Solid, Visible Light with overly sensitive button
I like this tail light/ flasher light/ please don't run me over light/ whatever we're calling it. Unlike the majority of reviews I do not have it mounted to a bike. I live in oregon and don't like to leave anything worth more than about $5 out in the rain if I can avoid it. As a result this light has lived the last year and a half in my back pack making the trek to campus and back probably 6 days a week. Its small enough to fit in the little outside pockets of my bag along with my rain gear and durable enough to not break even though I'm not the most gentle with my backpack. When I ride at night or in the rain I pull it out and use the clip on the light to secure it to a loop (made especially for tail lights) on my backpack. One concern I do have and wish I had considered before purchasing is that since this light isn't out in the open on my bike, the button is always getting pressed. The button on the back of it is just a little rubber nub that cycles you through flashing, constant light, and off. I would say that at least once every week or two someone comes up to me just to let me know that theres something on in my bag. Its not a huge deal but could drain the battery for when I need it later. I wish that the button was either a physical switch or that you had to hold it to turn it on. And on the plus side at least they can see it through my canvas backpack; the LEDs on this are very bright. Certainly bright enough to be seen from several blocks away which allows most cars to give me ample space on the shoulder. Quick overview/TL:DR The light is bright Its small Its tough Its got great battery life But its button is a little too easy to press and gets turned on in my bag quite often Overall: 4 stars. I've been recommending it to pretty much all my friends that commute on their bikes or just like to ride at night and will continue to do so until I see something better/cheaper

Perfect all-around.
I purchased this along with a Bell Dawn Patrol for casual night riding. As a taillight, I consider it to be the more important of the two, as the streets I ride are generally well lit. The Blinky is small, about 2 inches across and less than an inch thick. The top cover and bottom casing pop apart by inserting a coin into the grove along the side and twisting-- do not use a screwdriver for this! You will scratch it, as it is not a high-grade plastic. I purchased the light for about $10, being a little tight on cash. For so little though, the light has a pretty decent output-- I don't drive yet, but I think you'd have to be sleeping to miss this behind the wheel! I only use the blink mode. It has a rate of flashing about 2-3 times per second and grabs attention. More than one blink mode isn't that necessary in my opinion, but other people may think differently. The Blinky is actually so powerful, it will illuminate a bright red dot from 20-30 ft. on my garage door! The mounting system is a little paltry for higher end bikes (my Giant Roam 1 has a triangular tube shaping, so the mounts slip right off the actual frame), so attachment to the seat post or a bike rack is a must. The large mount without rubber would fit my oversize seat post and (with a few cut down rubber strips) fits on the lower bar of my rear rack. It also comes with a small clip on the rear of the light in case you want to mount it to a backpack. Amazon also sells an adapter for the light to mount it on the center of the rack for about $5. This adapter is also apparently sold with the Blinky 5, so that may be a worthwhile investment to those who frequently haul cargo that blocks their seat post. Final Thoughts-- 5/5 --An excellent entry light. Could have a little more side-side illumination, but it isn't completely necessary. Mounting options are fine, and it is an essential safety feature for all bikes. PS-- I don't think its waterproof, but it's easily wrapped in a Ziplock bag.

Easy To Install, Bright, And Quickly Attaches/Detaches
This Planet Bike Blinky is BRIGHT. You're going to be seeing spots for a while if you stare at it directly! It will definitely help you ride safer by alerting drivers to your presence. I'm honestly mystified about complaints that this light isn't bright enough. The Blinky has an always-on or blinking mode. A blue button on the back cycles through the modes: always-on, blinking, and off. The light also easily detaches from the bracket so you can take it with you when you leave your bike on the street and it attaches to the bracket just as easily. To install: You simply need a Philips screwdriver to mount the bracket onto your seat post. Make sure to mount the bracket the RIGHT SIDE UP by sliding the light into the bracket FIRST to ascertain which side of the bracket is UP -- the bracket should be oriented with the Planet Bike logo the right way up. To attach the light, slide it in the bracket and it'll snap in place. (To detach the light, push a tab under the light towards the light to release a catch and slide the bike light up.) After your bracket is oriented the right way up on the seat post, make sure you tighten the bracket with a Philips screwdriver. To replace the two AAA batteries: The light has a slot on each of its sides. Insert a quarter into the slot on one side and twist and the side will pop open. Do the same for the other side and the entire cover will come apart. Remove and replace the old AAA batteries, snap the cover back on, and you're done. --- This Planet Bike Blinky is easy to install and it's bright. There might be "better" alternatives out there, but personally, I love this bike blinky. I hope this post has helped you make an informed purchase decision. Ride safe.

Great
Had it for two years. Very good for the commute. I don't like the way it turns on/off. It is a soft, small flimsy rubber button. The problem is not the durability, but I can't carry this light in by bag because it always accidentally turns on. Maybe some solid state interruptor? thanks

Delivery time was good and quality was okay
Delivery time was good and quality was okay. However I was extremely disappointed in how bright IT ISN’T, compared to the one I already have on my bike. I was looking for an improvement, based on the advertisement, and instead I got a ‘spare inferior tail light’.

Luz fuerte
La luz es fuerte, se alcanza a ver desde lejos. La uso en el dia en intermitente, aunque de dia no brilla tanto como de noche, pero se nota. Quedo bien en el tubo del asiento. Es facil de poner y quitar una vez instalada la base.
