More purple than grey
I love this bag so far! Just be advised it is more of an eggplant color than the deep grey it looks like in the picture. Only a couple of months after I got it, the hydration bladder has broken twice. First I replaced the part with the mouthpiece, which was leaking. Now, two pieces that were fused together are separated. It's warrantied, but I have to jump through all sorts of hoops to get it replaced, which might not be worth it when I can buy a new bladder from another brand for $15. I love the pack itself still though.

Love this backpack!
What I love: 1. Back remains cool based on the construction 2. Fits 2.5 or 3.0 liter water. 3. Water lead is magnetic. 4. Pockets! At your hips! 5. Fits everything and then some. Love this backpack.

Comfy!
I've been hiking with this pack every weekend since I got it in late August--it's super comfortable and plenty of room for water/extra clothes/snacks. The only thing I've had to get used to is the magnetic clasp on the top--it wasn't intuitive on how to unclasp it but I've now gotten the hang of it. In any case, I highly recommend this product!

Amazing, quality and spacious.
Super comfy, hardly felt like I was carrying anything! This product worked awesome for my 2 week camping trip. Used as a day pack I was able to hold much more than expected and the hydration was super nice. I was able to fit a 2.5L and 3L hydration bladder full together for the longer hikes. Worth the price!

Great for a carry on
Bought this for an Alaska trip for my wife to use as a carry on and use for hiking while there. The only problem is it's a little long when placed under the seat in front of you on the plane. The flight attendant noticed but didn't make us check it.

Osprey Quality - adjustable size - massive capacity
This is a very large day pack with a lot of great features. The frame and support system is very well designed and the hip belt is wide enough to distribute the weight well on the hips. While wide and comfortable, the hip belt is not overly thick or stiff (as you find in some larger packs) which makes for a nice balance of weight and performance. The adjustable frame makes it very versatile, however, I recently loaned it to a friend who is 5' 10" (yes, a very tall woman) and she said that even at the max adjustment, the frame was not long enough for her torso - the hip belt didn't come all the way down to her iliac crest (where the hip belt is supposed to ride in order to bear the weight of the pack). My 5' 4" wife wears the pack with it adjusted two slots below the max height setting, and my 5' 1" daughter has used it with the adjustment almost at the bottom, so I'd say (depending on your torso length) you should be good anywhere from about 5' 0" to 5' 8" in height with this pack. The included bladder is very good, but we have had some problems with it becoming partially disconnected at the "quick disconnect" at the top of the pack. This doesn't cause any leaking, but it does cause the water to stop flowing to the bite valve. The magnetic catch on the sternum strap is genius - it takes some practice to unhook it with one hand, but once you get the hang of it it is very secure yet very easy to un-do one handed. The extra magnet to hold the water tube is also fantastic. In general, the number of pockets and dividers in this pack make it very versatile - you can really load it down. However, the capacity is quite large, so there is the risk of over-loading it and making it hard to carry (the shoulder straps are pretty light and thin as they should be in a day pack). The gap between the frame and your back while wearing it makes for good air flow, but also puts the load a bit farther back, shifting the center of gravity rear-ward. If you're going to load this down you'll want to be mindful of how it is packed, with dense heavy items close to the body and lighter items on the outside. My only criticism of the pack is the quick disconnect on the drinking tube - it regularly comes apart slightly (not completely), which is a minor annoyance that requires someone to just push it back together when the water stops flowing. I've tried figuring out why this is happening, but there doesn't seem to be anything that is serviceable in the QD connection.

Purchased from Moosjaw-returned
I purchased this for a trip to Utah for day hiking the national parks, just after adding a few things, I filled up the included 2.5 Hydraulics LT reservoir which put on 5lbs . I put a Canon 5d mark iii in a Tenba 10 case, about 6lbs, 2 light weight jackets in the main compartment. a few small things in the other pockets, (love all the pockets and places to store stuff). Add 3 lbs alone for the pack when totally empty. So total of about 17 to 20 lbs and it felt like it weighted about 40 when on. The pack itself has adjustable torso, great breathable airspeed suspension, trekking pole attachment, scratch free pocket, large main pocket, 2 hip pockets, front mesh pocket plus a few more. Unfortunately I was unable to get the pack to fit me good, it was to heavy, even though it says OS and adjustable, I tried every slot for the torso adjustment to get it to work and it was very uncomfortable, I am 5'7. I do love what the pack has to offer. I would recommend that if you want to try it, go for it you might love it and it might fit you perfectly. I'm back to the drawing board to find the right one for me.

Perfect pack
This is it, the perfect back-pack. Watch the video to the left of the product picture to see all the features. The hydration tank is an excellent feature for any climate especially ours. All zippers and straps work perfectly. The fit is very comfortable and the four inch height adjustment will allow for several wearers to use it. This one will be shared by two scouts. I don’t know why this is called a “women’s” pack. Maybe the size? The color is a very dark grey with just a tinge of purple which makes it gender neutral, in my opinion, if that matters to you. The excellent build quality and height adjustment should make it last the teens several years.
