Manufacturing/Quality Control Disaster - REMEDIED!

SEE EDIT BELOW I've had a Booda Box for nearly a decade and loved it. It was, however time for a refresh that's why you ordered another one. what I received was a disaster. Clearly since I bought my first Booda box, the manufacturer came up with ways - not to make it better - to it's cheaper we're at the bus my cat has enjoyed for for so long date of a thick, sturdy plastic/rubber like material what came out of the came out of the Amazon box this time light and flimsy and barely held its shape - cheap. What's is that worse top doesn't fit the bottom, not by a long shot. The old top matched the bottom and easily locked into place. What I received this time: the top is nearly an inch too wide just snapped into place or cajolled into place. Not only is it floppy to the eye, but it certainly does not seal the litter. I've already box right back into the box it was shipped in I would have attached photographs of this abomination. Because enjoyed our original Booda Box so much I chose to cross my fingers and this monstrosity was a one-of-a-kind disaster and asked Amazon to replace it with the same "item" - I hope that is not literal! I'll update this review if the replacement box has the quality build of the first.(I fear I'll have no need to attract my criticism, as there are several additional points of design/manufacture that seem to have deliberately been changed… for the worse. Be that the case, when a manufacturer brings to market a beautiful designed product but, over time, figures out to make it cheaper regardless of that decision's consequences vis-à-vis the product's quality, that's such a shame! * As I as I said, I will update this review if this replacement resembles the box I've had for so long. if I have to return the second box Amazon sends I'll report that, too. ** I did contact the company, about this, as suggested by Amazon in choosing a return method. As far as I am concerned, they scoffed It off and failed to address any of my concerns regarding product design changes. "Amazon purchases our product in bulk, resells and ships the product to individual consumers out of their distribution centers. Amazon should have a QC operation in place to ensure that when their shipping to their customers from their warehouse the inspected product will meet the customers’ expectations." And all I wanted to do was refresh a product that has served us so well UPDATE: Bingo! With few expectations, I ordered a second box – it's awesome. It's as sturdy as it was the first box, and the pearl white color is simply fabulous. I trust the first box that arrived had somehow slipped through QA. No comparison!

Works great for my situation!

I have a special needs cat who can’t use her back legs, so I needed something she wouldn’t get her back end stuck on because she kept pooping and peeing on the floor the ramp does a great job of keeping it contained so she doesn’t ruin my floor and it works great for us I now have two because I have two cats and I have no complaints I did get the wrong order the first time I tried to order it but I know that was not the sellers fault so I’d give this product a 10/10 the only thing I don’t like is that the top doesn’t actually connect to the base it just kind of sits on it and it is pretty bulky so you will need a decent size space for a litter box like this

Cats love it!

Now I was sceptical at first, because my cats can be quite picky about their litter box however, they seem to love this one they prefer it over the open one that I have in the same room most of the time. Keep in mind it is a bit bigger and deeper than expected however, I think it's a great buy!

Deters our dogs

This definitely deters our dogs from going "dumpster diving" for ... ya know. However, I will say that since most scoops are straight/flat cleaning the curves of this can be a tad difficult. For kittens it is perfect size. And given that our one kitten has mild CH - it gives him a means to "prop" himself up while eliminating. I'm not sure it will be as convenient once they are full-grown unless they wind up being petite kittens. As for "small spaces" it actually has a larger footprint than our "basic" litter box - but that litter box doesn't have a "privacy" lid. And it also keeps our CH kitten's chaotic burial practices contained. All that being said, we ultimately purchased 3 for our home plus one "normal" litter box. And they much prefer their privacy. I'm not sure how well it will work as they get bigger - I will likely update my review in a year or two to see how it's worked when they hit their full size.

Perfect for my elderly cat

This is perfect for my 14 year old cat. He was consistently peeing on puppy pads outside of his litter box, and I realized that he needed a low edge or ramp to make going potty as easy and painless as possible. This does the trick perfectly. He now chooses the litter box every time. I was worried that he might not use it because in the past he hated having an enclosed box, but this one seems to be large enough to not cause the same issue.

Bigger than expected but not an eye sore!

When I received this, it came in a massive box, I’m not sure what I was expecting but this was much larger than I thought but seems very appropriate for a regular cat to comfortably use. If you wanted to use litter box liners, order the separate pack of them when you order this!! I didn’t realize this had come with a liner but thankfully I already ordered a box of liners because the one that came with this litter box DID NOT FIT. Not sure if it was my luck but the liner it came with was too small, wouldn't have worked, thankfully I had the larger ones I preordered. Haven’t had this more than a day but I have high hopes.

Wonderful product!

I was against the idea of an inside cat, one due to the litter box. They look so unsightly. But THIS is the solution. You do not see the mess! I do also feel like the design kept the smell down if only a small amount since its not wide open on the top.

Finally, after the second time, I received the litter box with an actual bottom in it. I like it. Does the job.

Pleased new cat took to using litter house straight away!

Always had the open litter trays in years gone by so very pleased my new rescue cat has been using this type without any problems. She is quite a small cat so I am not sure how a large cat would do in it but certainly she has plenty of room, and height wise it is fine also.

Brilliant

Love this! It's the easiest to use and clean out of all I have purchased. The only thing is that the opening is a little high. Took my 9 week old kitten a bit of getting used to, but she managed. Looks good too, modern.

Disappointing!

Disappointed with this litter tray! Lovely design however the lid doesn’t clip on is just sits on top and if touched and knocked will fall off? Not ideal at all for cats and considering the price I wouldn’t say it’s value for money at all. I emailed the seller about this and haven’t heard back.

Great product!

This litter tray is brilliant , I'm so pleased with it but,more importantly, my cats love it! The bottom tray is deep in height, so no chance of any leaks, the opening is a good size and the charcoal filter really makes a difference. The lid and the bottom tray do not clip together so you have to remember this when you want to pick it up but its easy to clean and the domed shape means it can sit in a corner. My only disappointment was when I opened the box to find that instead of Pearl White it's actually more of a Pearl Cream in colour so if you want a true white don't get this Dome. In the 15 years that I've had cats this is definately the best litter tray that I've ever had and the domed shape makes it a pleasure to look at as, let's face it, litter trays are not a thing of beauty!!

I love this. It is quite big but looks nice in the kitchen. Unfortunately, I have to have another not so nice litter tray in the kitchen as well as one of my cats only likes to use the topless ones, but hey ho, that's another story.....
