Great product for a better price than similar products.
I had wanted a bottle that cleans the water and keeps the bottle clean for me. I had shopped around and was not ready to pay. The average price. When I stumbled upon this i decided to do some research and figure out if there was some reason it was cheaper. Long story short, this is the same as any other self cleaning bottle for less money. It works the same way and functions perfectly. The only thing that I would have preferred to be different is the charger. The bottle comes with a magnetic charger that is made specially for this bottle. While the charger works just fine, i would have preferred something like usb c. I worry that if the cord ever stops working and gets damaged I wont have a convenient way to change the bottle up again. It’s a minor issue but certainly worth taking into consideration. Beyond that there is no reason to spend more on something else that does the exact same thing.

Great buy
Keeps liquid (l put water) cold for many hours. It disinfects automatically periodically. Great for travel especially in places you are not sure of the quality of the water you drink. It has a handle which makes it portable to carry. But beware, l once forgot another Hydro Flask at work. When l came back, somebody else must have picked it up. All because of that darn convenient-to-carry handle!

Provides as sense of cleanliness
For anyone who travels frequently, this bottles helps provide a sense of cleanliness if unable to wash it everyday. Also helps make drink water sourced from public fountains, etc (think airports) feel a bit more clean. Bottle design is great and the carry handle makes it very easy to hold. Smaller size made sense for me as it encourages me to stand up and fill frequently but take size into consideration when ordering based on your personal preferences.

Good, but not without flaws
First the pros... The bottle is made from quality materials and does a good job keeping the contents cold. I like that it's dishwasher safe. I had one hiccup with a weird pulsing orange light ring (which is supposed to indicate the top is unscrewed) but a charging cycle fixed it. Other than that, I charge about once a week and have had no issues with the UV light. There is no noticible difference in the taste of the water with this method of sanitizing and I have every reason to believe the process is working as advertised. I mostly fill this bottle at airports and feel much safer drinking it after it's been through UV sterilization. It also saves me from buying and disposing of $3-4 plastic water bottles each time I fly. The cons... As others have mentioned, the magnetic charging connector isn't terribly reliable. The slightest amount of tension in the charging cable is enough to pull the connector off the terminals. Moving the cap or bumping the cable will almost always result in a misalignment that stops charging, so you do have to be careful and monitor the green charging light. Secondly, there is little to no documentation or support available for this device. When I had my issue with the pulsing orange lights the manual was of very little help and I couldn't find the correct number to call for support. There's practically no information about this bottle available on the Philips web site. My final issue with this device is the screw-in posts that hold the rubber top strap in place. One of them came lose while in the water bottle pocket of my backpack and fell out. Luckily I heard it hit the ground and was able to later re attach it. Overall, I'm happy with this product and like that it's saved me money and eliminated waste vs buying plastic water bottles. It's a smart and easy way to avoid potential illness when traveling.

Good bottle, terrible electronics
I am updating this review because the customer service was absolutely lovely. They saw this review and sent me a new bottle. They didn’t ask me to update my review. They think that I had a faulty unit. That said, I still find it hard to properly seat the charger on the lid! The original review is below. The good: I like the bottle material, and I love that the bottle portion is dishwasher safe. The bad: it’s nearly impossible to properly seat the plug for charging. My bottle cap started to behave erratically and finally died. It was never submerged in water; it just decided it didn’t want to work any longer. Now the bottle gathers dust.

Still need to wash it at least every other day
I got this bottle, charged it and started using it. Was very excited about it. Even though the UV works and initially you taste that "ozonated" water, if the water stays in the bottle for 2 days (i believe the bottle should auto ionize every 2 -4 hours), the smell inside the bottle becomes bad, the smell of bacteria growth. It is a good bottle but I would suggest to clean it inside at least every other day.

Ideal self-cleaning (UV) water bottle
All in all, decent bottle. I am rougher-than-most with my water bottles, and this one can take more of a beating than I thought. The UV cleaning seems to do it’s job and I’ve seen no mold spores forming on the inside of this bottle. I do wish this bottle held more liquid however.

It's a no-no The instructions are very bad I had to go on YouTube to look it up how it works And the blue light does not work on mine I got this one because it's a Philips not bad choice There is only three or four Written reviews But it's saying 15 I have put mine in an ass not come up

No funciona
La botella tiene un costo alto, bajo el entendido que mediante UV limpia la botella y el agua en ella, sin embargo la botella al 2do día huele a humedad lo que hace dudosa su efectividad. No se si sea el diseño de la botella, ya que el tapón no está al alcance del UV, o sea que la luz UV no funciona. En cualquier caso es muy cara para no funcionar.

Me encontraba escéptico, pero me sorprendió.
La botella de Phillips pretendía ser un producto que nos ofreciera la posibilidad de estar hidratados sin importar el lugar en el que nos encontremos. Esto gracias a su luz UV que purificaba el agua, matando bacterias y virus, yo no lo creía, pero decidí darle la oportunidad al producto. Llevo unos 6 meses con él y no deja de ser uno de los productos que siempre cargo conmigo, compitiendo con mi celular. El agua no tiene mal sabor, no me he enfermado del estómago y su batería es de larga duración. Recomendable.

compromised product. do not buy
the cap containing the electronics displayed a red error code within the first day of use. I filled the bottle with room temperature water only and never washed the electronic cap under running water. the UVC light panel area became compromised with water droplets. The uv sterilization will not turn on. charging the bottle does not produce green charging light, only the red error light. essentially an expensive paperweight. I really wanted to like this product.
