Easy to install and the size was as advertised
These windows were easy to install and the size was as advertised. A previous review mentioned that the window could only be fully opened, buy there is a tension adjustment on the hinge bracket to adjust the tension with a 3/32 allen wrench (see the attached photo).

Great quality for the price!
Packaging did the job well. Arrived undamaged. Quality is far better than expected for around 100 per window. Installation is going to be different for each window but these accommodated three different types of basement window installation. Recommend

If you live above 5000 ft, their customer service agent told me this is not for you
I've lived in/near Denver my entire long life. I've always bought windows from Home Depot, Lowe's, whatever, and no one has ever told me I needed high altitude windows...nor have I had any problem with those 'regular' windows in houses, additions, two offices, a triplex, etc, in which I have installed them. I bought these online and installed them in Colorado. All was fine until the next morning when one of them had multiple cracks in a pane. I called the customer service number of the company that supplies and ships them for Amazon, and "Chris" said I needed high altitude windows for anything being installed over 5000 ft altitude. Not one single place on Amazon's website does it say that customers should not buy these if the windows are being installed at 5000 ft or above altitude. That means you should not buy these if you live anywhere along the front range of Colorado, from Trinidad, Colorado Springs, Denver, or Ft. Collins, and of course all the way across the state to Grand Junction. Don't buy them if you live in or near Flagstaff, Arizona; Cheyenne, Wy; Laramie, WY, or Jackson Hole. Los Angeles begins at sea level, but the outskirts run up the mountains to over 5000 ft, so these are not for you. Don't buy them if you live in Santa Fe, NM or Albuquerque, NM. There are many places in the western states over 5000 ft: Washington, Idaho, Montana. According to the company providing and shipping these windows, they are not for you even though they don't say so in their product information. In the event of a problem, everybody on the delivery end of this product has this worked out to cause you the most effort possible, so you won't return them. (Take out the drywall, take out the window, box it up, and ship it back to flatland Illinois.) Fortunately I'm using these as interior-to-interior wall transom windows, and I'll just get another pane cut for one side and clear caulk it in.... it doesn't matter for this install it the two panes are not vacuumed sealed. I cannot recommend this window. The product information is not complete, and I wouldn't trust it if you're not using the window for anything other than a basement in Illinois.

Vertical Instulation
I am installing 12 of these windows in my green house. So far I have put 4 of them in vertically and they seem to work well. I installed them to open to the outside to keep them from interfering with plants and also can be opened with going inside. The only thing i did was drill a 3/16 hole in the bottom of framing to let rain water drain out. When window is installed vertical the factory holes are not in the correct place. I probably would not put them in my home like this but in a storage building or green house, they work well. I have updated the post and pictures sense I installed the first four windows. The next four windows all had at least one broken corner. One had three broken ones. You can see then in pics. They installed ok but it was very disappointing to see then broken. They seem to be packaged well and all the corners have extra foam and bubble wrap on then. Hope the last four are in better shape when I unbox them.????????????

Value and Quality Outweighs One Con
The media could not be loaded. Overall, I’m impressed with the quality and the price of these windows. The windows arrived with excellent packaging/padding. Each window (I bought 3 total) was individually boxed and shrink-wrapped with firm bubble sleeves to protect the ends that would contact the edges of the package. The install was fairly easy, and with some window & door grade low-expansion Great Stuff to seal the edges, even on the below-freezing nights we've had so far, I haven’t felt any draft coming through the windows whatsoever. The windows seem to be well-made. The handle moves between 2 clear positions to indicate locked or open. When in the locked position, only about a 1/4" of the handle tip slides behind the upper ridge of the window frame to create the locking connection. I give the window security a B+ grade. It feels like if I pressed hard enough from the outside that I might be able to punch it in, but of course I'm not going to test that, and I feel like if someone is trying that hard, this window will hold strong enough for anyone not determined to just break the glass anyways. The only real con I can report, and it doesn't seem like many others are having this issue, is I can’t seem to get my windows to stay in an open position once I open them more than 20 degrees or so (see video). Other reviewers have reported that the window will stay fixed in whatever position you open it to, but I have not had that experience. After mine tilt past about 20 degrees or so, they sort of fall down to the fully open position. I installed the windows plumb, so I’m not exactly sure why mine are behaving differently. It’s not a huge deal, and I would still buy these windows again if I had the need for more. The only thing I might do differently next time is install them with the top angled a couple degrees back from plumb to counteract the force of gravity that pulls the window all the way to the open position after a certain point. Overall, happy with the purchase. I’m still giving these 5 stars… rounding up from 4.5.
