Great chair if you have a soft bum

The chair was very easy to assemble. It seems to be made of pretty good wood, which, I am hoping, will serve me for some years. I have two problems. The seat part, while there is a thin cushion over it, is not indented (nor intended) for the human anatomy, rather, it is just flat. This requires a thick cushion, which, in turn, causes me to sit a bit too high for my needs. Another problem is the fact that the lever for raising/lowering the chair and for locking it in place has little sideways leeway, causing me to get stuck often, which requires me to move the lever again. Not a big problem but, at times, annoying.

Do not buy a return on this item!!

I ordered a return that was labeled in very good condition unfortunately the driver had trouble bringing it to me because the box was so destroyed, once open there were no instructions and one arm was broken, this obviously was not in very good condition!! The assembly is very easy and went smoothly, I have the arm fixed and covered over the scratches. The color is exactly what I wanted and is very comfortable to sit in. Beware of returns!!!

Great chair, but the seat cushion is barely there.

Save a few bucks and get the one without the "padded" seat. It's almost nonexistent. If you need cushioning take the money you save and buy a real seat cushion.

The chair won't stay up!

I really like this chair very much. It reminds me of the vintage oak chair I had when I was a kid studying at my desk at home in my room/desk. Nice and solid, easy to put together and arrived well packed and fast delivery. But. While assembling the chair, the plastic end to the rod, (used to pull to raise and lower the piston for the chair) Losing the plastic end did not interfere with raising and lowering the chair. If the piston had continued to work, I would have rated this chair 5 Stars, easily. I purchased this chair in March of 2021. I am out of the country from end of April to the middle of October. Mid November of 2021 the chair began to slowly go down about once a day. By this date (12/2021) the chair won't stay up for more than 15 min now. It needs a new Hydraulic piston. Wonder where I can get that.

Won't stay up

I weigh 250 and used it daily for 4 months working from home I retired and use it sparsely since then but after 10 months the chair won't stay up Very annoying to fall half inch every few minutes

I love it!

this was easy to assemble. there were a couple of flaws in the wood but was able to correct it with a furniture marker. I did not have the same issues as others with broken or cracked wood. i have a smaller desk is in my dinning room/kitchen area that needed something that looked more like a piece of furniture than office equipment. This is perfect. Looks antique-ish and really finished the look so my area doesn't look sloppy. although i gave it 5 stars for comfort, i may update this... i do not work from home until tomorrow! we'll see how 8 hours of sitting in it works out but sitting it in briefly over the weekend it was very comfortable! the price is reasonable... i had seen "real" antique bankers chairs go for $2000-$4000 on line. less than $200 fits my budget and looks great!!! ***update*** 8 hours of comfort!!! Love it!!!

First one lasted two years.

First one lasted two years. Decided to buy another to use while I try to fix the first one. Nice look nice comfort. Not sure about how long they last, ask me again in two years.

Awesome Chair

This chair is very comfortable and solid. Make sure you have the time to assemble (took me an hour - was being careful). Assembly - I also used the mallet for the plugs. The inside arms took a while to figure out how to get them in - I used the wooden wedge they provided for the caster assembly to give me leverage and used the mallet to tap them in. I ordered three more. Update: One chair was sent with damaged parts, miscoloured plugs 3/4 is okay I guess.

Great Chair!

This chair was exactly as advertised. Assembly was relatively painless and when finished, I had a very solid and great looking chair.

Love my chair!!

This is a well-constructed, solid wood chair. The color is gorgeous and it has a comfy vinyl cushion seat. It's roomy and you don't feel pinched when sitting. I highly recommend! ????

Faulty Gas Lift Cylinder

I love this chair and most things about it, but I would like to say that there are two items that stop me from giving it a better review. 1. The gas list cylinder that comes with the chair from the manufacturer is faulty on my product and keeps lowering without me touching the handle to do so. Now, I will have to spend more money to purchase a heavy duty gas cylinder that actually works. 2. The plastic casters are not a very good quality and with a chair like this, they should provide a higher quality caster that can roll on any surface, without leaving marks.

Quality of the product

Being with hands of multiple tums it very easy to assemble, but if you buy the recommended caster it is abit of work to install. The only comment is that the chair does not incline back that much, but the product is just great finish is perfect and fitting is excellent
