Loud but effective

I've been researching OralB toothbrushes for a LONG TIME. There are way too many options to choose from. I'm a loyal Sonicare user for many yrs, but wanted to try the round brush to compare results. I decided on this brush for the simplicity. I don't particularly need the Bluetooth feature & haven't tried it yet so I can't speak on it. The Amazon packaging was just fine but the actual product box was a mess! It appears to have gotten wet at some point. I can't believe a company would send a product out in that condition. Fortunately, the product itself wasn't damaged at all so I didn't return it. I like the multiple speeds, the timer, & the pressure feature. I also like that the brush is firm, yet soft. I was very pleased with the cleaning I got after one use. Being able to focus on each tooth with the rounded head like dentists use is satisfying. I still love my Sonicare but now I have another good option I think will bring good results with use. My only gripe is the thing is LOUD! It sounds like a jet is taking off in my mouth! But if that's the only issue I'm happy.

Good power and battery life, but all the different features make it a hassle sometimes.

I upgraded to this toothbrush finally after years of using Quip electric toothbrush and the difference was incredible. I love how clean my teeth get with this toothbrush even though they are crooked and difficult to clean with ordinary toothbrushes. I like all the different features and the ability to connect the brush to my phone to do guided sessions so I can make sure I cover all the areas, especially when I first started using this toothbrush. However, the same fact that there are all these features makes this a hassle to use sometimes. I wish there was an easier way to just fix the toothbrush to stay on one setting forever. I use the daily clean feature and the tongue cleaner regularly but they are the first and last settings on the toothbrush. So I have to make sure to press through all the other options to switch it every time, which is very frustrating. You can fix it by starting a goal on your phone with the setting you like but it doesn't stay like that for a long time if you aren't using your phone every time you brush. The battery life is pretty decent. It lasts me around two weeks after a full charge and it charges overnight. The case is perfect for traveling and replacing the heads was very easy. If they made the tongue cleaning feature and teeth cleaning feature work with separate buttons, I feel like I would have no complaints.

I find to understand but effective

I can’t get over disliking the loud vibration and buzzing transmitted through my jaw bones BUT after less than a month of once a day use my gums are less sore and the dentist says my mouth looks cleaner. Design comments: >some people in my house can barely sense the fluctuations in buzz intended to signal the 30 second marker. Maybe a chirp instead ? >even the mildest setting is annoying to me. Oh well. It’s not a joy toy. >why doesn’t it stop after 2 minutes? Why? Why? >bristles are very stiff to me >you have to press against gums quite hard to get a green light. Harder than I wanted to at first. Wish that had more range for low end.

best electric brush

Very different from the sonicare brand and worth the money. This type electric brush allows to really polish the teeth and remove plaque, not just vibrate it off. a selection of heads for varying uses is very helpful. It is easy to turn off and on with a raised button. Waterproof and cleanable. My dentist and his staff are 9 of ten favored to this brand brush.

Oral B makes the best toothbrushes

I have purchased several electric toothbrushes over the years. Always been very satisfied and received great dental checkups. My favorite is the more advanced model but this one has lots of great features and is a gift.

Feels like I left the dentist

Excellent toothbrush! I finally upgraded from my manual toothbrush to the Oral B Electric toothbrush line. They are amazing! I love the timers that remind you every 30 seconds that you can move and the longer 2 minute timer-vibration. I also like that you can see the red light if you're brushing too hard. Overall, a worthwhile upgrade.

Toothbrush died at 13 months old. UPDATE: repaired by Braun Oral B in Florida

UPDATE: April 6, 2023. I went online to the Braun Oral B service page and sent my dead toothbrush for repair. It was returned 3 days later and is now working perfectly. 5 stars. Bought the Oral-B Pro 5000 Smartseries in February 2022. Used it twice a day at 2 minutes per session. It started losing its battery charge at 1 year old. It took only 4 minutes of usage for the led light to change from 3 bars to 2 bars and another 4 uses to kill the battery. And today it stopped charging. This was a $100 mistake so it's back to a manual toothbrush or some cheaper brand.

Buy a cheaper one. You won't see a difference

The toothbrush itself is great along the gravel case and the stand That being said, the bluetooth is useless the 2nd day of usage because nobody's gonna take it their phone in the bathroom every morning to follow their brushing habits And all the brushing mode is pretty useless too in my opinion I seriously think that if I would be doing a blind test, I couldn't tell the difference between this one and a less expensive toothbrush If you want the case and the stand, buy it separately and will save yourself tons of money

Not worth an upgrade - Whats with the bright light!!!

Got the upgrade bug one night and decided to get something new to replace my triumph. 1st, this was a waste of time and I should give my head a shake.. what possible upgrade could a vibrating brush have.. Outside of a slightly longer battery life, zero difference. When buying these, buy the cheapest one.. i'm sure its the same motor in all. You won't use all the modes, you don't need to see which mode it is.. and it is ridiculous oralB charges so much more to have a mode icon on the level above this. They could cut their lineup to 3 brushes.. basic, one that has all features, and the top travel version. And bluetooth is a joke.. whos actually gonna run an app prior to brushing? The exec that came up with this should be fired, but how else would OralB flog an "upgrade"? And as others have said, the charging light is BRUTAL. First night it was like we had rented a room in a seedy motel next to a flashing neon sign out the window.. closed the door to the bathroom but the door edges would glow on and off.. on and off.. on and off like a scene from Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Really poorly thought out product. You could tell this was just rushed out with no thought at all to any of it. Cash grab. Stick with your old one.

Love the toothbrush, bad experience with the seller

I was initially hesitating between the Pro 3000 and the Pro 5000. However, I decided to go with the Pro 5000 because the Amazon comparison thingy showed that the Pro 5000 came with 3 brush refills, while the Pro 3000 only came with one. When the package came, I noticed I only had one refill. I contacted the seller. They apologized and said that they didn't have any refills available at this time. I asked for some kind of compensation, as the website clearly stated it came with 3. They told me they would get back to me the next day, but never did. I thought it was worth mentionning in case someone wanted to order this one because of the number of refills included. About the toothbrush itself: I'm someone who loves gadgets and nice features. Some features aren't necessary, but I enjoy them nevertheless. I love that the brush is powerful enough to make me feel like I just came from a dentist appointment whenever I brush my teeth. The different brush modes are also very interesting, although I only tested Daily clean and Whitening so far. The travel case is also very handy, as I now carry my toothbrush with me wherever I go. The battery life seems good so far: I keep it on the base at home, but I just brought it with me for 5 days, using it twice a day and it didn't even loose a bar of charge. Even though it's more of a nice feature than a necessity, I like the bluetooth connectivity and using the Oral-B app. For me, it mostly helped creating a routine that it really good for my dental health. I also like the light and the fact that I can choose the color I want to personalize my toothbrush. Overall, great product, but bad customer support.

Overall, a great product and value for the money.

I bought this as an upgrade and replacement of my 8 yr old Oral B electric toothbrush. This toothbrush comes with a neat little covered container for 4 brush heads. There's also a battery indicator to indicate when charged for use. The 1st thing I noticed is the speed, 10x faster. This is great for brushing along the gum line and in between teeth to remove plaque. The blue tooth works but I didn't rate it because I don't use it. I do like the 5 different settings which provides more options to brushing your teeth. I recently had a wisdom tooth pulled and the sensitive setting was not too harsh on the healing gums. I also liked the pro setting which can be used to brush each quadrant of your teeth for 45 secs. Or, you can set it to go off at the 2 min dentist recommended mark. Overall, a great product and value for the money.

Unhappy

I am not very happy as I it only came with one head. The product description says one but the chart says three. Information needs to be corrected. Also I can’t tell what cleaning mode it is in. I just have to guess by what speed and vibration it works at. Also in using professional mode it says four LEDs will light up. What four LEDs? Are you counting the Bluetooth light as one because the little bar only has three. No matter how long I press the mode button only two light up so I guess this is another trial and error process. I thought Braun was better than this. I guess they wanted me to buy a more expensive model.
