Very convenient, but tricky to prime
I use this with a large, economy size bottle of soap, fed from the tube. This is makes refills much easier and much less frequent. I found that other dispensers failed after a few years, and had a soap bottle break off (I over-tightened it), making a mess. I have tried filling conventional dispensers from the top, but it is difficult to avoid overflow. I bought this one to install on a second sink. I have used one of these on my main sink for a year or two, and am very happy with it. I found that running the hose through the inside of the molded-in soap bottle handle (works on many, but not all, soap bottles) is a good way to keep it positioned with the end of the hose at the bottom of the bottle. Priming (should only be necessary the first time) is tricky. You should start by filling the included bottle with water, install it (including its stem), and pump a few ounces of water through the pump. Then fill the hose with either soap or water, remove the bottle & stemp, and insert the hose. It will still take a few dozen cycles of the pump to get the soap coming out. When I installed the pump to start with, I just made the plastic nut finger tight. That was sufficient. Here are things that didn't work: 1) Just putting the hose in the bottle and trying to pump the soap up to the dispenser doesn't work. After a few hundred pumps, you can get the soap up close to the dispenser, and that is all. 2) Elevating the bottle of soap makes it possible to pump the soap all the way up to the dispenser, but it won't enter the pump. At least this will fill the hose, though. 3) Adding water to the top of the pump (pulling the spigot and adding water with a dropper) was of no help. 4) Making a sleeve to adapt my vacuum cleaner hose to the soap spigot and using that to suck on the spigot while pumping did not work, even with my very powerful central vacuum. 5) I don't recommend cutting the hose to size. It doesn't make priming any easier. Just let it dangle, or drape it over something if you want to keep it out of the way. A longer hose makes replacing the bottle easier. 6) The included adapter that fits in the bulk soap bottle is OK, but it comes loose easily. It works better to drill a hole in the bottle's cap that will fit the hose snugly, and drill a tiny vent hole off to the side. That way it can be screwed down and is much more secure and stable. 7) I haven't tried using this or any other built-in dispenser with gel soap. I don't know if that would work, especially from a bulk bottle that is a couple of feet below the pump. I use dish washing liquid, or a liquid hand soap of similar viscosity. Don't be afraid to dilute your soap with 50% water or so to make it easier to pump.

Longest Neck I've Found, allows for limited clearance in sink corner installations
This soap dispenser has the longest plastic neck of any of the units that I have found. That is important in some installations with large sink bowls that have very little clearance between the outside of the sink bowl (under the sink) and surrounding cabinetry that supports the sink and counter top. Sometimes there is not enough room to get the soap bottle in there, and this unit often solves that problem because the long neck extends down far enough that the bottle clears the cabinetry underneath and screws in as it should. With short necks, sometimes that bottle just will not fit in there. On the downside, this unit has no check valve in it, so though it comes with a tube for attaching to a large bottle, forget it, it only works with the small provided bottle. (Or you can separately purchase a different extension tube that has its own check valve, at additional cost.) So this only gets a 4, because no check valve, but in most installation, it can often solve problems other units do not solve because of its long neck.

Great value for the price.
For the price this is well worth it, value for the money. I’m not writing this review because Danco or Amazon is giving me free stuff, but they are more than welcome to send me gift cards. I have 2 soap dispensers on my kitchen sink. I replaced my old Danco (about 3 yrs old) because the pump finally wore out and the other cheap brand didn’t last a year. For the price if you expect these types of pumps to last you a lifetime, you need to wake up. The key quality for choosing Danco over the other brands are as shown in my pics. The base thread is thicker and sturdier than the others that are thin and weak. They crack simply when you tighten the soap container bottle. The gray threat base is Danco. Look how much thicker compared to other brands that are thin and weak.

Works well
I bought this to replace the air gap on the sink, which was no longer needed since the dishwasher was removed. It fits over the space (1.25-1.5 inch hole), and the collar is plenty big to hide any existing staining (it's almost 2 inches). There is a very small rubber grommet to seal out water. This didn't quite fit over the existing hole, so I ended up using a lot of silicone under there to make a better water barrier. If you have a 1 inch hole, you won't encounter this issue. At first I tried using the long tubing, but found that air kept getting into the line. Even with the line sealed (I siliconed the connector), air gets in when the nozzle is depressed sometimes. With very thick soap it was very difficult to clear the air. Diluting it with some water helped, but it still happened sometimes. Another issue is that the nozzle twists left/right due to the strain of the tubing, and will not stay in place without some fiddling. I find that using the small bottle works much better. It is not terribly hard to fill, just lift it out and pour some soap/water in the hole.

Easy to install and works fine, but it's not BRUSHED NICKLE, it's chromed.
well packed and easy to open. Simple instructions, easy to follow (although it's easier to take the large plastic nut off and attach the long screw tube into the pump part and drop the entire thing into the hole, then screw it tight from underneath). The only problem....it's not brushed nickel, it's chrome, it's very 'bright' not a matte finish at all, not worth my time to return. Took only a few minutes to install since I already had the old one out that had broke. This one works fine, the soap shoots out from the underside, not the tip... quirky, but... works. Holds about 12 ounces of soap in the plastic bottle. One neat feature is that you can connect it to a jug of soap with the 4ft hose it comes with. I didn't do that, but it is a viable and very sensible option (for anyone that has filled one of these 'blind' before and watched the soap spill all over the back counter top). Nice touch adding that extra feature.

keeps loosing suction
not great. looks good but keeps loosing suction, even after primed following instructions, and adjusting hose to have tight fit. it just looses suction very frustrating when you have to press teh pump 20 times to get soap. will be replacing.

works fine if you use the enclosed bottle
works fine if you use the enclosed bottle . If you use the 4ft hose into a large container of dish soap it drains back and you need to prime all over again

Weak suction
The suction is not strong enough for the long hose.

Died after 7 months
Product seemed well built and sturdy at first, but 7 months later it got worse and worse by the day and finally it stopped pumping soap completely.
