Very nice soup maker..but can be improved
I've used this soup maker a few times now, and it's definitely powerful and easy to clean. I like it a lot. It saves a lot of time for making soup. However, after following the cleaning instructions for the first time, the inside looked a bit worn, as if it had been used before. Also, the cap doesn't seal very well, causing steam to leak out during use. Overall, it's a decent appliance, but there's room for improvement.

A Savior indeed
Its a must for people who are working and dont have time usually to cook meals every day. I have a medical condition and usually need to eat freshly cooked food. This is just the right and must have device. Makes good rich soup. I have only had it for over a month so have only good things to say and hope it will last. 5 stars !

I gave this as a gift exchange present. It was highly sough-after. I didn't use it but it looks cool and seems to be a great way to make a variety of soups and similar foods.

If you like soup buy this
I love it. I can make a cheese soup and it doesn't burn the can as long as I put 1 cup of broth or water in first. It has a nice receipe book. I made the beet soup which I liked and haven't had it long enough to try the other recipes yet. But if you have a soupmaker you will make a lot more soup than you will without one. You know what's going in it. No GMO ingredients for me and Campbell's soup puts in nanotechnology into their soups. I have to chop vegetable finer than my first soupmaker but the motor spining the blade will last longer that way. I just made the cheese and broccoli soup I made on the old soupmaker and it didn't burn the can at all. This is better made than my old gourmia soupmaker. Soupmaker's don't make a lot of soup but that way you don't get tired of it and don't eat it. Plus you can chop up cooked chicken or hAm from the store and add it to the soup and you can cook up rice or noodle in the rice cooker and add it to the soup after you have made it in soupmaker and that extends the amount of soup you have. Once cooked you can add in sour cream or yogurt or creme fraische and add toppings for better flavor or gourmet taste. Now my first soupmaker didn't last a year and I would make soup every 3 days in it during winter. I don't know how long this one will last but if you like soup and like hot meals this is great for a one pot meal or soup as a side. I've only had this less than a week and i've already made the beet soup and the broccoli cheese soup and I have the stuff to make the butternut squash soup next. You can have sandwiches and soup or soup and a salad. And it only takes 18 minutes to make hot ready to eat soup. The smooth setting is not as fine as the gourmia because it had 4 blades instead of 2 but it's doesn't bother me. It's all going to the same place anyway. There are a lot of recipes only line from the UK because the Morphy Richards soupmaker is king over there and it has a saute setting where you can put in butter and onions or whatever you saute and then it put in the rest for the soup setting. I'm sure it tastes better but I'm too lazy to saute onions in butter on the stove and add it to my soupmaker. The beauty is you pour in a cup of liquid first, then your chopped ingredients or other stuff and fill liquid to max level turn it on and walk away and do something else. No matter how tired I am I can always make soup because you only have 4-5 more or less ingredients to stick in the can and heat it up. it's done in 18 minutes and you don't eat junk food. I add spice to the soup after it's cooked particularly if I'm giving soup away to neighbors. Let them spice to their heart's content. Honestly this is an appliance that should be cheaper to buy if more americans used it and I use mine all the time. For summer you can do gazpacho or smoothies or deserts but I like warm food. I make strictly hot soup in it. I used to make cream of asparagus soup and cream of cauliflower soup in my old soupmaker at least once a week. I haven't had this one for more than a week yet but I'm already planning my next soup.

I love it
I love this soup maker. I love drinking fresh soups, so this Soup maker was the best for only 20mn soup ready! You just need to precut your vegetables and add spices, and it's done! It has been a life changer since I bought it in France; I also had to have it in the US. I totally recommend it! You won't be disappointed!

Great little soup maker
Makes excellent soup quickly. Only issue is if you need to pause the soup making process to add ingredients at the end of the cooking process there is no way to do it. They need to add a pause button, but not many recipes call for this feature.

One of the best purchases, ever!
This is one of the best investments we have made for our health! This soup maker is so easy to use and clean, and the texture is just perfect. We have made lentil soup, tomato soup, vegetable soup, and mushroom soup, so far, and every time, it has done a great job! Kudos to Philips, you guys did it again!

Best soup maker I've owned.
Quick and efficient soup maker, high quality materials. Non-staining, easy to hand clean - don't use a dishwasher Unlike other models I've owned in the past, the bearings and shaft are well sealed and keep ingredients, steam etc. from seeping into motor housing causing corrosion or interfering with shaft rotation. One of my most used kitchen appliances.

Quick and easy to use
Super quick and easy to use. I cut my ingredients into smaller pieces so it’s easy to blend, and my smooth soup is finished in under 20 minutes. So amazing that you don’t have to constantly check in on it either

Best soup i've ever made
I just love it ! the product is amazing, a magic soup in 18min. Throw your ingredients, press on and voila! The down side is that it make only soup for max 2 people which is not too much.

LOVE THIS!
I really was impressed by this soup maker. First soup I made was carrot and I was doubtful that big chunks of carrot would be completely cooked, soft and blended smooth but they were. Super impressed! Soup was smooth, creamy and completely blended. So fast and easy to prep and delicious. All the recipes look and sound yummy. I've made two so far and really, really, like this product.

Makes yummy fresh soup each time!
I love my soup maker! It makes fresh soup for 2 people. I freeze small portions of turkey or chicken so that I have it on hand when I make soup. I also cut up vegetables, add broth and seasonings to the soup. If you want a bigger portion of soup, put half the contents (potato, rice, vegetables or meat) into the microwave and cook. Once the soup maker is done, add the cooked microwave portion to the soup maker, stir and close soup maker. Let stand for 5 minutes, stir again and serve. This allows for a second serving of soup for 2.
