the modern recessed) rear brakes I was able to mount the rack to the back of the brake bolt so you don't even have to worry about disturbing your brake alignment. My only complaint would be the the choice of hardware included for mounting at the dropout rack mounts... they provide flatheaded bolts and nuts, but most rack mounts are threaded to accept a rather common hexbolt and the bolts included don't match this threading. They are sized a bit smaller so they fit straight through the hole so you must to use the nut on the inside of the dropouts to secure the rack. This makes mounting a little more difficult than necessary and requires two tools (flathead screwdriver and 9mm wrench) rather than just one allen wrench. So I could see this presenting a problem while on the road if you needed to make any adjustments or repairs or if a nut where to loosen up and fall off. I simply upgraded some hardware with M5 metric bolts to properly fit the frame's braze on threads at the rear drop-out. However, my frame's an old 12speed with not-so-modern 126mm rear hub spacing and I also needed to use some washers/spacers on the outside of the drive-side mount to keep the slightly too long bolts from hitting the chain and the smallest and outermost gear on the freewheel (this was also an issue when mounting with the stock hardware as the nut also had tight clearance on the inside between dropout and chain!) Otherwise the rack looks great and appears to be nice and sturdy and fits my bike well. I really like the addition of the wooden platform but this nearly triples the price of the rack when compared to the Wald 215 without wood. But I got this rack to fit a particular gear bag that I mainly use on another bike equipped with a "Payload Rack" from Portland Design Works, which is a little similar (with a wooden platform) but more costly and mounts to frames with the seatstay barrel type rack mounts.

Great item for vintage Bike
I wanted a rack for my vintage bike. You can get racks much cheaper than this one, but this one was definitely worth the extra money. It is sturdy and solid and It just looks awesome on my vintage bike. When I first opened it up it looked really small, but after installing it on the bike it is perfect size. It did come with the brackets to install it and installation was a little tricky but I like working on my bikes so it was not a big deal for me but it is something to consider if you are not handy. overall this is a great rack especially if you are after the vintage look like I was. It is not a cheap rack, but the extra money is worth the enjoyment and the cool look this added to my vintage bike! I also bought a vintage looking canvas cooler truck back and it fits on this rack perfectly!

Without those two things the bolts would fit just fine but now I have to buy new bolts etc
The screws wont fit onto my bike, they are too short. Makes no sense, the threads for the nuts don't go to the far edge of the nut and there is a washer that can't be taken off. Without those two things the bolts would fit just fine but now I have to buy new bolts etc. Very bad design for the accessory pieces. Otherwise the rack itself is awesome, love it! Looks great, simple and clean. Also, some reviews said that it did not come with a connector to join the rack to the back break mount so I bought an extra one. This was not true! it DOES come with the piece, I wasted $8 ... but my fault

Great for me
This rack fits really nice with my Schwinn World Traveler ('72) and I think the burnt logo looks good. It was very easy to install even though there were no instructions. It is designed to attach to the brake bridge with the brake bolt (on the back side toward the seat tube so it won't interfere with the brake). It's not intended to be attached to the seat stays. All the hardware fit my bike perfectly. It's not very heavy duty but does a great job hauling groceries & beer.

Pretty But With its flaws
This bike rack is quite attractive and exactly fits the style I was going for but it has two major flaws: 1. It mounts to the break bolt and not the normal rack bolts. I had to make an extra bracket because my breaks didn't have the bolt in the correct location. 2. The wood is raised above the metal side bars which interferes with a number of side bags I tried to attache to this rack. I found ones that kind of work but they still don't fully lock in place as the wooden platform gets in the way of the locking clip.

Great Style
This bike rack fits my Schwinn Cruiser bike a little snug but I was able to get it attached and it looks great. I was a little disappointed that it did not come with any instructions. Instructions would have been helpful. I love the look of this rear bike rack. My bike is a little retro looking so it fits the style perfectly.

Billboard ?
Nice product though was not happy that the universal bracket cost extra. Actually not happy that a web address is burned into the wood rack. Really, the name on the rack should be sufficient for advertising. I'm riding a bike NOT a billboard. Hope the manufacturer is reading this and will send a replacement with no web address in plain site. Enjoy

Perfect for my vintage bike
Great addition to my vintage Murray! Well made. Easy install and came with the necessary bracket. Purchased from Bikesomewhere. They've gotten some bad reviews, but I had no issues.
