Fun game
We haven’t finished playing yet but just like Runelords this is a fun campaign. We 3D printed replacement chips for the mythic tokens and I don’t recommend using the dice, for the sets we’ve used so far the dice seem weighted wrong.

The Worldwound invasion is here. It's time to become a hero of myth.
The strategy card game tie-in with Paizo's runaway hit Pathfinder tabletop RPG is back and it's not taking any crap. The big boxed sets for the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game have been consistently good and worth the asking price. Now they are committing the bold move of adapting their popular Wrath Of The Righteous adventure into card game form. But how can they do that, you might ask. Doesn't Wrath Of The Righteous make heavy use of Mythic Powers? Well, you will be pleased to know that the card game has fearlessly adapted those game-breaking powers, letting your card game characters hit just as hard as their RPG counterparts. The Mythic mechanics are very simple and actually not overpowered at all. Each mythic path gives a character access to a twenty-sided dice - heretofore unused in the card game - along with some other accompanying power. But as in the RPG, you only get a certain number of Mythic charges per game and they are rarely reacquired - use them wisely! Storywise, this is a faithful retelling of the demonic invasion of the doomed city of Drezen, where heroes must rise to drive the hordes of evil back into the Worldwound. An oft-cited complaint about this box is that the "introductory" adventures are harder than all the "hard" adventures that come after. This is unfortunately true. If you are brand-new to the card game, you might want to try one of the earlier releases instead before moving on to Wrath, as the sheer challenge level of the first few adventures can overwhelm and discourage a new player. The adventure path is worth playing through, however. Once the difficulty level plateaus, this becomes a story with big payoffs that is a lot of fun to boot.

Much better than I expected, given the dark theme
I got hooked on the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game via the digital game app. I purchased the Skull and Shackles (S&S) base set and expansion direct from Paizo during a 50% off sale. Shortly after, I saw the Wrath of the Righteous (WotR) base set on an extremely low discount (more than 50% off), so I ordered it (the box had some slight damage, hence the discount). I wasn't going to buy WotR, given that the demons/Worldwound theme did not appeal to me. But I figured I'd give it a try for $29. I'm glad I did. I actually don't mind the darker theme, and I really like the knights/castles contract to the pirate/ships theme of S&S. The characters included in this set offer a goof variety to those in S&S. The challenge is much harder. I tried soloing with one character, but could not even get past the B deck without having to restart. It was frustrating at first, but then assembled a team with a complimentary set of skills, and it worked much better. There is enough game play differences to make it worth the additional purchase (on top of other base sets): mythic paths, cohorts, corruption/redemption. If you're on the fence with this base set because you are hesitant with the dark theme, I would say you may be delightfully surprised.

Missing 1/3 of the cards
So much for this birthday gift. I bought this for my boyfriend and he found out it was missing a deck. How is he supposed to 0lay this how its meant to be played when he's missing 1/3 of the cards??? I feel slightly cheated :/

Great game, I've played through the whole game twice (all adventures)
Great game, most difficult of the 3 as you can fine tune the difficulty using less mythic charges (major new feature of the game). There is also a hard mode ending to the game, which is also fun and adds a little more difficulty to the game. My friends and I play with the separate class decks and use some of the more difficult players to add even more difficulty/replay-ability to the game. I like this game over playing the RPG as this is streamlined and keeps everyone focused on all the different goals of the game.

Fun, engaging, ADDICTIVE...
A friend of mine has darn near every card ever made available for PACG. We've been plugging through Rise of the Runelords for a little while, and I've enjoyed it. I joined the Pathfinder Society Adventure Card Guild and had a blast playing at GenCon 2015. Then, I picked up my first base set (Wrath of the Righteous). Dear. God. This is SUCH an addictive game. My girlfriend and I play it every chance we get now. I'm sure the shine will eventually wear off, but right now, it's seriously cutting into our sleep time. Be warned...

Adventure in Card Game Form!
The Pathfinder Adventure Card Game has a brilliant system that really does a great job of mimicking an RPG without, well, the role-playing aspects. It gives you an abstracted adventure where your characters can face challenges and foes, and grow stronger and gain loot and all that fun stuff. This iteration is harder than previous ones, full of demons and other nasty things. Lone Shark is a great company, and their partnership with Paizo on this product makes something great.

Dungeons and dragons
If you like dungeon and dragons games this will appeal. You can play solo but game is more interesting with more characters. Why I gave it four stars is the instructions are a little hard to follow but go on you tube and follow the walk through and they start making sense. Also the game is structured so after you have played it eventually you will have to buy add on card sets to keep the game alive these are about £15.00 each. But still great game but keep above points in mind.

Very glad, it's an awesome game
Having finished Skulls and Shackles, we were looking to get the original base set but happened to some across this instead. Very glad, it's an awesome game. Delivery arrived very quickly and we have since got all the adventure packs and character add on.
