I like using this needle

I like using this needle, it's smaller then The Beast and can get into tight areas and deliver it's content. Downside is that the needle fits into the clear section with what seems like a pressure fit..it pops out at times and the relatively small slots in the needle can plug with any marinade that has pulp or particles to it...but that's rather common with just about any injector. Overall it's a solid buy, just be sure to really push the metal needle up into the plastic body of the injector. Also a good idea to do this in an area where squirts can't stain walls, curtains, cabinets or your shirt for that matter.

Perfect Injector

Injector very basic and perfect for our needs. I had concerns that it came with only one tip/needle as other sets contained 2+. Entire set is durably built and once it arrived, it was obvious one needle was adequate unless I were to accidently toss it in the trash. Not certain why I'd need a 2nd needle. We used it to inject brine for pork shoulder. It cleaned up easily and tucked it away til the next time we need it. Would def buy again.

Plastic was better than metal tip

This worked for about the first several dozen times I used it. The plastic is good quality. Like any such device pull the plunger back slowly and you'll get less air. However, it failed me when I pushed it into a bone-in-roast. With very little pressure the tip of the product hit the bone and bent over (the positioning of the holes in the end actually accommodated this breakage). Next time I'll a more sturdy product.

Hard To Assemble

I've been injecting and smoking meat religiously for a few years now. I try to keep to a budget so this seemed like great little injector since my old one was worn out. Amazing difficult to attach the needle to the end. My friend and I who are both BBQ'ers spent 20 minutes trying to assemble and couldn't.

Great Product for the Price

This marinade syringe works as promised and it's easy to clean, plus it's easy to see how much liquid you're transferring. For the few times per year I'm actually going to use it, the Outset Q120 is a great tool for the right price.

Plunger is a bit too loose.

The liquid bleeds up past the plunger if you press too hard or if the meat is compressed too much. You have to keep taking the top off and dumping what bled past the plunger before you can retract it fully again (or it just makes a mess). Otherwise it is easy to clean as it completely disassembles nicely.

Wicked looking critter but surely is helpful adding flavor, marinades, etc. And a nice shot of kaluah into a chocolate cupcake makes for some pretty tasty dessert.

Not thrilled by it

I bought this injector recently and used for the first time to inject a whole chicken. I had difficulty getting the marinade to pull into the tube. Marinade may have been a slightly of thicker consistency. It was a yogurt base marinade with some spices no fresh herbs. After several attempts. I tried Butter/lemon garlic marinade which was a little better but still not what I had hoped. as only very small quantity was getting into the tube. Another thing for the needle to pull the marinade into the dispenser needle must be fully immersed in the marinade to where the two holes on the needle are. So you require to have enough of marinade to be able to do that. I will experiment with other marinades but one thing is clear that you cannot infuse fresh mince herbs, as injector will not pull the marinade into reservoir which is disappointing.

should be used for what it's labeled for, but I used it to inject queso cheese into a variety of meats. it was awesome.

Worst product ever

The injector arrived like shown in the picture. The packing was open and there was no syringe in the package. Complete loss of money and time. Worst product ever!!

Don't wsate your money

I do not recommend this item as it does not work well. Whenever I have put the marinade in the tube, it ends up coming out from the top and leaking everywhere.
