Decent, but nothing special
I'm using these with a Roborock E35 and they do make the robot turn away, but I don't see these as anything different that the generic ones that are cheaper. The Neato ones have a triangular profile, where the top slopes away on each side, so these will probably work well to block off rooms and with less risk of someone tripping over them. But, the Neato ones don't have any adhesive backing, so the vac can nudge them around. I ended up using carpet tape to semi-permanently mount them under a sofa. BTW, in case anyone else is searching, these don't work upside down, underneath the sofa. I tried attaching them to the underside of the sofa, but the vac wouldn't recognize them. The magnets don't seem very strong.

COMPATIBLE WITH AMAREY A900 - IT'S A WINNER
So I have an Amarey A900 robot vac which came with about 7 feet of boundary strip but was not nearly enough for my needs. I have a stairwell open on 3 sides I need to block off. I contacted the manufacturer and they said they did not have any other strips for sale nor were any others compatible on Amazon but they would look around and send me another if they could find one! This is poor customer service, in my book. I was willing to pay for it - I wasn't asking for anything for free. Surely they have boundary strips - they include one in each vacuum package! Anyway, I looked at the boundary strips on Amazon and this NEATO strip was brown, as was the one I got with my vac and looked the same so I ordered one. I figured I could return it if it didn't work. Well, it works perfectly and is about twice the length of the one that came with the vac. I put the strips down and weight them on each end with paperweights so I don't have to tape them to the floor. This was a win. I may order an second one because I like to partition my open floor plan off so the vac cleans just one area at a time without wandering all over the place.

Works, but price seems a little over priced
Functionally, this works well. See what I wrote below on how it inconspicuously establishes a boundary for the carpet. HOWEVER, Mine arrived a over 22" shorter than advertised. I hope a few more purchasers will measure what they receive to see whether they ever arrive at the advertised length. Due to the length being over 12% shorter than advertised, I've reduced my rating. In summary, this is a good product but deducted two stars, one each for: a) Over priced; b) Does not arrived at the advertised length. Original text written July 13th follows ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We've had our XV-21 for a week and are still getting acquainted! ;-) While we are SO HAPPY with it in general, there's been a few occasions where it got stuck on our carpet. Tonight I used the boundary marker that accompanies the Neato and placed it "just under" (yes UNDER) the edge of the carpet. Neato went along that edge of the carpet continuously testing but didn't cross over, and once the boundary was established, it continued with the rest of the house without troubling that boundary again i.e. worked well. In summary: It does work (at least if used as I do) and due to it's flat design can easily slip into place in an inconspicuous way. Slightly over priced, but that won't stop me buying.

Works ...mostly
For the most part I like this product. I do wish that Neato had other options in addition to this strip to control the machine. I have found that the machine can push up against the strip repeatedly and actually move it until it can figure a way around. I have to brace the strip with something like chair legs etc. Also I would love to lay this under my area rug and have it work since the only time I let Neato in the living room is when I can monitor it as there are just too many obstacles for it to be left to its own devices. If it could be detected under the rug or if there were some other room markers that could be installed permanently without being obvious or in the way, that would allow me to set the Neato programming to clean the rest of the main floor and save the living room for when I can monitor it.

Doesn't work everywhere
I love my Neato Robotic Vacuum, but he gets a little overzealous about getting into certain areas to clean, so I bought more magnetic tape to help the vacuum "stay in line". On carpeted areas the tape works great. There is never a problem with the vacuum tumbling down the stairs. However, we have wood floors downstairs and a wood stove with a tiled area under it. This area has wood molding around it. I put the magnetic tape just outside the molding and the robot still insists on climbing over the strip and the molding. Then it gets stuck inside the square and can't get out. If I were to put the tape an inch or so out from the molding I am pretty sure it would work, but it already looks pretty unsightly skirting the molding, would just be worse further out into the room. I guess the tape works well in general, but still not perfectly in every situation.

Just what I needed
Just what I needed for a new couch under which Neato now gets stuck. Was able to cut to length with sharp kitchen scissors. Placed 7” under couch so is barely noticeable giving Neato room to easily get along the edges without getting stuck

A Must Have to Make Your Neato Run Well
The Good: I used this extra boundary marker to assist in creating a circle barrier around a circular rug which was under my kitchen table. For some reason, my neato cannot negotiate the legs of my chairs and table. After many failed attempts to help it out, I just decided to create a circular boundary under the rug by cutting two strips into 12 inch sections and taping them under the rug. It works great and my neato goes around the whole thing. Now it can clean my entire one story house without fail. The Bad: They are expensive I think. In reality, the are nothing more than a strip of magnets. I wish they were a little cheaper, but I can understand neato probably makes a lot of money by selling these.

Handy Accessory for Neato
How can you rave about a bit of magnetic tape? The main thing is it does what it's meant to do, that is, keep your Neato from straying into dangerous territory. The Neato comes with a shorter piece of tape, which is very useful, but if you have a large open area and part of it is very untidy, the longer tape helps cordon it off. You can also cut it to size for specific areas.

Does the Job as Expected
Does what it says on the box and keeps the robot out of harms way. However I consider it somewhat expensive for what it does but I couldn't find it cheaper elsewhere; clearly RPM in operation here hence the lack of stars.

Seems to work quite well, although if the tape isn't completely flat, sometimes the Neato will just push right past it. It would be better if it could be a few feet longer so it would span the length of the room.

Does not work
I bought this to use under an area rug but it does not work! My Neato botvac connected came with a roll of boundary marker which works well under an area rug, but when this boundary marker I bought here is placed in the exact same spot, my neato does not recognize it. Magnet is obviously different with this one, it also looks different from the one that originally came with the neato vaccum. Terribly disappointed.
