Upgraded
I up graded from 1.95 to a 2:35 in front and 2.10 to a 2:10. I have about 150 miles on them and hardly no wear yet, the little nippies are still on most of the tire. Also I upgraded from Continental Billy Goats to these Kenda small eight blocks and OMG what a difference. Smooth ride on pavement. Quite also! On loose gravel very gripping turns they grip nice, and on hard dirt the same results! I am glad I took my time and choose the best tire for the way I ride!! And these tires will be my go to’s definitely!!!

I ordered a 26X2.3 and recieved a 26x2.1 in a 26x2.3 package. Check your tires before mounting them.
Tire was not the size advertized.

Wow, love these over all the others I've tried
I was shocked with how well these perform. I've been mountain biking for 25 years now on many types of bikes and tires and these are definitely my new go-to tire. I kept passing on these thinking they looked funny and not what I needed but I couldn't forget all of the positive reviews not only on here but from professionals in the industry. I now see what they are talking about and this is a great all around tire for everything. (BTW, no tire does well in mud and you shouldn't be riding on muddy trails anyways as it tears them up bad. IF YOU RIDE IN MUD, I WANT TO SEE YOUR ASS OUT ON THE TRAIL WITH US NEXT TIME REBUILDING AND REPAIRING THEM!!) They roll fast are great over roots, on hard pack, loose gravel and rock gardens. You won't be disappointed.

Phenomenal Tire for Variety of Conditions!
The Kenda Small Block Eights came with my Cannondale SL3 which I purchased in August of 2011 and I have put on about 170 hrs (1,500 miles) on these tires. I purchased a replacement tire for the back, the front still has plenty of tread. Impressive durability! In addition the performance is exceptional in variety of conditions and surfaces. I primarily ride single track with some riding on hard packed gravel, dirt roads and asphalt and in all these conditions these tires inspire confidence. The tire is a great climber as well as provides confidence on technical descents and holds well to hard packed surfaces, dry roots, and large rocks. Another very impressive quality is speed, these Kendas are BLAZING FAST!!! I have been on the trails following friends on much more expensive bikes with better components (Shocks, Hubs) and literally once I get up to speed I watch them crank as roll behind them. Where these tires exhibit weakness is in sandy areas, loose gravel and mud where they feel very loose with little control. Pros: * Durability - (Dual Compound)(Hard center fro speed, soft outside for control) * SPEED!! - (These tires are fast!) * Control - (Inspire confidence on most surfaces - listed above) * Quiet Cons: * Not great on sandy areas, loose gravel and mud. For the conditions I ride in this tire is Outstanding and would definitely recommend!

Kenda small block eight tires
These are GREAT. I had Kenda Nevegal tires on the bike when I bought it, these are the same pattern tread, just smaller blocks, and lighter weight. Good traction for most conditions, and much less rolling resistance. I've used them in sand and hard packed singletrack and found them acceptable. Mud, not quite so good, but they work. I don't like to ride in mud. If I have to ride in mud, it's usually muddy roads. If you are riding in heavy, sticky clay mud..... get something more open. I run these with Stans tubless kits and low pressure and for the conditions I ride in, they work just fine. They are durable, and should wear a long time. I like them, and I will buy another set when I wear these out. The best use for these tires are the way most of us use our mountain bikes.... mostly on road with some off road and trail use. Good all round tire. Hard core mountain bikers and downhill riders would probably find better tires for their conditions, but for my conditions, I find these work great.

An excellent all purpose mountain bike tire
Low rolling resistance, good on wet or dry pavement and dry hardpack. Was looking for a tire for off road bike touring and these tires are very nice. The 2.35 width barely clears the rear frame and is added surface contact as opposed to a more narrow version of this same tire. Some reviews of this tire complain that it slides out on loose over hard pack conditions however this can be remedied to an extent with the 2.35 and running at a bit lower pressure than the maximum 50 psi. As a bike commuter and touring bike tire for a 26" mountain bike this could be the best all around tire I've used. This tire was on sale for just over $30 with free shipping so I feel very good about having gotten this tire.

Kenda got tos one right
These tires are for my gravel bike. Some riders are using larger diameter but I found these 35's to be nearly perfect for the dirt roads here in the southwest without sacrificing speed. The small knobs provide extra control without sacrificing rollablity. In a recent race I was nearing the winners downhill speed...uphill was a different matter that had little to do with the tires. These tires are tubeless compatability which saves a good deal of weight and gives the rider extra control and riding comfort, elaminating pinch flats. I also found them to be cut resistant as the roads I ride them on are covered in gravel sized to bigger rocks. I have even ridden them on some more technical type trails as well and they held up satisfactorally.

Decent
Faster on the concrete and tarmac than chunky Mountain bike tyres. Great if you mostly ride on the road and occasionally on the mountain as they grip quite well off road too!

Not for road or singletrack: could be a good gravel or CX tire, especially on race days.
Dang: 2 flats and now a shredded sidewall, in just a few hundred kilometers of action. Bummer. Was thrilled with the sale price here on Amazon, but now am disappointed. I felt that this was a really fast-rolling tire, and loved how lightweight it is. This tire is substantially lighter than comparable 700 x 35 (or even 700 x 30) tires. It has good traction, so long as you're not doing muddy singletrack, and gets up to speed really fast. So there's a lot to like here. I don't think you want this for touring, for commuting, or for single-track. The flat protection is inadequate for the asphalt. And the sidewalls just can't handle rocky singletrack. However, this tire could be an excellent choice for, say, a gravel grinder. If you're really just on doubletrack, fire roads, rail trails, dirt roads, etc., then this could be a really fast tire for you. I also think this could be a good tire for dry to semi-wet cyclocross conditions. I could see this as a race day choice in a gravel or cx event. But for me, it's the wrong tire, since I ride a lot of singletrack on my cyclocross bike. So I won't buy this tire again.

Decepcionado
