Stopped the Squeaking and fixed the leaking

I am amazed that these parts were still available for my delta kitchen sink faucet. I had to do some digging and research, but these fit my Delta kitchen sink faucet. For the price you cannot go wrong, I went to a local hardware store and they were just selling the valve stems for $14 dollars each!! Nothing else but the stems. What really hurt is that the local hardware store only had the stems! the bonnet nut on mine cracked during removal. Here you get all the necessary parts to replace your entire valve stem. I would recommend that if you are going to attempt to do this job and replace your cartridge valve stems, I would order these replacement kit. I also recommend you purchase the Danco Waterproof Silicon Grease. I happened to already pick this up at the hardware store! I know its a little bit pricey, but you wont regret it, because in the long term it does help and helps keep your new spring and compression seal together when reinstalling. You simply apply the grease to any o-rings or rubber seals. Makes for a better installation and keeps the o-rings from rubbing on the inside raw material. Overall, it has been about 3 weeks sense I installed these cartridges in my faucet and haven't had any problems. Very pleased and satisfied.

Could be better

The cartridges are slightly different than the oem ones. They have smaller holes and flow less water than the oem cartridges. The kit showed up late and was a very obvious returned item. It took over a week for the kit to walk here. The plastic bag containing the kit had been torn open and taped back together. Each cartridge plastic bag was tore open and had little rubber bands holding them together. I could have picked these up at the local store but it's usually easier to just order what I need. Not happy about paying full price for items that has been returned.

it is easy to install

Yes, it is easy to install. Here are some tips for 1st timers. 1. Remember Murphy's Laws! 2. Before you start, buy a Mr. Clean magic eraser and have a couple of toothpicks. Turn off water to faucet. (See MLaws). Put a washcloth over the drain, you WILL drop something! Silicone grease is not really necessary but if you use it, just barely coat the rubber seals. A 23mm closed end wrench is helpful but a crescent (used correctly works). Clear the sink before you start and put a washcloth or two on the area to keep you from scratching your sink. Remove the aerator from the faucet. If you clean it, be sure to pay attention to how it comes apart. Now, remove any pry off caps (don't use a metal screw driver, you WILL scratch something). Use a proper size screw driver or (Allen wrench) to remove the screw holding the faucet and remove the handle. NOW use your magic eraser and toothpicks to clean around the faucet base. It will take longer to clean the faucet than it takes to put in the cartridge. If you pull out the cartridges first, you will get junk in the seating area. Now wiggle the old cartridge and pull it straight up. With a toothpick, pick out the old rubber cap and spring. Remove and replace the large plastic O ring. If there is no debris where the cap and spring set in, install the new ones. Remember to replace the cap & spring in the same orientation as they came out. Install the new cartridges and threaded lock-downs. Tighten first by hand, then snug up the lock-downs. Replace the handles, screws and caps. Turn on the water and check for leaks. Let the water run for a couple of seconds to purge any crud that might have gotten in. Replace the Aerator and put your tools away before you scratch something. By the way, don't cross thread your screws or hold down caps. Always turn them in a counter clockwise direction until you feel them match up, (You will feel a click) then turn them clockwise and tighten.

Save money and a trip to Home Depot....

Not usually one to write a review so quickly after receiving a product. Like some have mentioned on here they did the Home Depot trip thinking that they were going to get what they needed. When has that ever happened? I long for the days of the neighborhood hardware store that was a 10th of the size of these box stores, yet had everything you needed...on the first trip. Back to the review. So yes, I went to Home Depot bought the crazy expensive cartridge and popped it. Away we go... I thought. A week or so in the faucet began dripping again, the handle was sloppy and there was very little pressure. Not good enough. Like we all do these days I jumped on Amazon and found this product. Just came about an hour ago so I took the other junkie cartridge out and popped this in. The handle is tight once again, the ease of the handle turning on and off is crazy smooth, and the pressure is very strong. It may be better than when it was new. I wouldn't hesitate in buying these again!

The key to buying these type of items is to get the right size for your faucet because there are so many different sizes for this piece that you need to buy the exact right one. And I would urge you to double check the measurements before you buy this, or else you might stand very disappointed when it does not quite fit your sink. In my case, I knew the make of my faucet but I did not know the model number, because unless you have the original documentation that came with the sink (and the previous owner had the sink put in) you are left clueless. Well, so I generated a shortlist of possible replacement parts and I thought this was a possibility. So with a total guess, I bought it, and it fit my faucet. It installed as it should and fit and the slight leak which had existed is gone.

Questionable

Bought these to fix some annoying leaks in our approx 10 year old delta(porter)kitchen faucet...delta says this is my part number 41701...and thats the part number on the package they came in...but these are not even that close to what i found in the faucet and would never have worked...that said these are standard enough that i was able to cannibalize these for seals and the springs and seats,and used these to rebuild the much better quality delta parts that i had(dont be afraid,these are not that complicated and require no tools to disassemble)...a little expensive for what i used,but live and learn,leaks are fixed and i'll know better next time
