Excellent travel backpack!
So this thing, fully packed, can be taken on a plane (empty hydration pouch obviously). Probably as a carry-on, but with some smaller airlines like AeroMexico, it can* be consider a personal item (under the seat). I don't anticipate always being that lucky on a personal item though lol. And honestly, under the seat its a little too big, if they were really wanting to call me out, they could easily. Before travel, just unplug the hydration hose and put it in that compartment because who knows what's on that plane honestly. Also ordered the cap that goes over the mouthe piece, recommend that. The comfort is fantastic after spending the time to try all the adjustments and test it out with weight. It's got enough room for 4 or so extra days of rolled up clothes, toiletries, a DSLR camera with a good size lens, flip flops, chargers, backup batteries, umbrellas etc. etc. You'll need to have a good plan on what your packing and what you're doing. The space is good, but still limited enough you need a packing strategy. Now the best part of vacationing with this bag is once you leave your unneeded clothes etc. behind at a hotel, you can have all your potentially needed gear, cameras, so on, easily accessible and yes a wonderful hydration pouch ready to go. In the ancient ruins of Tulum, I burned through about a liter of water (bottled BTW lol, dont take chances on that) in a little over an hour. Super hot there. So in summary it's my new official international travel bag after this trip! Because it has enough space to get me where I need for a few days without doing laundry. Now I have seen the reviews mentioning the buckles, I haven't had a problem yet but I already have a fix just in case. Check out the "Sea to Summit Field Repair Buckle." I see what they were trying to do at Osprey, make a cool looking buckle on the cool looking bag, but I believe at some point I'll be using one of those replacement buckles. And again, based on how amazing the rest of the bag is, its really a non-issue. A cheap fix for on down the road with those replacement buckles. Highly highly recommend this bag for all of your international adventures! Also got compliments on the green, I personally think it looks great and different from basic black, but... you can make your own choices. Cheers!

Really Awesome Bag...With a Few Dealbreakers
I really wanted to love this bag. I really appreciate the form factor, which is hard to find in today's daypacks (most seem to be super long and slender) and makes this pack super versatile. Unfortunately there are a few things that kept this from being a GREAT bag and led to me returning it. Things I liked: - Form factor and very generous amount of space - Great zippers - Nice organization - Good design of lashing points/compression straps - Big hip pockets - Good water bottle holder design - Much improved water bladder! Big deal gripes: - The hip belt webbing is TINY for the amount of weight this bag can carry and leads to it cutting into your waist. This is BY FAR the biggest issue. I could deal with almost everything else. I'm not sure why they skimped on this. I'd like to see them use the same webbing on the Stratos 34 (which is awesome). - The sternum strap has elastic in it which makes it hard to get a consistent carry with the bag. Seemed like a great idea at first, but I think a static strap works better for hiking. - The mesh back panel is trimmed with some rather stiff nylon material that chafes a little if you are wearing just a tshirt. Maybe this would improve with time, but other Osprey packs with a similar trampoline back panel don't have this problem. In my opinion it sort of defeats some of the comfort benefits of this design. And less important gripes: - Does the hydration compartment really need all that space and zipper? I preferred the Osprey design that just had a separate drop in slot between the back panel and the main compartment (e.g. the Escapist series). It was more space efficient, and saved considerable material weight. - The harness materials are light colors and are going to get gross really quickly! I ended up with a Stratos 34, which has its own drawbacks (mostly tight space, unnecessary features, and weight) but was ultimately MUCH more comfortable. If I could have the layout of this bag and the comfort of the Stratos 34, I'd be pretty stoked. Osprey has been doing some weird things with their bags lately, and I'd like to see them go back to tried and true designs!

Comfortable and practical
Extremely pleased with my Manta 34 (green). Plenty of pockets and storage space. I like the way the walking poles are stored. The ventilated back is great and minimises those 'wet' backs after a day in the hills. So comfortable to wear and sits on your hips nicely too. Can't get used to the water bladder and subsequent cleaning. Also you can't see how much water remains in bladder unless you take it out of rucksack to view. Will revert to bottles. Overall, would thoroughly recommend this rucksack

Good bag
Great bag, very well vented, the sweat evaporates really well. So you are not left feeling wet. And plenty of storage, not used the drinking bladder yet but it looks as though it would do a good job. The supplier delivered earlier than expected and I'm very happy with it.

Osprey siendo Osprey

Gran capacidad y volumen. Osprey 100% recomendable siempre.
