Buy for the Handle, Not the Shovel

Waking-up to about 3 to 4" of wet snow this morning, it was my first opportunity to try-out my new Radius shovel and fore grip. After learning firsthand what is good and not-so-good about this shovel, I'm in full agreement with Ryan D's review. The fore grip is a nice addition to a shovel that does help save one's back a little and makes it really easy to fling snow. The shovel itself, however, leaves much to be desired. For one, the fore grip rotates around the shovel's slippery shaft no matter how tight the thumbscrews are. Second, the huge gray, plastic thumbscrew used to hold the two parts of the shovel shaft together hit me in the knee several times. Hence, consider buying this shovel for the handle, get yourself a better shovel, and put some kind of grip tape on the shaft so the fore handle doesn't move around.

The handle that makes it seem like you have a set of extra helping hands

The ergonomic design did exactly what I had hoped it would. With so many choices I had a hard time choosing a shovel that I could handle, I have alot of disabilities and I'm not supposed to even be trying to shovel snow, but this one was true to it's advertisements. It was lite and it had plenty of clearing space. I would definitely recommend this shovel to anyone. The ergonomic design of the handle is like having an extra set of hands when you're lifting the full shovel of snow. But at to the design the lite weight of the shovel even with it fully loaded with snow and it's a winner.this will be my shovel for as long as I can keep going. I know I'll be using it when the flower planting time comes along. Thanks once again Amazon for another great product.

I recommend, the 2nd handle is rubbery, wasn't expecting that, I honestly don't know if it helps or is hindering it. Regardless the shovel certainly works, at certain times i find it easier to shovel regularly and at others its easier to use the 2nd handle. Im 24 and find it easy to use but got it for my older mom so she can try and shovel some when im not here. It shoveled the ice that was on the driveway after I put some salt in it and let it marinate in the sunlight and stuff for 20 minutes, good investment and it came in time for a snowstorm we got here

odd but effective

this shovel is just odd... the front hand grip is flexible... I didn't expect that... (not a complaint just an observation) After I ordered it we had two major "once in 20 year" winter storm in one month. About 1" of freezing rain ice followed by around 20" then an 1.5" of ice followed by 12" of snow... I live on a corner lot with two driveways. After using this shovel in both storms I can say after I figured out how to use the flexible handle (5 min learning curve) this is the most efficient shovel I have ever used... it takes the strain of the work out of your back... good job who ever designed this thing

Good Snow Shovel

Upon deciding to get a snow shovel, and looking through the different results to see what be best for my personal situation I decided to purchase this brand. Better than a basic shovel with the extra handle support, I've used it multiple times with no real problems. Much better than a basic snow shovel and though it costs a little more, the small investment is worth the effort to do.
