Love it.
To clean: I put a squirt of dish soap and fill it with water so it’s sudsy, wait about ten minutes to scrub it then dry it. Just dry upside down overnight and you’re good to go the next day. Just don’t forget to clean it after every use. I made bacon and forgot to wash it, the next time I used it the bacon fat started to smoke and I was horrified. Wash it after every use. As long as you don’t completely fill it up with too much food and clog up places for air to circulate around your food, you’re good. Throw a salmon filet on there, or maybe some chicken breast. It’ll taste a lot better air fried, this magical thing cooks everything and makes it juicy without adding oil. If you don’t care about healthy food, get some frozen jalapeño poppers or mozzarella sticks and air fry it. My personal favorite before I started keto was few days old McDonalds chicken nuggets. They tasted better air fried and a few days old than fresh. I couldn’t believe it either.

Simple reliable airfryer with a couple shortcomings
This unit works fine as a low-end Airfryer on Philips' line-up. Some of the things I wish worked better are: - If you open the tray while the fryer is working, the fan/heat will still run rather than turning off. - For you to turn the dial to reduce the cook time, it takes a considerable amount of force. Without reading the instruction, you'd think you are doing something wrong. - For a 1/4 lb of thin sliced french fries, it takes a considerable amount of time to make it crispy hot: 15 min. Otherwise, I'm fairly happy with the purchase and the simplicity of this unit's build should add to longevity I hope. In case of any failure, I'll make an update to this review in the future.

Worth the money
My kids pitched in and purchased this for their dad for Fathers Day. He loves to fry fish and everything else in good ole oil. The smell lingers for days. We weren’t sure what he would think of this gift but he loves it! He was frying up fish and shrimp within a few days. It’s very easy to use! We use it to reheat left overs which is an extra bonus! I plan on buying more tools to help us fully utilize this great machine! My eldest, college age son is hoping to get one for apartment! When we first started looking into this product, about 2 weeks before Fathers Day, the price was $10 cheaper than what we purchase it for. We purchased it a week later.

Philips TurboStar works like a charm!
I bought this unit because my neighbor has one and likes it and there are so many different air fryers to pick from. This unit is not too big and perfect for 2 of us. If you are cooking for a family, I would suggest a bigger one. It is easy to use and easy to clean. What's not to like about frozen onion rings in 5 minutes!

Works well but...
Instant heat, works fine once you waste a bit of food experimenting (e.g., it won't take a fish filet--only two halves of a filet--a thick (front) half and a thin (tail) half--so to fry TWO whole filets you make the two thick halves batch one and the two thin halves batch two--with two mystery fry times for the two batches). OK, you'll figure it out but you're on your own to do it. The cute little icons on top of the machine have instructions for temp & time. The (single) temp for fish is not even a setting on the temp control, you have to "guesstimate" it. There's no "Notch, Dot, or other indicator" to indicate how much time you've set on the timer or how much is left once it's running. The range on the temperature control is too compressed and the control has too few settings. There is no way to shorten the run time once set and no way to turn fryer off once started. IN SUM: It works but the ergonomics guy was clearly on vacation when the design was finalized.

New to Convection Cooking
This product represents my initial experience with a convection oven, so I can not offer any comparison. I will say that the oven seems solidly built and works well. I did notice that I've had to increase the cooking time over the recipe recommendation. That being said, I would recommend this Air Fryer.

Makes fantastic tots
I try to eat healthy and get my kid to do the same. There are lots of veggie blend tots out there now, and they turn out really great in the Airfryer. Crisp on the outside, but not dried out. My son will chow them down like they were fast-food fries. I've made my own sweet potato fries and they turned out really well. Haven't tried too many other things - chicken nuggets, etc, simply because I don't eat much of that.

This will change your kitchen experience! It can cook anything fast and good!
This is amazing! You can make anything with it quickly and easily! And it's easy to clean. The app only has a few recipes that honestly make it more complicated than it needs to be. Just air fry instead of sauté or broil. For example, I just lightly coated some baby carrots with oil (I use avocado oil), then tossed in ginger power and garlic powder and air fried for like 10 minutes. Delicious! It also does amazing fried chicken! Anything!

Great appliance - But takes a lot of counter space for small Cooking Basket
Love the air fryer and the concept and this was the best brand that was recommended for us. However, the appliance is pretty big ... take a ton of counter space (and if not on the counter - it fills precious cupboard space). The biggest disappointment is how small the cooking basket is. We have a family of 5 and have to cook in small batches which is annoying. Much easier to pop something into the oven. I also find our toaster oven more handy and keep that on the counter more. Overall, it is easy to use and easy to clean and works great but this model is more for a family size of 2 or 3 people.

We should have purchased this a long time ago!
Our entire family uses this product. Works very well, a little loud, time consuming to clean. Cleaning the unit is my biggest complaint, mainly because my teenagers leave it for me or my wife. It takes time to disassemble, clean the four pieces and you have to let it air dry. There are far too many difficult areas to towel dry. On a more positive note, it's better than oil fryers, cleaner, no oil, works just as well. It would be nice to have a larger basket, but we would need that capacity very often.

One of the Best Amazon Purchases I've Made!
I love this appliance! When I first tried it out, I did the usual no oil since that's the reason most people buy it. The food, chicken breast, turned out more baked than "fried". I was very disappointed and regretted my purchase. Then I watched some Youtube videos and saw how you're really supposed to use the fryer -- parchment paper lining the bottom of the fry basket and a couple of spritzes of oil on the meat. WOW!! What a difference. Now when I do chicken thighs, I season them, spritz with olive oil and set the timer for 30 minutes. Then turn them over, spritz again and set the timer for another 5 minutes or so. Awesome! Tastes like fried. My salt and pepper wings and fries taste identical to pub fare. Best purchase I've ever made!

Great for lazy people like me
I love it. You simply place your meat in it. Set the timer and surf on the internet. No looking after it like when you brown something in a pan. The meat is juicy inside and cross on the outside. The basket is not so easy to clean but also not too hard. I got the pan which is much easier. Unfortunately you have to pay extra for it. It should be included. If I could I would take the bigger one instead of this one. But now it is too late. I can even put spiced frozen meat into it. Just let it run a bit longer and everything is fine. Hope it helps. Cheers

An Air Fryer Convert
I love this Air Fryer. I have cooked both frozen and fresh ingredients in it. It cooks quickly and cleans well. It cooks food evenly without burning. The only downside is that It's a fairly large unit and takes up enough counter space that it can't be left out all the time.
