Poolmaster Brush

This pool brush is the only one that I've found works on our pool. Our pool is a custom curved kidney-like design with curved corners and a connecting, in-ground circular spa. The curved outer parts of this brush work great for all of those otherwise frustrating rounded nooks. The brush head is nice and long too, so it's great for brushing the bottom of the pool in long swoops. The one negative thing that I can say about this item is that it started shedding. Now, I find this understandable due to the fact that we do live in Florida, and this plastic-bristled brush was regularly used in chlorinated water, which will eventually eat away at any plastic. There were also times that we forgot to put it away in the garage, so it would sit in the sun outside. However I would like to point out that it was a good two years of this kind of neglect before it started shedding, but when it did, it did so with gusto. I do still recommend this brush though, and I am sure that this new one I just purchased will last longer as long as I remember to be nicer to it!

Great for the Price

I have an in ground pool and this has been a fine replacement for the brush I had for years. I keep this one out of the sun, in the garage because I don't think it would hold up to the weather outside. It is light weight but does what I need it to do. Plus light weight is great for me, I have some physical problems. Next I need to look for a light weight pole :) I recommend for the price. I figure even if I have to buy every few years it is worth it! UPDATE: I've had this brush for about 5 months now and it is still in great shape, looks new. Granted it does not get used daily probably only a few times a month. However, I had problems with my automatic pool cleaner and it was used a lot more in the past month and it is still in great shape. I haven't notice and bristles falling out. Now changing my 4 stars to 5 since I have used it more. Brush is great for normal home pool use!

Lasted two years

Started falling apart after two years of very light usage.

Lasted about 2.5 years

I bought this about 2 1/2 years ago, and for $10 it’s worth it. Now, however, every time I use it, bristles are continuously falling off. It is kept outside in the sun so I suppose it’s a natural progression of the plastic. All in all, I’d say it’s worth the money

As I suspected, it's a brush.

I've bought the more expensive aluminum backed brushes before and things are great until the bristles break off. I figure if the weak link is the bristles, why pay for an aluminum backing? The ABS brush is sturdy and all I'm doing is brushing the bottom and sides of a pool. How stiff does it need to be? This is just as pictured, blue with 5 rows of white bristles. Maybe in a year or two, I'll remember to come back and comment on how long these bristles last, but until then I'll just enjoy this brush at a good price.

Great brush, weak clip

This brush is lightweight, a cheery color, and highly effective on my pool's vinyl liner with its curved edges. It's been great for getting my pool back into summer swimming shape. But the white plastic clip supplied is too weak to hold this brush in a metal telescoping handle. I ended up replacing the clip with a #8-32x2 inch (#10 would probably also work) stainless steel bolt with nut, which did the trick but added to the cost.

Durable, an overall good pool brush.

After almost a full summer of use this is still in great shape. My old one was shedding all the little white bristles all over the place every time I'd use it. This has no sign of wear at all and I use it all the time. It fits perfectly with the extension pole I bought on here as well. It's easy to take off and put on in case you are using it along with the leaf net on the same pole.

Too soon to tell

It feels a little flimsy but we haven't had it long enough to know how it will hold up. Our main concern is the bristles breaking off so we'll see if this is better than the nylon ones. Feels about the same so not sure if it's actually polypropylene...
