small eraser for specific mechanical pencils - make sure you know this!

Nice, but small
These arrived quickly and safely, but in a huge, plastic, packing envelope. They fit my Pentel mechanical pencil(s) with no problem. Unfortunately, as other reviewers have mentioned, the erasers are very short. The eraser is 9/16" long and the metallic clamp type metal holder is about 6/16" long. Four erasers (with clamps) come in a plastic cylinder/tube with a snug cap. There are three tubes so you get 12 small erasers. As you must have at least 1/4" (based on prior experience) of the eraser inserted in the clamp for it to be held securely, that's means a large portion of the eraser will be wasted. The erasers that have come originally with all (I have a number of slightly different styles) of my Pental pencils have all been longer and pure white. These erasers are slightly grey in color. I've not used them enough to know about any dark smudges some reviewers have mentioned. I bought this pack as the price was reasonably cheap and I wanted to check them out and I wiil be able to get some use from them, but I'm certainly going to try to find longer, white erasers, with or without the metal clamps. I'll just save these clamps for the future.

Doesn’t leave marks
These erasers are great. There’s no eraser marks left after use and they seem to erase well.

NOT for Twist-Eraser pencils!
I have nothing against these erasers, but I bought them thinking they would fit my Pentel Twist-Eraser pencils. DOH! Read carefully before you buy!

Perfect replacement erasers
These erasers are easy on paper and do a good job. The erasers I needed for my discontinued P225 pencil are also discontinued, but I contacted Pentel customer service which said these are the suggested replacement. They fit my P225 perfectly.

Not very functional
The eraser was unpredictable. I know that sounds weird but it slid up and down in the metal clip making erasing hazardous to your paper. The replacement erasers also were not long enough and made clicking down for more lead difficult. Not worth it, pick a different pencil/ eraser combo.

Shorter than expected
Original pentel eraser from new pen on left. Refill on right. Spot the difference. I should have seen from the dimension (half inch) but didn't even imagine the refill would be shorter than the original. They will work and you shuffle them up the metal collar as you use them, but ... shortchanged. I won't buy again.

La foto habla mas que mil palabras en el tamaño que tienen los borradores comparados con los que traen las lapiceras Graph de Pentel, en cuanto a calidad funcionan exactamente igual(borran igual). Apesar que sabia que venian pequeños los borradores los compre, porque estaban a buen precio 70 pesitos por 12 borradores.

Funny to have a fav pencil but I do (sigh ) You can buy single tubes of eraser refill for other brands but Pentel , and only Pentel will fit, you have to buy them 12 at a time. Kind of a lot of money to lay out. But they are a perfect fit .

I FOUND THEM
Staples in Canada sells Pentel 9 mm mechanical pencils, but they don't sell refill erasers. "You will have to buy a package of two (!!) new pencils, M'am." Amazon came to the rescue. They work. This package will last me for a while. Thank you.
