Fantastic!

This dressing shaker is absolutely fantastic. I was a little leery given that it's plastic and not glass. Not a factor. It's very heavy and solid. All the threads fit tight so no leaks ever. Cleans up super easy. AND… it pours great. Never actually thought about before, it but it lets you drizzle your dressing nice and evenly all over your salad. Excellent dressing container!

This is by far the best cruet I’ve ever had! I either make my own salad dressing or use Good Seasons and doctor it up. This cruet does not leak at all no matter how much you shake it and pours without dripping. It also holds a lot of salad dressing. I also bought the smaller one and that’s great too! I would highly recommend buying this. You won’t be disappointed. You’ll just wish you bought it sooner! Excellent!!! Oh and if by chance you drop it or tip it over it won’t leak then either. Fantastic!!!

Oxo always comes through

I have two of these in two sizes and love them, they work great. I tried another brand that was a bit cheaper but it just didn't work as well. I like having more than one dressing handy so I may even get more.

Favorite vinaigrette maker

Perfect size and weight for shaking up a quick salad dressing. The measurements marked on the sides are handy, and I like that it is plastic so it doesn't shatter when dropped on the floor or counter. But the best thing of all is the tilting closure on the lid - it's easy to keep it closed with one finger while shaking the bottle, and when it's nudged open, it pours precisely and without dripping. I usually don't even use a recipe, just one cup olive oil, 1/3 cup lemon juice, and a teaspoon or so of garlic salt for dressing tabouli, or add some pepper and whatever dried herbs you like for "Italian" dressing.

Really like it.

I got tired of the Good Seasons bottles which don't close properly and aren't as neat. I'm using them for salad dressings, I have two. What I most like is when I made Good Seasons salad dressing, it didn't separate after putting in the refrigerator. It must be a suction thing. When I got the second one, I bought the small one at first. It works OK for the Good Season dressings but the larger one is a better fit. The dressing comes right up to the attachment line, so I exchanged it for the larger size. I did the experiment with water. I also was happy to find the second one in green so that I could tell them apart.

Another good Oxo product

I have these in two sizes. They work best with thinner dressings and work well with oil based dressings. I find them frustrating with thicker dressings like Ranch because the tip tends to clog. If you're going to use them with a thicker dressing, it would work better if you thinned the dressing some first. These get messy with kids with thick dressings.

Just one flaw

Ironically the one flaw in this very useful and attractive beaker is trying to open it once it has a little oil/salad dressing resting on the outside. Ironic, because OXO calls it "good grips." The black band should have a non-smooth texture so you call grip it to open it without having to wash down the exterior.

Makes dressings simple, just the way I like em'

Recently, my wife and I had discussed using mason jars as dressing shakers. She took an interest and found the Oxo shaker through Reddit, alongside a boatload of positive stories and reviews. I decided to take a chance on it, considering I have 3-4 OXO products, and they're all solid. Well, except for a loose handle on my lasagna turner... Fortunately, the salad shaker has no loose parts. The stopper stays in place nice and tight, and the lid unscrews and seals with ease. The plastic is durable (I've dropped it a couple o' times) and, most importantly, doesn't absorb scents. I've been using highly acidic and often smelly ingredients (pulverized anchovy, etc) for months without issue. It's dishwasher safe, which is a nice little bonus. •• Thick Dressings •• As some reviewers have noted, the space between the stopper isn't huge. It's about the size of my pinky fingertip. If you like thick chunks of cheese or fruit directly in your dressing, this shaker won't work. I mean, it can accommodate smaller things within reason. I don't quite understand people saying they have trouble with thicker dressings. If it's too thick to come out, you're eating glue, not salad dressing. Don't know what else to tell ya. On that note, it pours very nicely. This is one of its strengths over a mason jar. You can be accurate in the event that you don't want excess spillage. •• Conclusion •• The verdict is... this salad shaker is great. It's easy to use, simple to clean, and a delight to have in my kitchen. Viva la salads!

Better than expected

This salad shaker is made from heavy plastic feels great in your hand and the seal or Works very well. We use it almost every day for the past few months. Easy to clean and dishwasher safe. I’ve purchased two more for gifts for both my daughters

Great value and Quality product

Already own 2 of the smaller size and have been overjoyed with them. If you have a salad dressing recipe that you use a lot in a week this is the larger size for you, especially when we have guests. The larger sizes allows the volume that you need instead of 2 smaller containers. Great Products (Large and small), well designed & constructed.
