Your Best Friend in the Citrus World
An amazing addition to everyone's kitchen. If you want or need a Guaranteed way of only taken the citrus rind peel off without any of the pith, this will be your absolutely perfect kitchen treasure. I use mine daily on lemons, limes and oranges. You can make curly cues place then in empty jars in your refrigerator to add them later to brighten up your meals. You can also peel off the rind and not have to worry about pith. I've made beautiful dessert garnishes with the wide rind peels and with the ribbon curly cues. Easy tool to use and clean. It fits perfectly in your hands. I've also put the curly cues in a jar and lightly poured honey over them, gently stirred the honey for a great pick me up for my grandchildren or a cup of tea with family and friends.

Not as nice as the older model with the swing cover
The shape of the peeler is easy to hold and it's definitely sharp enough to handle carrots without much trouble. However, the strips it produces are more triangular than the almost matchstick shape that the similar all-black Oxo model produces. The cutting guard on that model is a slight pain at times but I think it really produces a nicer cut. For about the same price I think the OXO 0719812003665 is a better peeler than this one.

A Good Product
The OXO bar citrus peeler is a well-made product. It works well and easy to hold and use. I haven't come close to cutting myself with this so it is good. Maybe I jinxed myself. Like this peeler a lot.

Life saver!
One of the most minamilist products that changed my life. I love to julienne vegetables when I cook, especially being a small business owner as a catering company business. Many of my dishes are comprised of julienned vegetables and this has cut my labor down to less than half. I want twenty of them!

Dangerous but good!
This thing is the sharpest peeler I have ever owned. When I received it, I washed it and it slipped and cut my knuckle. Today I used it and my pinky finger was apparently in the line of fire and I took off a nice slice of finger meat. The upside is that my fingerprint is forever altered so I can't be caught. Great construction, sharp and fairly priced. This also doubles as a weapon on the off chance that the zombie apocalypse happens, I can slice a walker's brain out in a jiff.

Makes nice Strips of veggies
I got this for my husband who has started to cook in his retirement. He wanted one to make nice strips of vegetables for salads and cooking. It is exactly what he was looking for and works perfectly for salads and sautés. It has an easy to handle handle.

Fastest I’ve ever julienned a carrot before
This worked amazing on my carrot for coleslaw but unfortunately the cucumber didn’t julienne as nicely or easily because it’s softer than the carrot. I definitely love it for the carrots and can’t wait to try it on other veggies! Fastest kani salads ever in my future

Great little tool
Loving my OXO good grips Y-Peeler. I added the julienne peeled/cutter too. Easy to use & comfortable to hold. Incredibly sharp makes preparing even hard veg like carrots breeze.

Sharp and easy to use
I bought this to use with lemons and limes specifically, but I've also used it to peel potatoes and carrots. Both sides are very sharp and practically glide through fruit and veg. The handle may be a little short for someone with bigger hands though.

works pretty okay
i think there is a trick to using it. sometimes i get the cut i want other times its not very satisfactory. i wanted it to make zuccini noodes and carrot noodles. the blade is very sharp. i will keep experimenting with it.

Does the job!
Works pretty well. The blade is sharp and the handle is easy to hold. It does get stuck quite often but I’ve not had this kind of peeler before and I suspect it is just the nature of julienne peelers.

Pares lemons very finely
I wanted to pare some Sicilian lemons very finely without any pith to make Limoncello. This peeler was perfect.
