Solid, High Quality Wooden Spoons to Protect Your Scratch-Sensitive Cookware

I've always had an affinity towards Oxo products. My Oxo garlic press has lasted me some 20+ years. When I started cooking with enamel cookware, like my Le Creuset Dutch oven, I knew I needed some way of protecting my cookware. So, when I saw these set of wooden spoon offering by Oxo, it was a no-brainer. I've used these wooden spoons for a number of weeks now. Let me just say they feel great in my hands. They are solid and well-built. I've used them to mix all-purpose white flour in a glass mixing bowl, after pouring in my yeast water. This means I now have a dough ball and this wooden spoon handles that task quite well. Then there are more mundane uses, like use as a spatula on scratch-sensitive cookware, like my Korean dol sot bowl or my All-Clad sauce pans. Of course, this is made of wood and cannot be used in a dishwasher. I try my best to clean the wooden spoon within an hour of using it so that the liquid had less time to damage it. There are other times when I've left the used spoon on the counter overnight, especially after cooking rice. In these cases, I do soak the spoon in water for about 15 minutes, then clean it. Clean up is still easy at this point, which is the point I'm trying to make. Overall, I recommend this set of spoons.

Really nice!

I wasn't sure I would like these for stirring....boy was I wrong!! These are soo much better than the skinny handles on wooden spoons!! Love them!!

Larger size

Just what I needed. Thicker handle and a longer handle without being too long. The only down side is that they need to be oiled all the time. I’m hoping they will start to soak up some of the oil and be a bit smoother in the hand. That being said, they are still the perfect size for me.

Great spoons

Really liked these spoons and use it a lot.

Solid, well made spoon.

Has an almost "unfinished" feel in the hand. Oddly dry and slightly off putting. Bulky but easy to jold on too. Because it is bulky it doesn't get around the bottom of the pan easily. However, overall sturdy product I am happy to have.

Sturdy and easy to grip

I have arthritic hands, so one of my favorite things about these spoons are the large-diameter handles. My old wooden spoons have narrow handles that are painful to grip for any length of time. Also, the heads of the spoons are sturdy and very effective for stirring things like soup or stew while they simmer. I rated them 4 instead of 5 only because the wood is extremely dry. I had to give them three applications of Clarks cutting board oil before the dry feeling dissipated.

Good spoons

I bought the spoons to use with my stainless steel pan and skillet and I’m very pleased. They’re well-made and will hold up to repeated use.

Love the handles

Up until now most, if not all of my wooden spoons were from the dollar store (crappy wooden spoons with thin handles). These are NOT that! Thick, sturdy, durable. They are in the category of proper kitchen utensils you will enjoy using and taking care of.

I LOVE THIS SET!

There are wooden spoons, and then there are Oxo good grips wooden spoons. Most wooden spoons have thin cylindrical handles which can spin in the hand of someone with insufficient grip. These handles are thick, chunky and square-ish making gripping much easier, and also preventing spinning. The head of each spoon is much more 'dipped' than the average wooden spoon, therefore holding a greater amount of food when used for serving. The largest is pretty big, whilst the middle and smallest sizes are very practical for everyday use. I love this set as they feel robust and substantial in the hand, and I am sure they will last for many years to come.

Best Wooden spoons in the market

I love to cook and I have used wooden spoons before but no like these ones! They are the best I’ve ever used: the have a great grip, their shape is fabulous. They come in different sizes, they don’t scratch the pans and are easy to serve the food, too. I will definitely buy them again
