Very glad to have no annoying ring, nice shape, and magnets are a nice feature - no lost pieces :)

We have about 10 OXO products right now and have had a total of maybe 30 in the past decade - they really have put out some nice, affordable and pretty decent looking items as much as these items can be decent looking without spending a fortune :) Just about everything has performed very well, and held up with pretty consistent use. Of course there are different levels of items and materials and the lower priced ones aren't going to perform or last quite as good/long, but for the prices they really are solid choices and much better than most of the low/mid priced kitchen tools in this category. The rings on our other sets of spoons and cups (also OXO - lasted a very long time, the metal non magnetic ones - and still look great with only a slight bit of wear.) I'm weirdly particular about really minute things like this and the rings and way the items all fit together in the space I have for them was strange - didn't quite fit, and the ring was the issue. So I switched both sets out to the magnetic ones and here are my thoughts.... LOOK: Nice and sleek, much cleaner look than the ugly ring: ) Standard silver/black goes with most kitchens and other OXO products FEEL: While they might be a slight bit on the light side, they are not what I would call thin or weak, and have held up very well with pretty consistent use and DW washing. Unless you're really rough with them you won't have problems with bending or warping. Yes there are more tough and heavy sets but I don't find the weight or quality an issue at all, you're not measuring anything larger than a teaspoon so really don't need an overly tough or thick metal :) CLEANING: DW cleaning is ideal of course, hand washing is not hard for these small items BUT I will mention the back sides are slightly curved and you do need to spend an extra minute making sure nothing is stuck to the inside parts. There aren't crevices or hard to reach spots so its not a real issue, and you hold the black part so you aren't ever actually touching the metal. HOWEVER - many stainless ones in this price range have flat edges which actually can be uncomfortable to handle and these rounded ones are definitely better to hold/use than those, so in a way this is actually a plus. MAGNETS: They hold fine, and do what they need to do - keep them together. At first I agreed with some of the other comments about them being a little weak - and I do think they are a little more on the weak side than strong side, but I now realize I would prefer this over them being too strong and hard to pull apart. For me, they DO stay together in the drawer and we have them laying down sideways. Even if I spread them apart while stuck together at the end they hold (see pic below.) They hold, and stay together enough for most people's use though - if you have a smaller slot for them with no other bulky or magnetized items nearby that is ideal, as of course those would connect if strong and close enough. BONUS: For the Kitchen OCD, they look a lot sleeker and cleaner than any set with a ring :) PRICE: At just under $10 they are fairly priced and in line with similar sets - IMO, slightly better than many at this range and do have the OXO really great CS (they do stand behind their products and are responsive.) If they made the magnets just a tad stronger and the back edges without the small curves these would be 5 star - but even as is we really like and can recommend them! Clever

What's not to like about these? The magnets keep them together while allowing you to use one without fumbling with the rest of them, or having to wash all of them afterwards. The narrow design fits into spice jars.

Nice magnet idea

They are great, light and good quality. It would be nice if they have a hole so they can also be hung or add it to a ring if the magnet falls off

Weak Magnets

The spoons themselves are nice but the magnets are very, very weak. The magnets are so weak you can lightly bump them in your drawer and the spoons detach. Sorry OXO, this could have been perfect but the magnets just don't really keep the spoons together.

Great set....great price!

10/10/13 Received this set around 9/18/13. I've used them quite a bit and just love them. I can see no down side to these whatsoever. I don't understand why anyone would say they are flimsy...this makes no sense. These are small measuring spoons...how thick and heavy can they be...my goodness...they are as thick and sturdy as they can be for their size and at an excellent price. You can find heavier measuring spoons by All Clad for $23+-, although I am sure some people will find something to complain about them as well. I don't know what some people expect. I've read in reviews that people complained about the ink/paint marking the sizes coming off. I would think if you put them in the dishwasher the strength of dishwasher detergent is certainly strong enough to break down the ink used for the size markings and the dishwasher detergent may discolor the black grips. I would not put these in the dishwasher. It takes two seconds to wash and dry them by hand. Usually when you put small spoons like this in the dishwasher you end up having to rinse and dry them by hand anyway because all of the water did not get out of the spoon cavity...so why bother. Some complained that the size markings were hard to read which I do not find to be the case at all. We are having no trouble reading the size markings and find them clear and easy to read. Some complained that they would not sit flat on the countertop. I'm looking at my set right now as I type this and my spoons are sitting on the counter and are perfectly balanced. I can see no reason for them to tip over other than if you bump them or have ghosts. People just want to complain...period! These are very very nice. I am going to purchase another set for myself and will no doubt buy them for gifts. I will recommend to all that they be washed by hand...what is the big deal...

Brilliant design!

The magnets have made my life SO MUCH EASIER! I have them mounted on my magnetic knife rack for easy access. Gone are the days of those annoying spoons that were connected by a ring so you either had to wash all of them, or disconnect them and misplace them. When I'm done, I can just snap them back in place ready for next time. The grip is super comfortable to use too.

Sharp Edges Cut My Finger

The measuring spoons aren't cut smoothly on the side and they sliced my finger.
