Embossing Beginner

It does not matter if you are a beginner, as long as you use good products properly. These have videos on YouTube and on Amazon site and the outcome is stunningly amazing. I adore these color combinations.

May be ok for lines but not filling in larger areas.

So wanted to love this selection of embossing powders. But it didn't hold up. I had larger sized areas not just outline lines to emboss and all the ones I attempted to do that with just fell short. Two dark and too plastic coated looking after heating. Warpped the paper sometimes too. Didn't work for me in general would not recommend.

Lovely colors and very smoot

Beautiful colors but leaves fine residue that takes forever to try and clean!

The media could not be loaded. The colors are very pretty and useful though I had to get a separate true copper powder since the two browns here are actually peachy pink and very dark brown. On first application I was scared this was going to be like tinsel embossing powder that just looks like sparse glitter but it turned out OK after embossing. The biggest problem is a very fine coating of pigment sticks to the paper and doesn't knock off (even if paper properly prepped with an embossing buddy). It's so fine it takes a crazy amount of time with brushes and microbrushes to try and remove. I have ZERO time and ZERO wish to do this every time I use this product. It happens on slick papers, regular cardstock, everything. See pics

Super fun and vibrant

I live new art supplies and these do not disappoint. Just make sure you close the lids properly as they are snug!! These are great for mixed media!!

Lovely colours

They arrived on time and well-packaged, as described. They are very easy to use once the inner lid has been removed from the pot. The only issue I have is that the powder is so fine, it is hard to get all of the non-used powder back into the tub, as it clings to the paper. Other than that, very happy.

Awesome.

These are so beautiful. The colours are vibrant and excellent quality. I use 2 clear embossing stamp pads the recollections brand and versamark these work great with Both. I highly recommend and I will be ordering more. Thank you so much. I've seen some negative comments, For best results make sure your using a talc embossing bag to remove the static from your project, without this all embossing powder sticks to entire surface of the project, so that's not unique to any specific brand of embossing powders.

Nice powders

These seem like nice powders. They go on smoothly, and are easy to remove excess and stray powder. They melt nicely under the heat gun ending nice and shiny with good colour. The photo shows my practice go, and is done on glossy photo paper (as this is what my finished project will be on). The gaps are my own errors! Over all I'm pleased with the result, although they're a little on the pricey side.

Works ok – SMALLER containers than expected; not all colours as vibrant as expected

All 5 colours received in a plastic storage tube. While each container states it is ½ oz in volume, the containers are quite a bit smaller than other embossing powder containers with similar advertised volumes. The containers are smaller both in diameter and in height. I have uploaded some pictures with the containers next to a Ranger power (0.52 oz) and a Stampendous powder (0.5 oz) to show the difference. I've used each colour for embossing and they stick well enough. The picture shows a quick trial for the colour test. There was some powder around the stamps on the cardstock. However I did this very quickly and did not pre-wipe the cardstock nor did I wipe off the excess clear embossing ink from around the stamp. I also stamped and embossed all colours in close proximity to each other on the same cardstock so the trial was for a colour test alone. The colours are a mix. The Midnight Teal and the Tannenbaum Green Gold colours are quite nice. However, the Cleopatra's Copper is very light in colour and reminiscent of a light skin tone colour. The Terra Cotta Rust doesn't appear to have much two tone to it and was a little disappointing as it's not as vibrant as I'd hoped. The last colour, Midnight Copper, is quite dark and almost black. Overall, they'll be used but I'm not sure I would order these again. I was disappointed with the size of the containers and not all colours are as nice as expected.
