It will last for years

This lasted for years. The only issue was that it lost its shine after a while. Eventually it broke but I had this dispenser for years so it was worth it.

Almost perfect... Maybe?

The sleek uncluttered design of this dispenser is surprisingly light without compromising it's sense of sturdiness and durability. The wide clear base should make it very stable, and definitely makes it easy to know when you are getting low on liquid. Because I use it to dispense Dawn liquid, the bottle is not quite as stable as I prefer. The pump struggles to deliver a proper squirt of the less viscous fluid. The amount of pressure needed on the top mounted pump causes the bottle to ttopple despite it's wide base. Therefore, I just cut the soap with equal part water and that almost solves the problem. If the pump where just a bit more robust and angled out a bit more out, I could squirt a generous bit of soap directly into the sink. Instead I have to squirt a bit on a sponge or something else that needs washing. Maybe this is a design feature and not a bug, because I definitely use less soup now. I now just dispense a single drop of soap directly on my sponge and begin washing without filling the sink. I add one more drop as needed to maintain a soapy lather as I proceed from the most dirty pots to the least soiled glasses. Once everything is lathered up, I rinse everything at the same time, only in reverse order. By the time I get back to rinse the pots and pans they have been in contact with a stronger soap solution than if I had left them to soak in a sink full of water and grease. I think I scrub less this way. I would never have changed my habit if this dispenser had a more robust pump, but now I think I am using less soap and water to get the job done in less time. In any event, if this were lost or damaged, I would replace it with an identical item. Others may require a unit that can deliver thick liquid at a higher volume. If that's the case this might not satisfy their needs.

Looks nice, but hard to operate with one hand.

It looks nice but . . . The button is a little too hard to push down. You pretty much need one hand to hold the thing (in the air over whatever you are washing), the other to push down. It’s awkward to use. For dish soap, I want to grab and squeeze or pour it with one hand. Also, the hole the soap comes out should be out further from the bottle. If you put the bottle on the very edge of the sink and push the button, the soap would dribble down the side of the sink if not on the counter. So again, back to 2-handed operation.

I've bought two

This will be the 3rd one of these I buy. It's great, no rust, easy to clear, functions well. But if someone knocks it into my corian sink - the plastic cracks. This new one is stainless steel but they left the bottom plastic which is where I cracks if it falls. Not sure if iit's possible to fit this as they want to be able to see how much soap is in it but that is my experience and wish. I like it and wouldn't hesitate to buy it (obviously) but it is only plastic on the bottom. This is my thrid but in like 15 years.

Not as sturdy as a previous one

I had one of these dispensers for years and loved it. I ordered a second one and it’s kind of weak and rickety compared to my first one. I switched to the same brand different model and love it

Works Great, Looks Great

I've had the OXO Easy Press Stainless Steel Soap Dispenser for about a month or so and it's working great. It's not too tall so it's not tipsy, the bottom rubber grip adds even more stability, and it works like a charm. It also matches my stainless steel and black kitchen appliances perfectly. Don't know what all the bad reviews are about. It seems decently made and durable. I also like that I'll be avoiding plastic bottles. Guess time will tell how long it will last.

Quality below zero

I was surprised how little soap it dispenses but I was blaming poor design somehow although I had exactly the same before and it was working alright. Only a couple months later I realized the button does not press how it should, it only goes 25% down or so, because parts simply don't fit together. I used to buy OXO products in some hope for at least some level of quality, but this is just extremely badly done.

Super nice but...

I own many oxo products and love them all. This is the first one that disaponts me a little. Being a dishsoap dispenser i would expect the Stainless to be better quality. When drops of water dry the create rust and looks dirty. I wash it and dry it every time i do the dishes and water splashes on it. Other then that the oxo quality is there.

The best soap dispenser EVER!

I've probably tried 4 different soap dispensers in the past 3 years, and they always let me down. Either the pump stops working too soon, or the nozzle drips, or the dispenser gives too much or too little soap, or the stainless steel starts rusting, or the chrome plating starts turning green. This soap dispenser however is PERFECT! The nozzle never drips, the bottom is non-slip, it dispenses the perfect amount of soap (a small amount, ideal for concentrated soaps like Dawn), the filling port is big, the window at the bottom shows when you're low, and the stainless hasn't rusted...yet, fingers crossed. I'm extremely happy with this purchase, i never would have thought such a well designed soap dispenser would be this hard to find.
