Love Lodge

It was a deal day. Been wanting this type of skillet and my Dutch oven lid fit! Even got an 8" bacon press to cook bacon that fits perfectly also a deal (wasn't Lodge). Very happy. Much lighter than cast iron fryer.

Nice little skillet

I have a large collection of cast iron from several companies, including 10 Lodge of various shapes sizes. This smaller dual handle skillet is a nice addition. It is lighter weight than what Im used to. The seasoning out of the Box was nice, a bit smoother than some I’ve gotten from Lodge. So far I’ve cooked 5 assortments of food, including eggs. I used 1/2 tblsp of butter for a 3 egg omelet. It cooked very very well. I of course have been vigilant with after cooking heat, oil, etc, as is required with any cast iron. For just the Hubs & I this skillet is perfect, and even something for 4 I think would be fine. All in all it’s a 5 star thumbs up

Always wanted a cast iron skillet!

This is perfect for so many recipes. Works great on my glass stove top and in the oven. I like the small side handles instead of one long handle. I've made dinner, side dishes...even dessert. Came ready to use right out of the box. 10/10

Baking Skillet

The baking skillet is very versatile to use.It can be used as a skillet for on the stove top or for baking pan to baking in. You have to remember it is a cast iron product. So you do need to season the product after every use. So it want get rusty......Overall I give it a five star for preforming cooking tasks!!!

Wrong pan.

I didn't get the bakers pan I got a skillet. But I decided to keep the skillet and order the bakers pan at a different time. Lodge is a very nice product.

Wonderful brown flakey biscuits slide out of this pan.

Just the right size for a small family's biscuits. Great heat distribution allows for the flakey layers and golden brown color of my biscuits. Only quick wipe and it's clean. All cast iron is heavier than some other cooking pans but the weight is doable and the result are worth the weight.

Beautiful pan

I bought this cast iron pan for making cornbread because a friend told me not to bother buying any other brand. She was right. It’s the perfect size and weight. The two handles make it easy to pick up and handle. It cooks and bakes beautifully and cleans easily. What more could you ask for? I think my Teflon coated pans are history.

Excellent if you bake a lot

This is a great pan for bakers but you can't use it on a gas stove. Nothing will happen but it's not written gas stove friendly on the info sticker that comes with the vessel. But excellent quality. The price is totally justified

Fantastic pan for cooking in a Big Green Egg Minimax

I bought this to use in our Minimax Big Green Egg. It's much lower cost than the Big Green Egg branded version, and given that it's made by Lodge, has a great pedigree. I'm very happy with the results so far. I mainly use it as a high sided searing surface so that I can keep the meat juices for sauces and stocks. The pictures are from cooking pan-seared duck breast and mushrooms using the Lodge pan.
