Not as expected

From the photo I really expected the silver to be much more silver. The little rivets are very dull and seem dirty. The leather color doesn't show well in the photos but it's more of a dark oil than a medium. I expected more out of this price point. The one ear headstall just looks very dull and dingy.

Gorgeous headstall

I'm very happy with this headstall. It's durable, pretty and fully adjustable. My horse looks fantastic in it too.

Looks Nice, Horse Likes It

Easy to use. Looks really nice. It's more secure than you would think even without a throat latch. Once you have the size set, you insert your bit and this will slide right over your horse's head. My Missouri Fox Trotter likes this much better than the browband type headstall. The leather is thick and supple. Combine with the clip on quick change split rein for convenience.

Not quite 7’

I ordered this to match my daughter’s bridle. On the longest setting without the single quick change clip it only measured 6’7”. My daughter has a 14.5 hand quarterhorse who wears a 75” blanket. She had to ride this rein with her hand ON her horses neck. It is just too short for her. I guess a few inches can really make a difference. Such a bummer because it is a nice rein for the price. If you want to buy these, make sure you use some bailing twine and tie them off on your bridle at 6’7” to make sure they fit.

Great looking headstall

Great looking headstall. There are setscrews that hold the earpiece in metal attachments that slide on the headstall. Unscrew them and put lock tight in them because they will come loose. Other than that love it.
