Nice Ash Shovel
I bought this to replace the one we had that was lost when our cabin collapsed. We were able to save the covered ash can, but didn't find the shovel. Now that the cabin is rebuilt I need a shovel. This is just like the old one which was pretty old. It's made for removing ashes from a fireplace and then putting them in a covered ash can. It isn't made for picking up wood or heavy things. If used properly it should last for years. Please be careful. It is best not to shovel the ashes out until there are no burning embers. I know somebody who wasn't careful and put the covered can in the garage after cleaning the fireplace. The house burned down that night. Luckily, everybody got out safely.

Decent, but not solid.
It's about the quality that can be reasonably expected for the price. The handle could be a bit sturdier, but it will do that job.

Meh, but what else is there?
I couldn’t really find what I wanted - something this size but more durable and doesn’t break the bank. This is OK. Use it on ash only and should be fine. I’ve been known to move around burning wood with it now and then, which will ultimately bend it some. Once it starts to bend it’s downhill from there. So, I just plan to buy one every few seasons and use the old bent one for cleaning chicken nest boxes or as a driveway pooper scooper.

A must have item for a woodstove!
These are amazingly handy little shovels. I love that it has a medium length handle, I can reach the ashes with ease without having to deal with the awkwardness of a long handle. The “scoop” part of the shovel is a decent size, will hold quite a bit of ash at a time and can still fit in the woodstove easily. The only drawback I found was that I wish the shovel head wasn’t scalloped, but that’s not enough of an issue to take off any stars.

Super good quality, extremely sturdy and a tiny tiny price. Whats not to love
I got this to clean out our firepit and charcoal smoker-grill (which is huge). This works perfect! much sturdier than the miniscule price would leave you to believe. I was pleasantly surprised! Im actually going to order another for my grandaughter (2yrs old) to use in her new sandbox as she really covets grandma's! Simply cannot beat the price and it truly is great quality.
