A FULL REVIEW, from CONS to HACKS - I give it 5 STAR!!
Oookay!! You ready?! I wish I had this review before buying this. I'm gonna give you everything I got to save you time, and money, and make yours last a long time. 1) – BUY IT: This is a GREAT PRODUCT. Solid and not janky at all. Legs are very study and strong. Grill is nice as well. 2) – NOT REAL CONS: I have only 2 cons, so let’s get them out of the way, and they aren't even real cons. -----A) - Wish the screen-lid was more of a tall bubble and not low laying. It would help to place larger fires in it. I believe you can buy other lids that will fit this that have that higher arch to them. -----B) I wish this had a hole in the bottom you could open and close to sweep ash into an ash-catcher. THAT would a Godsend. But these are not real cons. Just nit-picky stuff. 3) – 2000 DEGREE CAR PAINT HACK WORKS: I cannot testify to the paint or the rust resistance of this product. Every fire pit I came across, and I researched them for WEEKS before buying this one, all had reviews that said "rusts fast". All of them. So I continued to do my research and found out about Rust-Oleum 2000 Degree High Temp Spray Paint! Finishing Paint: https://www.amazon.com/Rust-Oleum-248903-Automotive-12-Ounce-Degree/dp/B0723HH684/ref=sr_1_2?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1530615280&sr=1-2&keywords=rustoleum%2B2000%2Bdegree&th=1 Primer Paint: https://www.amazon.com/Rust-Oleum-249340-Automotive-12-Ounce-Primer/dp/B003CT499O/ref=pd_bxgy_60_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B003CT499O&pd_rd_r=8451cd7a-7eaf-11e8-bf3d-090d28e95a86&pd_rd_w=MykOM&pd_rd_wg=l6MHr&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=3914568618330124508&pf_rd_r=NPEKQK6RFDZJZ8WJFHS4&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&psc=1&refRID=NPEKQK6RFDZJZ8WJFHS4 THIS HACK WORKS!!! And NO, I do not have any nasty odors coming off my pit. If you follow the instructions it will work like a champ and stay on. I used 1 coat of primer directly onto the pre-existing paint, did not sand it, (only whipped it off to make sure it was clean), and 1 coat of the finishing paint. It has done the trick. Only about 2 inches on the lid around the center handle has pealed, but the primer layer has stayed even on the pealed parts. Yes, I sprayed the lid too, I recommend you do the same as this is the part that seemed to rush first for people. *(Buy this Rust-Oleum paint from Amazon from the link above, no I get no kickback. lol, you will spend WAY too much money other places. And get the 6 can pack. Whatever you don’t use you can keep for touch ups later. Trust me, the 6 pack is the same amount as a few cans elsewhere. I made that mistake and am kicking myself for it now.) 4) – COVERING IT: I found this... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00S0NYTPQ/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_7?th=1 it is a very nice cover for it, heavy, waterproof, keeps the sun off it, and fits nicely. I got the 44 inch. It works, but I wish I would have gotten the 60 inch to cover everything. Compared to other covers this one was a great deal. Quality and price. It has air flaps on the side, water can't get in but it allows it to breathe so that moisture doesn't collect on the inside, which would lead to rust obviously. 5) – GET 26 INCH (MIN) TONGS, DON’T DO A POKER FOR THIS ONE: It’s a deep bucket, which I love and is one of the reasons I got it. But moving the wood around once the fire starts, really hard without one of these… https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P9RWYLC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 this one is a great price and has carried many logs into the fire without bending or breaking on me. Its light but strong enough to get the job done. Pokers will not do you well with this one. Get one of these tongs. 26 inches is just long enough. I would not go shorter, especially if you are like me and like a good size fire. 6) – BOTTOM IS HOT, LAYDOWN BRICKS: Laydown bricks if you put it on your patio like I did. Yes it sits high but it gets hot underneath it. I put red bricks under mine to keep my patio form getting too hot, and I'm glad I did. 7) – BUY IT, COAT IT, USE IT, YOU WILL ENJOY IT! ???? **** LATER ADDED NOTE: I use this pit literally every night. I place good size fires in it and have had it a for about month now. No rust on any part of it. The only part that pealed with the 2000 degree Rust-Oleum pain was the 3 triangles on the bottom because I didn't slowly warm them up the first time I used it, as the instructions said. But the 2000 degree primer paint has stayed on them so that layer of protection is still there. What I am really impressed by is my flames hit the lid every time, lots of flames, not a little, and the paint is not peeling off the screen-mesh part at all. Everywhere else looks EXACTLY the way it did the day I painted it, minus ash-dust of course. Direct flame and no peal, and no rust. I see this lasting me years. I also enjoy the solid black color to it. Looks great!

Love it
We love it and it’s held up great. We did spray it with the rust spray others recommended and have had no rust. We also bought a cover for it and keep it in the garage when we’re not using it. It very big witch we live since we wanted a decent pit size. 10/10 recommend!

Huge deep fire pit
I had initially left a 2 star review due to some issues that I realized were mostly my lack of paying attention. I have not used this yet but so far, it's huge, it's exactly what I spent a long time looking for. I'll update with more photos and impressions once we've used it. I did get the high heat spray paint as suggested by other reviewers, but have decided not to use it until I need to. I really like the slight gold brushing on it and want it there as long as it holds up.

Good for the price but banged up when I got it
It’s huge and probably good value for the cost. It was fairly banged up when I received it. Dent in the bottom, top is warped and pushed in some places, poker handle was broken. For and finish it about what you’d expect for the money. Not very thick aluminum/ metal so I doubt it will last but you get what you pay for.

Decent buy. Not bad not amazing.
It's okay. So a little rusting but I let it sit in rain. So was to be expected. Works great for what I wanted. It gets very hot obviously, so much so it burned my grass under it. Will see how it stand the usage in time.

It's perfect!
It's an excellent pit. Fits lots of wood and the air flow is spectacular. It lit right up and I didn't have to keep tending it, just got to sit back and occasionally add wood as needed. The cage cover is perfect too. Plus, once empty it's super easy to move, fairly light! I didn't use the grill yet. Cons: 1. Assembly was tricky alone, had to ask for an extra set of hands - but still easy enough. 2. The poker is very short. You might want a different poker. I have huge fireproof gloves fortunately, but without those I would have had to find a different poker. And the COVER -- thanks to another reviewer here, I found the perfect cover (sold separately). I mean, talk about PERFECT fit, and great quality too. Here is the link to the cover I bought: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B016MNOYA0?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Excellent design and value
I purchased one for northern cottage site. The design is excellent so I purchased one for home back yard. The unit drafts well and is high sided to hold various sizes of wood. The added grill works well for making hot dogs. Notes. Like most fire pits it is made of Steel so it will rust if not cared for. When not being used and fire is out I cover it with the top of an old poly auto roof top carrier. Second note pour about 1/3 bag of construction grade sand in the bottom before burning. This will prevent burning out the bottom. If you shovel the ash out carefully the sand will last a season or two. High temp paint spray helps but the rain proof cover is the key to last for years.

Love it
Wife bought this for me as a birthday gift and we have really enjoyed it this summer. I like that it is deeper than most fire-bowls so you can actually throw a few logs in there and let it burn for a couple hours. The mesh cover is nice at keeping sparks under control and easy to lift out of the way with the included handle when stoking the fire. We were worried about rust and originally looked at higher-end fire bowls, but it seems like they all will rust out after a couple years so we just went with this cheaper one. After one summer the mesh cover is rusting a bit but overall it still looks pretty new. Not sure how the other poster managed to get it so rusty so fast. I'll probably put a tarp over it for the winter and expect that'll help it last longer, and maybe a coat of high-heat paint when needed. One thing that was a bit of a surprise was because the bowl is so deep, it is quite close to the lawn underneath. We were imagining we could put this away when not using it but it scorched a spot in our grass, so it stays out now. We probably would have been more deliberate about where we used it if we'd thought of this in advance - our mistake.

Deep Bowl Fire Pit
We purchased this fire pit to be used at our trailer on a public campground. It is the fire pit to have. There is a net lining inside the pit that covers all around hence no ambers fly out of it. It is also much much bigger than it appears. We are fully satisfied and do not regret our purchase. The price was also very affordable. Recommend strongly purchasing this item.

Well Designed and Constructed
The media could not be loaded. This was easy to assemble. Well written instructions. The handles make it easy to move even with a fire in it. The handles don’t get hot like the rest of the fire bowl. Many hours of backyard fellowship, laughter and song.
