perfect addition to your penn rod reel combo

my flats boat has plenty of storage to store a dozen rods - however they get banged up going to and from fishing spots when stored - i use these on all my penn reels and really does a good job protecting them from getting banged around only advise is - if your rods are 4500 and smaller - just use the large size - even for 2500 - i bought the reocmmmended sizes for my 2500 spinfishers and its a pain in the ass to ge tthem on - the large works better and still does the same job

Well made. Had to stretch it to fit a Penn 5000 Reel so I ordered an XL for that one.

I gave it a 5 because it does it’s job, protects your investment of the reels and for me who likes to leave the reel on the rod it works. Took out the rod out on a choppy day and protected my reel. Would like to see a bigger Velcro, or stainless steel clasp.

Fits Clash II 1000 perfectly

Fits Clash II 1000 perfectly, (size small cover) just have to loosen handle and fold. Handle doesn't have to come off.

Great quality, but takes too long to put on

I bought this cover to go with my Penn Slammer 3 6500, ordered the large, and barely fit. It does it's job, but it's a hassle to put on. In order to get it on in the first place, I have to take the handle off my reel completely. Good thing it comes with a pouch on the front to store the handle, because there would be no where else to put it. I do like this cover, though. I represents my love for the brand with the proud Penn logo and it has amazing build quality. It's much thicker neoprene that what I've seen on a lot of other brands. If you get a reel that's on the upper end of their size for that range, just do yourself a favor and get the next size up.

Fit good, work good, look great...

I finally graduated from my old garage sale specials and Mickey Mouse fishing reels and picked up a few Penn reels. Namely a Battle II 2500 and 4000, a Spinfisher VI and a couple of Shimano Stradics. Great looking little bag, the fit however is tight. Go up a size from recommended on the Penn site though. The pouches work great as I put my fishing gear inside the bed of my pick ‘em up truck along with a couple of fold out chairs and ice chest. These reels were not cheap and I prefer to take care of such things, these pouches offer pretty good protection and look good to boot. Overall, pleased with the purchase. Hoping to add one or two more this coming year. Yay fishing:)
