holds up
We used this on a wall and it screwed in easily, is holding 5 lids and is holding up. It is resting on a counter edge not free standing, so that could be helping. We have lids that aren't the round knob and although they don't slip perfectly into the design, it does hold them so I'm satisfied. It doesn't work inside our cupboard, as you wouldn't be able to close the door, there's not enough space between that and the shelves. But I think other people were able to use it this way.

Perfect storage solution
I LOVE this! I live in a decent sized 2 bedroom apartment with a postage stamp for a kitchen. I've had larger kitchens in smaller apartments! Storage is at a real premium in the kitchen. I was previously using command hooks stationed at certain points on the inside of the cupboard door to hold only 2 of our lids. This helped some but when one of them fell off and had to be repositioned it just didn't go very smoothly so we went back to shoving the lids into the cabinet with the pots and pans. It was such a cluttered mess and so loud when digging out what we needed to cook with. Then I found this little gem. Anyone who knows me knows I love organization tools, shelves, racks, holders, hooks, etc. So this was right up my alley, I wish I had found it sooner! All it took was 3 little screws (ones I already had on hand) and less than 5 minutes this was up inside the door to my pots and pans cabinet. The only drawback for us is our pot handles are not knobs, though they do fit. This can hold 6 lids of varying sizes though we only have 4 lids. The largest lids at the bottom and the smallest at the top. It can be screwed in via 3 screws, one at the top and 2 at the bottom. This came with screws and anchors if you wanted to mount it to a wall. I had no problem using shorter screws and putting them directly into the cabinet door and it closed just fine. If you have shorter cabinets this might not work well, with a nice deep one it works just fine, all of our pots and pans towards the back with the handles lined up and all the lids neatly hung on the door. It takes less time to find what we need and it's a lot quieter when we start pulling stuff out of the cabinets to cook! I have seen photos of others using Command strips to hang this vs screwing directly into the cupboard, such a genius idea! If you're looking to clean up your space and maximize what little space you have this is the ticket!

Space saver
I saved shelf space for my pots and pans but the big bonus was the ease to find the correct lid

EXACTLY what I needed!
First, I have two of these mounted in the side of my pantry with my lids, and have my pots and pans either hanging in my kitchen or under my counter. Lids were the WORST thing to manage and store before. I live in a small Apt and love to cook so I have ALOT of pots and pans. I have All Clad, Viking and some Cuisinart cookware, and NONE of the lids are interchangeable. Lids were noisy, hard to keep in one place, and were just plain FRUSTRATING to try to store. Bought one of these about a year ago, and filled it with all of my pot and pan lids. It will hold 6 to 8 very well, but unfortunately, I literally crammed the lids in that lid holder. And It held 11!, but I will not say it held them comfortably. They would at times, fall out because it is really made to only hold about 6. I ended up buying an additional one AND IM GLAD I DID! They hold pot/pan lids from 13" down to about 6". To be honest it holds the bigger ones better than the smaller ones. Its kind of a bendable (to some extent) type metal that is covered with a thin rubber to keep from scratching your lids and to help "lock in" the lids once they are set in place. I also love that this company now makes the holder with the "holders" portion curved now, so they hold rounded lids better. The "holders" used to be (like on my older holder) flat or straight, which was great for flat lids, but you had to wedge rounded lids into the holders. Now I have a flat one for my flat lids and a curved one for my curved lids. These lid holders are THE BEST! Buy 2 if you have more than about 7 lids. And remember, if you plan on mounting it inside a cabinet door, the lids will protrude into the cabinet, when the door is closed, taking up a lot of space inside the cabinet, so you might not be able to keep larger pots down there as well.

Not really a door rack, but great for organization!
The rack is too short to fit on both the top and bottom frame parts of a standard height bottom cabinet door. The screws won’t go through the thin part of a cabinet so you can choose to hang the rack on the door from the top screw only so the bottom freely swings, or mount it on a side wall as pictured by someone else. The single screw does hold the rack decently, but I wouldn’t want to tempt fate with the rack fully loaded with lids. I chose to wall mount the rack after trying to door mount it. Don’t believe the amazon listing picture. The short screws provided will work for the door frame without going through, they will not work for the thin parts. Just a word of caution, when trying to screw the rack in place, it split my door along the grain by a good 6 inch length. Once mounted on the side wall, or any wall, the rack works as intended. The racks have a decent amount of flex which allows you to jiggle lids out if you fully load the rack. I would still recommend only putting a lid on every other rack if you use lids frequently as it does get annoying trying to unstick a knob out from under the metal frame of the neighboring lid. Overall it works well to keep lids organized and out of the way. Just don’t expect to hang on a cabinet door as pictured.

Helpful in the kitchen
We installed this inside of the cabinet next to the oven in the tall thin cabinet for cookie sheets since our oven has a drawer, it’s organized the pile of lids we had shoved in there before. We have a lot of the bulbous glass lids and I could fit most of them on here, if they have big knobs maybe one slot might not work but the super flat stainless ones would probably work better. I also have a super small lid that wouldn’t stay in this thing, but it’s an odd size.

Makes it easy to store lids.
My lids are easy to find, because they are on the door.

great for tidying cupboard, sadly quite ugly
Fits lots of lids. Too ugly to be on show. Fairly secure - very big lids might not fit.

Worth a try at this price
After having read all the reviews on pan lid racks - it was hilarious reading how so many people expected this rack to fit their lids like a glove!! There are millions of different pan lids with an assortment of handle top sizes. How could you ever expect a simple rack to fit what you have unless you buy one specifically from the manufacturer? Mine didn't fit perfectly either. But it did the job, and with a little bending of the well made quality racks, it serves its purpose perfectly. Happy bunny with lids out of the way. I would recommend.

Works for my lids
Sturdy enough for all my lids. I attached to my cupboard door. Works well.
