Nice upgrade from previous model

I have had the previous model for the past decade, which only has kilos and pounds. We love the grams and ounce options that are in addition to the previous model's kilos and pounds modes. The display is easy to see, and the scale is easy to clean.

Amazing if slightly expensive but totally worth it scale

For the longest time I had a stupid little scale that barley worked and was impossible go turn on/off. So frustrating! When I was looking for scales my mom could use in the kitchen with no problem (as I have a family of 12 and we do a lot of baking) I found a few options. OXO is a great brand and that's what I wanted to stick with. I found a few, including ones that were a lot cheeper, but I went with this in the end. I'm glad of my choice. The scale is super easy to read and responses immediately to any weight placed on it. Even though it goes to 11 pounds the scale still reads more accurately than supposedly more accurate ones. The thing I love most about it is the pull out reader. It makes it so easy to see the weight when you have a really large pot on it instead of looking underneath the pot and trying to guess the numbers. The design also seems very sturdy and well engineered. Like it could take a few falls off the table without breaking. All in all, id definitely pay the extra mullah and go for this anytime. It will last for years of baking.

Works great for accumulating ingredients

I needed a scale with a good tare function and this one fits the bill. It's easy to tare out the weight of your container with a single button push. Once you add an ingredient to your dish you can hit the tare button again to be at zero again for your next ingredient. I really like that you can pull out the display so you can read it when working with a larger container. All in all, highly recommended!

Love the pull out display

We have been using a kitchen scale for years so have used quite a few. This is our favorite by far. We love the ability to pull the display further out for easy reading with a larger plate or bowl. This scale is accurate and durable.

A pleasure to use

I don't believe a lot of reviews, but I've really been impressed by the scale. I've had this scale for 5 months now and it's a real pleasure to use. I turns on quickly, is easy to read and seems to be very accurate and responsive. And the batteries seem to be lasting just fine. I think as long as you turn it off after use before storing it away, they should last a quite a while. I store it on its side in my cabinet, and it takes up very little space.

Perfect features

My favourite features on this scale compared to my old one are that 1. You can pull the display out if you have a big bowl and 2. It gives you enough time while turned on to add the ingredients (my old one would time out so I had to make sure I had all my ingredients on hand). Plus it’s slim and easy to store.

Great piece of Industrial Design.

The old adage "you get what you pay for" most certainly applies here. Our several old £10-ish kitchen scales with stainless steel bowl or not, were/are quite bluntly (and accurately) complete sh*te. The latest: constant fluctuations whilst the same untouched item was sitting on it; two identical cat bowls had a three gram difference in weight (now they're spot-on the same), would on/off and beep on its own, and clear the screen mid-measure, etc. Not good when you need accuracy! Please pay for something that never fluctuates, is bang on in a micro/millisecond (re: instantly) and beautiful to look at. Especially if you love to cook! It's a dream to use, and the slide-out display is such a clever addition when you have a large bowl to weigh in ingredients. I used to hate having to stoop down and shield my eyes and the light in a way that was conducive to seeing the display proper. There really isn't a good way, per se, but this takes all the annoyance right out of the whole deal and makes us wonder: how the eff did we ever cope without it?!? Take it from a pair whom use a kitchen scale a minimum of six times per day (cats on special diets) up to dozens (we love to cook/bake). It's a dream. Straight up. It's a beaut that simply wipes clean. Even has an on-screen gauge to show if you're getting too close to the 5kg. weight limit. Loverly. ????

Responsive scale, but inexplicably loses some accuracy

It mostly works as expected, but several times I've noticed that if I turn it on, add some weight to it, then remove the weight, it displays 2g on the scale. Makes no sense.
