Works Great-For What I Wanted
We have a hose bib at the front of our house, but I always hate to connect a hose to it. No matter what "house rules" are put in place, the hose always end up sitting out on the front sidewalk, an eyesore and a hazard. This seemed like a perfect solution- a hose that coils itself up and hides in the hostas. === The Good Stuff === * So far it works as advertised. There is no nozzle on the hose, so there is no pressure build up when the hose isn't in use. That seems to allow it to coil itself with a minimum of fuss. I also seldom stretch the unit out all the way, which probably makes it more likely to self-coil itself. * I don't use it for anything more than watering plants or filling up a container or two. Remember, it is a 3/8" hose, and it is almost always coiled, so there is no way you are going to get the same flow as out of a 3/4", straight hose. I'd say I get about 50% of the flow out of this hose that I get out of my regular hose. * The green blends in with the plants, so the hose hides itself nicely. * No leaks. === The Not-So-Good Stuff === * I would trust this hose more if it had brass fittings instead of whatever metal these are. Also a spring to keep it from kinking at the hose bib would have been a nice feature. === Summary === This is a great hose for what it is. It is not going to replace the usual 3/4" vinyl or rubber garden hose you now have. The hose isn't constructed as robustly, and the water flow is going to be much less. But for those places where you want a self-hiding hose, and don't need all that much water pressure or flow, it works great.

Great buy...great price
I bought this hose used for eight bucks and it was worth every penny. The only thing was the clamp at the end needed to be tightened...it was spraying a bit of water but if you are smart and know what to do, it's an easy fix!!. I'm sure that's why it was returned in the first place. They're loss was my gain I guess. I Bought another one for eight bucks used as well. Still waiting on it to arrive. I will update you on that one as well as soon as I use it. This hose is worth it. It's worth it new at $18 and it was definitely worth it for the eight bucks

Plastair Springhose - great fun, but not very practical!
Pros: Decent quality, hooks ups easily. Very lightweight, and storage is quick and simple. Cons: The fittings aren't the best, so I recommend using a bit of plumbers tape around the threads before attaching it, or if you're having trouble with leaks. Stated length is deceptive - only stretches to 12-15 feet. As others have stated, the coil doesn't allow you to stretch it the entire 25ft, so the usable length is only about half that. The further you stretch it the harder you have to work against the tension in the hose. Depending on the area you need to water and any obstacles you need to work around this may not be an issue. If you have arthritis or if you intend for a small child to be able to "help" with the watering, look elsewhere. I got this hose primarily because I thought it would make it easier for my 9-year-old to help in the garden (he's at the age where he still thinks chores are a novelty!). Unfortunately, he can only reach about half of our small garden using this hose. We've already had a couple of "accidents" ("Really, Mom, it was an accident!") where he gets tangled up or the coiling action pulls the hose right out his hands, leaving anyone nearby in danger of sudden drenching . . . On the other hand, he's certainly enjoying himself "helping" Mom in the garden! Warning: The "slinky" effect may be too much for certain users to resist. Of course, this is only an issue if you don't like having fun.

Great While They Last
Constantly replacing mine, they easily develop leaks. When working, great, but not durable.

Decent little hose
Be sure you want a coiled hose before buying. Hose will recoil as you move around while in use and could damage a plant or two if not careful. It must be tightened well not not leak. But all around decent little hose.

Plastair Spring Hose 50ft.
Very compact, exactly like the picture. Winds back up very easily, as it never totally unwinds. I may have to add a 25 ft. to this, as it actually never expands to the full 50 ft. It is quite stiff, which is good for coiling back up, but not so good for distance. It is great to handle and move around with...as long as distance is not an issue for you. I would have given it 5 stars is it had just uncoiled a little further... Although very light weight, it feels very solid, and has good metal ends. Held very securely to the faucet. I would buy again...and will probably get the same hose in a 25 ft. to attach. Can not emphasize enough how easy this is to handle. UPDATE: I have now been using this for several months. It stretches further now...the heat in Arizona is good for doing that. I still like the extra length I added though, as it still doesn't completely uncoil. I have had no problems with it tangling or catching on it's own coils, but I am careful when I move it. It doesn't coil back up as tightly as it first did, but I just lay it along the ground, I don't coil it into anything, and, like I said...the heat. I'm still very happy with it, and would buy again.

Low quality
After less than 5 times of using the hose, water leaks around the connector happened. Too bad that I didn’t water frequently enough to see the problem before the return deadline. I wish I had at least an exchange of a new one if not a full refund. This is a low quality product.

Cheap hose failed quickly. Be warned!
Do not purchase this product. This hose lasted exactly one year from date of purchase before it ruptured and became completely useless. Due to this rupture my pantaloons were rendered soaking wet and I was made to look like quite a fool. Nobody makes a fool of me, Plastair. I have attached an image of the affected portion of the hose. Because the fittings are made of cheap stamped metal rather than brass, the threaded portion easily split. Cheap and wasteful.

Works great
Bought two lengths of this for my RV water lines. Very tired of spending very high prices for that white RV specific hose that makes the water taste absolutely awful. I get no taste from these hoses. Been using one of them for about 6 years now and no signs of it failing yet. Was impressed enough with one that I ordered the second one after finding I needed an extra length due to some RV sights services locations

No strech
The hose it says will reach 25 feet ..My deck is only 20 and it does not reach from one end to the other ..Hose just a lot shorter than advertised. Had the hose about 2 months and the male end of the hose is leaking ..And the washer is good, but changed it just in case and still leaked. Not a very good hose will not buy again.

Had to Fix
The hose itself seems fine. The washer it arrived with was somehow damaged and as a result there was a leak at the connection to the faucet. I replaced the washer and had to tighten the female end over the faucet with a wrench. Basically it is now working without a leak.
