Changing fish tank water..

I use this to test the water temp coming out of my faucet when changing my fish tanks water. I don't want to shock my fish and sometimes it is difficult to tell how warm/cool the water from the faucet is depending on the temp in the house and seasonal changes. This does the job, is very fast and seems accurate to within a degree.

Works great

I work in food service and needed a thermometer to temp food that would hold up to wear and tear, be easy to use, and small enough to carry but big enough to not lose it. This works great

Quick start up, very quick and accurate readings

I actually use this to check my aquarium water temps because it's not only water proof, it give very quick and accurate readings ( I don't submerge it even though it's water proof). Worth the expense just for those reasons alone. Also came with a case and spare battery. Very pleased.

Accurate and FAST

I never write reviews but felt I should with this thermometer. I looked all over the internet for days looking for accurate thermometer for my fish tank. I chose this and I am so glad I did. If you have fish, this is the one for you.

Great product for the price

I have order this three times now.....only because my student seems to misplace it. The digital thermometer is precise and fits easily into the side pocket of a chef coat. Ordering a couple for backup this next school year!

Great tool; easy to use, clean, and store safely

My boyfriend has had this thermometer for years. He got it through the restaurant he used to work at, so when his mother asked for one for Christmas we were excited to find it on Amazon with Prime delivery! From experience using it, it's a great tool to have in your kitchen - really easy to clean, the battery lasts a long time, and the temperature is clear and accurate (if you keep it in contact with the dish you're preparing, you can literally see the temperature adjust and rise as the dish keeps cooking). Also love how small it is so it doesn't take too much space in your drawer, and the protective sleeve/cap makes me a lot more confident in keeping the thermometer safe. Definitely worth investing in

So fast, very easy to use

I got this to help with managing aquarium tank temperatures during water changes, so that I could adjust the faucet as needed to maintain the correct temperature before being conditioned and being added to the tank. This thing provides an immediate read, and it will continue to provide adjusted readings as I tinker with the faucet handle trying to stay within the correct range. I cannot say with absolute certainty that it gives an accurate reading, but it seems to be consistent and I trust it. I was reluctant to spend this much money on a thermometer, but I have to say it was worth it. My husband is even eyeing it for his beer-making hobby.

Really disappointed

I don't use my instant thermometer very often. Perhaps that's what the problem is. But I went to use it today and it seems it isn't working properly ... or "instantly". The battery is still working, so I don't know why it stopped working. I used it about 2 weeks ago and it worked fine. It sits in its holder in my cutlery drawer (at the back - where it won't get knocked about) and is always cleaned after each use. So I don't get it. I'm really disappointed. I can no longer recommend this product. _________________ I like this product and can highly recommend it. Have used it several times and it seems to be bang on accurate! :)

Sturdy enough for casual kitchen use

I used this product to work in a busy restaurant. I found it very useful and accurate for what I needed. It is waterproof which is why I bought this unit as a replacement to the non waterproof model. If there was one thing to improve it would be the overall size. I would like a smaller version.

Pretty easy to use when doing salmons /steaks/ prime rib / little bulky when in a chef jacket but overall its quality.

Quickly gives you a temperature. Easy to insert and gives a temperature quickly.

Easy to use. When I chose a temp for medium cooking for a steak, the steak came out medium. Subsequently, when I used a temperature that was to be well done for steak it was well done.
